Hi I’m new to the forums, as soon as a signed up I had a skiing holiday. I want to develop a place first and not something that’s same old, maybe some kind of natural phenomenon or maybe I just had this idea a geyser. I don’t really want to do bigger development, I prefer the smaller bits. also is there a styrast Dictionary or for that matter any other language.

Welcome Hrud.

There are many many places all across this great world of ours to be developed yet.  There are hot springs, Odenbels, far in the noth that are used by farmers to crow crops in a climate that would not natrurally be conducive to agriculture.  If that is not to your liking, there is a waterfall coming from one of these odenbels that freezes into crystal like ice rain onto a temple, and the falls is called Ertimer's Tears.

If you are ready to do a little research in this, they are a few possibilities. :D

Please, avail yourself of refreshments. There are Dochnuts, Golden Rain bread with a variety of rare cheeses, Honey Slyggs (mmm!), Bittersweet fruit and even Truphulls, if they are to your taste. I should take a flaggon of Dwarven ale before it all goes, if I were you! Just keep your thieving mitts off the cookies. They're all mine!

Geysers, eh? As my esteemed colleague Altario has already said, we have hot springs way up in the frozen North and I'm sure a hot geyser would fit in there most admirably, particularly if there is something unique about it. Perhaps it erupts so regularly that it can be used to tell the time? Or mayhaps it erupts only very rarely, once a year or once every hundred years, and folk come from far and wide to admire the show? The hot water could shoot hundreds of peds into the air only to freeze and fall to the ground as a shimmering ice powder which reflects the rays of the Injera in a dazzling multi-hued display?

Hang on, I'm nearly writing the entry for you here! Kick off your shoes and jump into the Compendium, Hrud, there's bound to be something that takes your eye!

Hello Hrud!

A pleasure to meet you! It sounds like you've got a great start with your geyser idea! As the two gentlemen ::cough:: above me have stated, the north would be a great place for your geyser. I look forward to reading what you come up with.

As for languages: when you first enter the site, there's a navigation bar to your left. In order to get to the languages section, you need to swap the menus (Just click the "Swap Menus" bar under the icons). between the bow & arrow icon and the books icon is an icon that looks like this. If you click on that icon, you'll get a list of languages. Styrásh is the first listed.

For your convenience:
Styrásh Principles
Dict. Styrásh-Tharian
Dict. Tharian-Styrásh

Tharian is our common tongue (British English). You will also find Dwarvish (Thergerim), Orcish (Kh'omchr'om), and others here. If there's a word you can't find in the dictionary that you think Santharia should have, you can make one up. Just remember to post the new word in the languages forum.

Sorry I have'nt been able to do anything computer problems. thank you tharoc and altario for ideas withthe geysers(and the refreshments) :) they has been very helpful. i know the is the is hot springs in the Celeste Mountains is there any where else?. thanks all.

Isthmus of Doom has geysers, though I haven't yet put anything to paper.  We could discuss ideas there.

It has been hacked. The third time in 3 days. I need to replace the changed files again (won't happen before evening) - and then see what the SMF support recommends as a strategy.
