Ola everybody,

For a moment relaxing from rebuilding my soon to be new student room, I was suggesting a particular youtube movie to a colleague of mine. As I'm sure everybody here is/should be familiar with the phenomenon YouTube, I hope you will share some of your favourites with the rest of the community. I hope this will turn out a little like the "what's playing on yout stereo/soundcard now" at the RPG forum, but we'll see. Anyway, here's mine. It's a Russian bayan (Russian accordion) player, who plays a classical piece. The guy has a phenomenal technique and is a great musician as well. I hope the (classical) music lovers like it, and if not, well, let's hear a suggestion (does not have to be music!!!)

I agree with Simon at the beginning.. this week was Alex singing as Christina.. she needs her own material in order to shine.. otherwise she just sounds like a copycat.

But, she does have the voice to do it.

Edit:  Just saw the second vid.  Wow.  If band was that HOT when I was in school, I would have taken playing the triangle much more seriously.  Wow.

Austrian comparison here. This guy won with a self-composed thingy, even though the lyrics are a bit blah, I guess overall he did pretty well. :)

Note that he won that contest, yet didn't persue a career as a pop singer later on. He now does musicals and stuff. The girl who ranked second however is a big pop star now, though she focusses on German songs, which is enough to become rich and famous nevertheless.
