Altario (or others with ideas), I need clarification:

The Evanthorhim elves occupy the Contamar Forest at the northern tip of Iol. The Blain Woods south of there are the home of the Filmainrim, I assume? What possible issues would the elves and the Filmainrim have had over the course of history?

I am going to suggest hostilities over time because the Evanthorhim fled north long ago and were eventually pushed farther and farther northwards to Contamar due to territory disputes. Being the only elves in a region of humans, I would think some racist (or magic) issues were at work. That explains such a small area for the elves.

What could also have happened is the elves were rounded up and used as slaves over the years before they broke away and built a territory for themselves in Contamar. I am trying to explain how a single elven tribe came to occupy an area so far north surrounded by humans...

Another option is that they are an ancient tribe banished from the south.  As they sailed up the Western coast of sarvonia looking for a new home,. the first habitable land they came to was the IOL peninsula (having passed the Penisula of Krull, Peninsula of Aden and Caael'heroth all uninhabitable by elven standards)

Filmainrim are nowhere near there.  No one is there as far as I've ever been able to figure out.

There have been many threads about this.  No one there, which is why I invented the Antislar to fill some of it.  The maps have the ICe Tribes owning it, but no Ice Tribes there.  Dek, Garret among others have floated ideas, but no one has claimed anything in concrete form.
