I was thinking for my next submission after I finish the Saiph stone, I would create a berry for the Herbarium but I need some general input as to how to best describe a berry that resembles a :D raspberry :D. I have not seen any entries that show examples of a Caelereth term for such a berry, and I know that for compendium entries the terminology needs to be kept as Santharian as possible. Thanks for any assistance that may be provided.

You could call it the Beruberry, and sort of hide"berou" in there. Plus, it sounds cooler.  cool

Common plants very often have a number of common names, so you don't have to choose just one, of course.  The berry should have a main name by which it is listed in the Compendium, but you can also have 'local' nomenclature.

Some further ideas:

Ruddberry (evocative of its colour and rough texture)

Seedlefruit (for the many minute edible seeds around which the pulp forms)

Dame'sberry (raspberries are a well-known uterine tonic, for menstrual cramps - or 'course-pangs', as they might be called in Santharia - and for easing childbirth)

Matronberry (for the same reason)

Gnomespurse (its pouchy, clustered appearance?)

Barbleberry (the prickly canes on which it grows and the small hairs on the fruit itself)

Speaking from a strictly botanically view a raspberry is several little fruits stuck together to make a big fruit called a compound fruit a botanist with a sharp knife could dissected and examine a raspberry flower and determine its basic structure without use of magnification here is a picture of a raspberry in cross section
