Well, all of the Gods have their special beast created by Arkon mentioned in their symbols section, but some of their companions have their own entries while others do not. I was curious if it was planned for these to have their own entries written, and if so I would not mind fulfilling the role.  :)

If you find a hole, jump in and start digging!

Generally speaking, that is.  If you are talking about Aeruillin (and I'm not sure *I* spelt it right), you should check with one of the mods of the continent first.  Also, you might want to ask the Bestiariumists (snickers) if you can create a new beast, and explain why.  I take it these are actual animals which represent divine avatars, so you can create a beast entry rather than a myth?

Post a request with a specific suggestion and concept, and we'll have a look!  Good luck...

Some could actually exist, but others are like the Avéquis Lighthorse in that they are mythical. Currently the beasts are not written in the beasitary, and I'm guessing it should remain that way. There's tree-spirits, fying horses, and cupid-like things mentioned in the symbols section. The only *possible* one is a chameleon(sp?)-like thing. Their links are currently placed under the link of their God's name, so it might be best if we stick to that format? I will speak with the continent mods first, though other than Artemis, I am not exactly sure who that would be.

Just a general advise for long term development, Eléyr - I notice that you jump around from Aeruillin mythical beasts to Mari Cults of Nybelmar, make magic suggestions, create a beast, a plant etc. ;)

It's good to see that you're interested in practically everything, though I recommend to try to get a focus on something (a topic, an area etc.) long-term, because it's hard to be an expert on Aeruillin and Nybelmar and then develop Sarvonian beasts at the same time - if you know a region pretty well its better to create lore and other related stuff in that context, know what I mean? ;)

Wow...I am actually the same way - two spells, one beast, two people, a historical and a plant...I guess I'm all over the place too, eh?

Problem is I can't decide where to stay. I originally wanted to develop everything Nybelmar, but was told not to touch unless I work with the original expert...who I don't really see around at all. It is hard to begin developing a specific area when the original expert is not around anymore.

So, I move around to topics that do not require an expert...random stuff that happens to catch my fancy. But, if I were given a choice of interests, I would develop Nybelmar or the Gnomish race.  ;)

EDIT - Oh, and I would absolutely DIE of happiness of given the option of developing clerical magic...I mean I would seriously have a smile each and every day of my Santharian life... :D

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

Well, Arti, I do intend to focus in on things some day. I guess I'm just 'trying' everything before I make a definite decision. I'll have to say I'm leaning more towards the Murmillions currently than the Aeolrhan faith, but I like both nonetheless. I'll definitely get my focus eventually! Thanks for the tip Arti!

Oh, we all develop here and there - I just want to hint at the fact that developing an expertise in a certain field will not only help you, but others as well.

For example in Nybelmar we don't have key developers around regularly (like Smith and Coren), mostly Miraran is around who resides in the Drifiting Woods area. So it's difficult to recommend to someone to do something in Nybelmar if it is so hard to get to developers. Eventually that could make everyone unhappy. Aeruillin is also pretty much not covered, so you'll have to try to contact Artemis, Eléyr, but if developers aren't regularly present that can cause dilemmas (see e.g. the Mad Dancing Fairies thread in the Bestiary).

But yeah, you've done some Santharian people, Azhira, delve into northern Santharian history with the Witchking's Night and perhaps now make something in the southern part of Northern Santharia. So you have already a good base there I'd say. And we could always need more on gnomes for example! :D

I just realized something that I might add. Technically all my entries so far have been tied in with my interest in religion, however indirectly. Cults of Mari and this are more obvious, but the dove and Trinity were both mentioned in the Eyasha (my personal favorite Goddess) entry as her holy emblems, so I s'pose I do have that as one of my primary interests. I can't really justify magical interests being connected to religion, but I guess I like both. I do have more ideas that I can develop into the Murmillions aside from their cults though, so they will very likely be my more permanent niche.

Eléyr, if you are interested in religions then there is surely something  you can do.

There is more than one expert on Aeruillin and if there should be a problem - Artemis has answered to every e-mail as far as I remember.

Artimidor, please do say more clearly, that you prefer that people work on Sarvonia than on Aeruillin or elsewhere (if it is the case)  and do not purport that there is nobody to overlook a possible submission.

I (personally) prefer that people work in Sarvonia, simply because there's more that people can connect their ideas with and there are more people who know these areas and can help out. So that's an indirect consequence.

Would there be several active Aeruillin or Nybelmar developers it would be much easier to say: Go, and develop this and that, no problem.

Actually I am around :D

I've been checking the boards pretty much every day for a quite a while now (even if I'm not logged in all the time). So as soon as I see something that I can comment on I will ;)

I'm not sure about me coming up with stuff yet, I still have ideas and I didn't forget what I was supposed to do a long time ago (uhm, like the apparitions overview *blushes*), I just need time... :(

Of course, there aren't going to be several active Aeruillin developers if everyone always hears that Aeruillin is more or less off limits ;)

I actually won't be writing these entries, mostly because I just had a ton of ideas for the cults last night, and I don't want two rather large projects going on at the same time (this ones seven entries, the M.C.'s more). So I'm just gonna finish up my people entry than move on to the cults. If anyone else wants to write these beasts, I'm not going to. Sorry!

Files have been replaced again, but the question remains how long this will last. SMF support will have a look at the security problem.

It has been hacked. The third time in 3 days. I need to replace the changed files again (won't happen before evening) - and then see what the SMF support recommends as a strategy.

Arti, could you maybe take a look at the RPG board? I got a message from my anti-virus program and now I can't access the column on the right with the list of current threads and the shoutbox. Thankies :)
