I know I've only just returned, so I'm not so happy to be going again, but alas, a pilgrimage awaits! At the beginning of May I will be traveling from Utrecht (Netherlands) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) on foot and it will take me..a long time.

Depending on money, health and cultural delights will be an estimated 3.5 to 4.5 months :)

So until I get back, happy dreaming, and wish me luck!  :D I won't frequent the boards much anymore before I go since I have still have a lot of preparations due, but I'll give a final wave before I'm off ^_^

That's a goal!

Do you try to go the directest way?

I'm sure you have a notebook and a pencil with you, maybe even a paint-box...

Good luck, Shayan! May you meet many interesting characters to draw portraits of.

What a tease.

You come in, provide a few pictures then leave again.

I feel unsatisfied.

If I had a dime for every time one of my wives or GFs said that... buck

Anyway, Good luck to you Shayan.  Enjoy your trip, it sounds like a once in a lifetime event.  Take in everything to can see, feel, hear and taste  and do so through the prism of Santharia, for you are one of us now.  And when you return, tell us your tale through pictures. :)

Wow, that sounds really quite like an adventure you're planning, Shayan! 3.5 to 4.5 months is quite a bit of time to walk, but I guess the purpose of it is also to get to know yourself a bit better in the process... Taking your goal into account I assume it is intentionally chosen, so: Do you see it as a pilgrimage to strengthen your faith, to find your faith, or to just try out what it's all about?

Mostly spirituality and religion, but also art & the future heh. I'm a little bit unsatisfied with my life but I don't really know what I want with it either.

further more: seeing what my limits are and either crossing and moving, or respecting them :)

Well I've set my first few baby steps on the road to a distant place in Spain.  I'll post the link to my probably uneventful blog once I write an entry ;) Just in case someone is interested :D   (I'm still in my own country, licking the wounds caused by a shoemaker who doesn't know much about his job apparently XD but I'll live!)

Well, as for the future: You have a bright future as artist in Santharia of course...  cool

And yeah, do post your link so that we can follow your progress - as you can see there are a bunch of obstacles that need to be overcome to get where you should be... ;) But some say it's all in the journey itself, so...

Being a religious guy myself, I wish you all the luck on your spiritual journey.  Sounds like quite an adventure that your poor feet will not quickly forgive.  And yes I would also be interested to see your blog computer

Good luck! clap2

Not a religious person personally, but I definitely understand challenging yourself physically and/or mentally. I hope you find more than you set out to, be it God, yourself or just an nice hotel grin

Have a fulfilling journey, and I would love to see your blog too. As Seeker said,  computer

And draw lots of nice sketches for Santh!

Hey Guys :D

Well I've been on the road for quite some time now, and tomorrow I will leave the great Morvan Forest region in the center of France and continue on to Le Puy-en-Velay.

I haven't been able to gather the time and energie to write a blog, sadly, but I have gathered a few ideas here and there for Santharia.

Better keep my chin up, I'm not even half way!

Hope you guys are well!

Well if you stopped wlaking across the continent maybe you would have the time and energy to write a blog.  But then I guess you would have nothing to blog about.   :D

Have a great time.
