Hi. I have dug up a total of 28 flora for my mountain entry. I would like to know if this is too much. The worst part is that there is probably a lot more, because I skimmed some of the sections. So, is this too much? Good amount? Should I go back and find the other flora? I just want to make sure.

Do i even need to say anything regarding my opinion here? :P

But for a places entry, you need the -important- ones. The Flora and Fauna sections are not lists of everything that may or may not grow there, its an overview of local interesting or otherwise important plants, and in no way actually complete.

But how exactly do you define important for Fauna? I see how you would with plants, but not so much with the latter.

Eldor,

What I do is simply name a three to four major plants with a small description of where they grow. Then, mention a few more in a list type form. I had the same problem once with my Themed'lon entry. There are many Northern flora and I simply gave small descriptions of each. If there are alot of each flora and fauna, just select a few of the important or unique ones, as Mira suggested.

See my Themed'lon for an example. It took me awhile to get it right and honestly, I think flora/fauna sections are difficult to write well. Just get some ideas down and revise it.

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

Or select ones that you can think of a funny use/anecdote for, or that you can make into a cool descriptive bit.  You do want to entertain your reader after all :).
