While travelling through Vardynn I came across a boy playing tri-bones game.  He reminded me of another Antislar boy I met while travelling up North.  I had some time so I decided to paint the Antislar boy I remembered.

Again looks very cool, Seeker! The game pieces there, the pouch, the winterly landscape peeking through the opening in the background, the way the boy holds that piece very well done!

Only the boy himself could use a bit of a touch-up as the face lacks some colour/shadows (though it might be intentionally so for an Antislar?), also the hair could also be more detailed. Maybe he also looks a bit too dreamy, as if he's not too involved in the game, though, so maybe he could look down instead to ponder his next move. But again, these aren't major problems - I'm really looking forward to have a Santharian game illustrated, doesn't happen very often among all those beasts and plants etc.

Aura +1, Seeker! Very original, very unique!

yep yep, I need to work more on that face. I just reached a point where I had enough and decided to put it out for comment as I thought about my next picture.

Just thought I would do something different with this one.  I certainly don't expect this picture to be a crowd pleaser, we will see about the next one, i am heading back to the Bestiary to check out a Demon.  evil

What a cute kid! I like the confident pose. That makes two tribe entry pics for Altario...he's missing out!

Another demon pic has me VERY intrigued.  :D

I like the look of this one.  Some pictures are just pretty images, while others suggest a intriguing tale--this is one of the latter.

My only nitpick would be that he doesn't actually look like a "boy"--the proportions of his face are more adult.  Bigger eyes and more softness or roundness to the face might make the difference?   He's got rather strong features for a child.

I look forwards to seeing where you go with this.  Something about it just appeals to me.

I have to agree with Alysse. That chin is too far from his mouth. It should be higher up, closer to his mouth. I'd say shortened by half. His nasolabial lines are also far too pronounced. They should be a lot more subtle.

I second Alysse's comments about the eyes needing to be a bit larger.

Oh Alysse!  *laughs and hugs her* Your children are young still, right? ;)

I didn't see him as too adult looking for a 'boy'... look, my 'boy' is already 27 and so for me a, say, 21 old young man is a boy too ! ;)

I don't think, that the features as such are wrong, eyes too small or chin too big - there are people who look like this! Don't try to level this guy out so that he looks `pretty', he has his own charm as he is.

A bit more work on him doesn't hurt though, as I told Seeker already. But he was just tired of looking at him, so give him a rest :)

Very cool, Seeker. :D

As with Art, I think the face needs some gentle detailing, but the extras around it, and the tri-bones look great.    Why would this not be a crowd pleaser?  All your works seem to garner interest.  You bring the world to life.  I, for one, appreciate it greatly that you do not focus in one area, and you create pics from every corner of our world.  It means a a great deal to us non-artists.

Well I found some inspiration to tackle the face and hair again.  I think it is at least improved.  Comments welcome.

The face was definitely improved compared to the first version, very good! The pieces, bag, tent and background all were fine before, so no trouble there. So for me, the picture doesn't really need any further update - could be used just the way it is now!  thumbup - Very nice job, Seeker!

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
