Hello! wave I have been wanting to do some stuff with Brownies for a while now, and I've finally narrowed my interest. grin

What I propose is not a rewrite of the tribe entry. I am only a lowly Apprentice after all. ;) What I do wish to do is to create 'Guilds' to add to the entry, or maybe even just have it as a separate entry. Rookie has given the okay for this little project, and I already have some stuff mapped out. Here is what I have:

The Beadmakers: In charge of making beads.

The Chefs: In charge of all things related to the culinary arts.

Fishers: In charge of catching fish along the river near Milkengrad.

Gardeners: In charge of tending to the gardens of the houses that they are loyal to. Also in charge of growing some food.

Healers: In charge of tending to the hurt and sick of mainly the Brownies. They may also be called upon to help out with the humans.

Jewel-crafters: In charge of creating jewelery from imporeted gems and metals.

Metalworkers: In charge of creating weapons and other items of convenience with metal.

Pirates: A large group of Brownies that have taken to the rivers, riding upon their dominoore mounts to rob and harass anyone riding in a boat. Some also go into other cities to steal. These Brownies make excellent thieves.

Rat Catchers: In charge of ridding the home of the Helcrani of vermin. They use a lot of potent poisons.

That's all I have mapped out so far. I hope I can get permission to move forward with this project. These guilds are not by any meens clans. They are groups where Brownies may go to learn these crafts. Not all Brownies choose to join them. No Brownie is forced to. If I don't get the okay for this, I can always make entries to build around it until I am able to move forward. I am persistent and really would like to do this. Big Grin

If Rooks gave her blessings, then you won't anyone to object! She's one of the Brownie Masters so you're good to go if you ask me.  thumbup Sounds like fun!

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

Yay! That makes me very happy. I'd like to go ahead as long as no one has any objections. grin

Yep, Mr Eldor has my approval for this - I'd really like to see the Milken getting some culture that's unique to them, rather than just  looking after the Helcrani's houses and getting everything from them.  In such a bustling, lively port that's so full of opportunities, why are they confined to the Helcrani's basements?   Eldor has some excellent ideas for this too.

I reckon it'd probably be easier to do it as a separate entry, like the one Irid did on the Vale Brownie Clans.  Inserting it into the main entry would only cause confusion  I think as some would be up to date and some wouldn't.
