I love this idea. I am a single mom. I love to make sculpture and to mess around with art. I can't wait to explore this place. I want to create new animals,plants, maybe a village. I'd like to design a small island.  I love nature. I love the wind. I'd love to be able to fly.

Hello, Katherine!


I am delighted to officially welcome you into Santharia.  Look around, take your time, explore a little.  There's plenty to see and do here.  We generally recommend that newbies start with an animal or plant, since those are relatively straightforward and let you "get your feet wet" so to speak, without being too overwhelming at first.  (This is not a hard and fast rule, just a guideline.)  The amount of research required for a plant or animal is relatively simple--when you start getting into more in-depth things, it can get a little complicated.

Most of your questions are probably answered in the newbie forum "Help, I'm A Newbie!" but if there's anything you can't find the answer for, go ahead and ask, we like helping people here.

Glad to have met you, and I hope you enjoy yourself here!

Welcome Katherine,

This sounds like the place for you.  Not only will you find an excellent creative outlet, but you will find friendly helpful "people"  here.  Well.... not everyone around here is a person.  For example watch out for the big, green, handsomely challenged, er um thing lurking around here.  Don't eat his cookies I swear they are filled with some sort of Orcen magic.


And you are going to have to tell us a little bit more about yourself.  What are hopes dreams ... and fears.  *Seeker has a slightly evil grin*
And if you come across any useful evil spells or magic, please let me know.  Especially if you find any magic to rid me of these cursed tattoos.  ;)

Welcome to our wonderful world!  My daughter's name is Katherine in RL (Katryna Joyeuse here in Santharia) - she's currently a mascot, but will eventually be a researcher / writer for the Dream as well.  Unfortunately my sister Alysse got a leg up on me in terms of rearing the next generation of Dreamers: her boys are several years ahead and already eying the pages' spots at the Compendium.....   

Have a cookie, quick, while there are still some left.   If you need some herbicide, groshmite repellent, a new Ey string for your lute, or anything else, come see me - I seem to be filing in for the Compendium Chatelaine much of the time here.  Hugs and welcome again!
