Something I'd like to suggest is to deepen the colour of the wine in the goblet. It seems too bright a red, somehow. Maybe just a bit more purple?

Now Alysse , you don't really think it is wine in that goblet do you?

In fact there is a symbolic reason why the goblet is designed the way it is. It represents Drakus's favorite source of "wine".

I don't think he's messing.

Nitpicks
-The texture on the sleeves makes them seem a little too rough woven. Perhaps lightening the effect there might help?

-Suggested fix for the goblet: move the goblet up between the tips of the fingers, make it look like he's toying with it. It might just push that whole "I could order your death while having tea" effect he's got.

-As before, the lower part of the robe is flat. It needs something to suggest that there are legs in there.

Bonus Points
-Carving on the head of the chair and on the from of the arms is awesome. I like the detail.

-He looks evil and I don't throw the word around casually. I would put him up there with Hannibal Lecter for villany just based on appearance. He manages the sort of casual "disregard for everything" look that bad villains aspire to one day grasp at. His clothing doesn't look evil, but sort of suggests it, pokes around the edges as it were. The effect is quite awesome. The whole "Evil Overlord on his Evil Throne (of Doom)" is subtle here. I like it. The only thing that could make him seem more nonchalant is if he was sort of reclining over one of the arms, but I doubt that would do him justice. Good job Seeker. Truly awesome.

Okay, I looked at the entry. How repulsive!

But did he actually bother with a cup? I didn't really get that impression...And it would have to be very fresh or it would clot and darken quickly, so maybe you should have it steaming ever so slightly? (thinks back to hunting experiences in draining blood from freshly killed moose carcass)

I have to agree, with Valan, the expression, or perhaps lack of it, is very well done.

You are right. He normally wouldn't use a cup, but every once in a while he likes to sit back and drink it down civilized.

Here are the changes to reflect Valans comments. I made subtle changes to the cup. More obvious changes to the pants, etc. I also put an extremely subtle hint of steam.

also I added a solo shot of the goblet in case it is useful.

It looks solid seeker. It gave me a little bit of a hard time trying to figure out what you'd done. The changes are so subtle it's hard to notice them directly without doing a bit by bit comparison between versions. It's a nice effect. Congratulations, I have nothing but praise now! grin

Lovely pic. Though, I have one complaint. The blood dripping down from his mouth. Considering he is drinking from a cup and not from a fresh kill, it seems a bit cheesy, stereotypical if you will. I mean, yes, after about my 10th beer, I drink like that too... but not my blood kills. But, this is only my personal opinion. I know why you did it, to convey that he is drinking blood and is a monster. But still....

Otherwise, quality is wonderful, as can be expected in a Seeker original. Looks good.

Perhaps a bloody "mustache", then? Just rim his upper lip with blood? If you can do that without just making him look like he doesn't know how to apply lipstick properly...

Hehe We could add a tag line "Got Blood" . (Reference to a Got Milk promotion for those of you who do not get that advertisement in your countries.)

Actually I put the blood drip because of this line in the entry. " As such, most of his portrayals have red as poignant motifs, some even choosing to show droplets trickling from his lips."
