Poked my head into the language section again and came out dazed and confused. :D Unfortunatly, nee a translation for Thar's Tethinrhim tattoos.

So far only need:

Ceremony (Or some similar word) Of Naming

We don't have name, title, ceremony, party, festival, event, or anythign I can go off of. And as of yet I don't know how to bs new words correctly and come out with an acceptable new one, so I need help. noidea

Hello there, Drú!

Alright then, down to business. You need to know how to say "Ceremony of Naming," yes? Well, let's begin by establishing what we have to work with.

methór (m.) "name, title"
methorán (v.tr.) "to name, to bestow a title"

...And that's it as far as I can see. So what we need now is a word for "ceremony."

arethás (f.) "ceremony, rite, ritual"

That should do. So then we can translate "Ceremony of Naming" as follows:

Arethás Methoriás (lit. "Ceremony of-Names")

Méthor'Arethás (lit. "Naming-Ceremony" or "Name-Ceremony")

Whichever option suits your tastes. thumbup

In my defense, none of those words are uploaded. At least there not in the tharian->Styrash dictionary that i'm looking at.  Is it jsut my browser cash or is it somethign else... *feels confused*

@Drú: Well, the new vocabulary stuff isn't added regularly to the Styrásh dictionary. But maybe we should go through the thread again more sooner than later.
