I posted this on my Facebook page last week, but just in case you missed it....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD_xoG3jR0k

I see this as either a 'eve of the battle' type dance, or maybe a victory dance. I'm thinking Elves as the wooden staves (and the noises they make) just screamed Elves to me.

If anyone wants to describe this, feel free.

Having recently developed a magical moving picture recording device the ever elusive Tharoc captures the image of warehouse elves performing a dark dance using long poles and incessent stomping to the cheers of a strange crowd possibly in a theatre in New Santhala.  This wonderful treasure is provided in a book called "Face" apparantly authored by Tharoc.

Methinks we don't have an entry for a dance at all at the moment... We also don't have many an entry that has made dances a very prominent, dominant concept of a culture, though there are the occasional mentions. So this part could definitely be elaborated better, be it for a human, elven or orcen tribe. Though its difficult to describe something like the the Stomp guys do - dances like that definitely have to be seen :)

I agree that dances need to be introduced more, especially into tribal entries. They would play a very significant part in any culture, methinks.
I don't think this particular dance would suit the orcs, however. The sounds aren't deep enough and I don't see them using staves. Orcs tend to use drums for their music. Perhaps their version of this would be banging kle'vaar's on shields, along with stomping.

It was either Azzy or Alysse and myself had a brief conversation a while back about how the orcen language is very visual, incorporating lots of gestures etc. This led us to decide that watching an orc tell a story/sing a song is like watching a dance. Yet another idea that joins the queue!

The Antislar will be more fun loving than the Ice Tribes, and will have more dances.  But, I don't believe this suits them.  Too primitive than what I was thinking.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
