Unintentional Easter Egg: The Templar Knights of Thalambath were created as I wanted an order of royal guards that had a cool name. I always loved the name of the order of the Teutonic Knights ever since playing Age of Empires II, so I decided to use something based off of that. So I replaced Teutonic with Templar (defender of the temple), as most of Thalambath's agencies are based off of the word 'Temple' (Temple of the Arcane, Templums, etc), and so therefore they were defenders of the Templums.

However, I only just realized now that if you reverse 'Templar Knights', it becomes 'Knights Templar', another, even more widely known crusader unit (and one with lots of conspiracy theories about it). This was seriously not intended, though incredibly fitting.  buck

Lovers of English nonsense poetry may recognize that the name of a certain Santharian association of artisans' guilds bears a close resemblance to the name of one of the many oddball creatures that populate Edward Lear’s poem “The Quangle Wangle’s Hat”. The Fymbel entry acknowledges the debt to Lear in the section on the Woodwrights Guild. Look out for the corkscrew legs - they are a dead  giveaway.

Eight Winds Bay has a few Easter Eggs scattered around it ... just waiting for the observant reader to 'follow the yellow brick road' and realise that in the weather section, it could be said that you are 'somewhere over the rainbow'.

There is a Blue Druid mentioned as a researcher in the article who is quite a bewdy ... if he was here, and had children, he'd be dangling one over the head of a Monster Trolog to make sure the child wasn't afraid ... Too bad if he meets his end being poisoned by a Monster Trolog.

Finally, the Daughters of the Devourer/Daughters of Gouran are a dip of the hat to the Brothers of Destruction tag team of WWE fame.

And as per normal ... there is a Star Trek reference in there somewhere ... or perhaps 47. :D

I included an easter-egg in the "Krean Arcane ARts: Overview" entry- a very obvious reference to my favourite PC game! The following passage is a line from the cinematic opening of the Lords of Magic Special Edition (1998), which I am quoting from memory (so I may have done grievous bodily harm to the original):
