Name: The Kau

Overview: Found only in the desert lands of Southern Sarvonia, the Kau wanders through the sandy plains without a single care in the world. Leaving heavy footprints in its wake, the Kau bustles to and fro, digging holes and running through the dust in search of something edible. The Kau is simple in every sense of the word. They trek through the sand in search of food, and often lose themselves along the way. They are extremely cowardly creatures, yet they will stay rooted to the spot of they should ever feel threatened.

Appearance:
A Kau looks very much like an overgrown dog, only its body is a little more rounded than a canine’s. Extremely short fur the colour of Viperene Sand covers the animal’s entire body except for its left ear, which is a darker Cinnabrown on males and Urmarillion on females.

The body of a Kau is very rounded and plump with thick, stubby legs. A small head sits atop a smaller neck, with rounded little ears on either side. Peering ahead with a dazed stare are two Charcoal coloured eyes, occasionally blinking with slowly drawn movements. Its snout is widely set though it is short, looking slightly odd on the Kau’s face. Hidden inside are three rows of extremely sharp, extremely small teeth which are used for tearing through whatever oddities it happens to find hidden under the sand.

The Kau’s thickly set body is heavy for such a small animal, weighing between four and five Pygges. It moves with slow, stomping actions whilst its short tail flicks about the back of its legs.
