Anyone interested in working with me on development of Northern Sarvonia, please post a response in this forum.  Please include your area of interest and/or your specific proposal (if you have one).  If you have already laid claim to or are developing a idea for this area, please indicate that here, so we don't duplicate effort or accidently take over somethjing you have already worked out but not posted yet.  Thanks, and I welcome your assitance!

Hi Dear Mentor, I would be pleased by aiding you in the development in the North, as I want to see as much of this world as possible, and having just finished a bunch of entries in the south, I'd like to see the north as well number1 I have no real preference yet, but I'll browse around...

Ps: I will be gone for three weeks, but maybe I'll develop some things while I'm gone

I would also love to work in the north. At this point my only proposal that I have is basically a giant wolf the Kuglimz could use as a calvary mount. I'm willing to work on just about anything.

Hey Alysse:)

I have a few proposals and areas of tentative 'expertise'.

Area of "expertise" (I use that word VERY liberally btw)
- The ice Tribes and their lands

Projects in mind
- Perhaps an entry or two for specific ice tribes, like the remusians have.
- Black gnomes (whereabouts would these little guys actually fit into the cultures of Northern Sarvonia? perhaps The forrest of Cartash?)

Projects in works
- The Giant Race (any ideas concerning this would be greatly appreciated. I shall probably be making a thread on it soon stating some of my own ideas to get a bit of input, but we shall see.

- Ice tribes Religion (I have slowly been compiling this up since earlier this year. Got permission from Curgann to start it and while i haven't finished it, have been working on it from time to time.

Alysse, I will peek in now and then as well, at least where the Himiko are concerned.

I might have a peek in for those giants. And you can count me in on anything regarding orcs of course :)

Thanks to all of you who responded!

@Pikel:  If you woul like to start with developing the black gnomes, that would be fine.  However, gnomes live in settlements, not forests.  There are a great many little villages in Northern Sarvonia--check the maps, pick a couple that are undeveloped and use them for your gnomish settlements.  Also remember that gnomes are alchemists and glassmakers, so they need to be near areas that have sand. (This could be a major trade item for a village in Northern Sarvonia, as glass would be very expensive and difficult to bring from  the South.) Please confer with Talia about the Ice Tribes, since she has done some work on them. Ihave a few ideas aboiut the giants race, too, so we shall have to put our heads together with Marvin about them and see what we come up with.

@Marvin:  I think most of our orcs are fairly complete, but anything that needs extra work should definitely get you a bell-ring for a look-through.  And I'm sure Pikel would appreciate your input with the giants--he has a lot on his developmental plate! grin

@Mennon: The Kuglimz cavalry needs are adequately supplied by their horses, but perhaps Pikel's gnomes could use the wolves as riding beasts or transport animals.  Horses, and even ponies, would be rather big for them.  Something like a nicer version of Wargs, maybe?  ;)   Northern Sarvonia is low on plants and insects as well.  I want to do some development of medicinal herbs and spices from the North--the Nomadic Kuglimz healers would have a lot in ther pharmacopoeia (I think that's spelled right)  It might be fun to try your hand at something esoteric like a bug that produces a beautiful colour-fast dye, or a hallucinogenic plant as well.  Whatever you like, there are plenty of possibilities.

Anyway, thank you all and I look forwards to seeing what you come up with.

just jumping in on the domesticated wolves idea;

The main problem with carnivorous pets is that you have to feed them.. cats and dogs one can manage, but feeding pony-sized wolves is going to be something that needs carefull consideration (especially since a small gnome could be about bite-sized for these beasts ;))
