So I suppose it's agreed that the library will be split into three towers?  In that case, how will they be split up?  How about Myth/Lore in one tower, History in another, and everything else in the remaining one?  

Does it look like the two of us are the only ones left in this discussion?

Rayne is very, very busy at the moment as you can easily tell, judging from her lack of even visiting Santharia in the past several days.


As for myself, I am also quite busy, and am suffering from the lack of a stable internet connection.

I'll try and get around to this topic soon. Sorry for the delay.

Concerning the library, it was Myth in one, Lore in another, and Records in the last.... here is what Xarl said earlier in regards to them...

Problem with this is, we already have a tower of records.  It's for keeping student records and other such things.

But I believed Xarl intended his version of the Tower of Records to also contain student records and such.... hmm... where'd he disappear off to again anyways?

Things seem rather quiet around here, so I thought I'd try and revive this discussion.  Anyway, I've made some changes to the map.  



The changes:
Firstly, I merged the Garden House and the Main Tower.  I thought the Main Tower was a little redundent, since it was mainly to be used as a place for students to gather in, and the Garden House had a similar purpose.  One such place should be enough.  The cafeteria, which was originally to be in the Main Tower, should fit in the Garden House, I think.  

Also, now the Library takes up three towers.  However, I haven't labelled them yet, as it seems we haven't quite decided how they will be split.  

What does everyone think about this?

Does the great hall (for official gatherings and grand feasts) in the wing near the left library tower still exist then?it should be something different than the normal gathering place, otherwise, I don't have problems with your proposal.

I have to admit that I didn't follow this dicussion in detail, but I see a lot of work has gone into it, and I would like to finally get a final concept up.

So if someone has any further comments on this issue, please provide them, so that perhaps final adjustments can be made, otherwise (I see Talia already agrees) we can take the final proposal of Mina and make a decent Photoshop rework (at least I'd try to do so). I think with a bit playing around with textures, some shadow/glow effects a Photoshop rework could turn out quite nice.

Question, Mina: Do you have the last posted version without the texts and arrows? I could use such a version to apply the Photoshop textures on it.

Hn. I personally don't think the hospital tower should be so far away. After all, if something happens, we don't want people having to travel over long distances to recieve medical care.

Alright then, I'll move the hospital closer to the other towers, then send the file to Arti.  

Just in case you don't know, this isn't done to scale.  Which means that the inner towers aren't touching the shield dome, and the towers aren't quite as large as they look here, and they aren't all hexagonal, etc.  I just did it this way because the dimensions and such haven't really been decided yet, and because it's just easier this way.

Well, the Garden House wasn't supposed to be a gathering place. It's supposed to be more of a relaxing, calm area where a student can go to be alone to study, rest, and be alone with nature.

The Hospital Tower could possibly also serve as the Main Tower on its lower levels, since it's quite doubtful that there would be a full tower of injured people around the clock.

Talia... did you have a name or anything for the other houses? Or are they atm just corridors between the outer towers or whatnot?

Well, what kind of gatherings are supposed to take place in the main tower then?  I can't really think of enough uses for the tower to keep it.

I'm not really sure, to be honest. Maybe if Ximax has 'club' things, then club meeting places would be in there... but... I too am not sure. I would think most people would hang out with their friends or whatever outside during whatever breaks and such there are.
