What is general dwarven etiquette? For example how does a dwarf greet its elders? What is a respectful distance? How would you greet a brother? How would you greet someone below you in status? How much a role does social status play in Thergerim culture?

There is a lot already onsite if you read up on the various clan entries.  However, there are not a lot of day-to-day basic formulations, which I shall try to research for your edification in the next week or so.     I will say that although there is great respect for elders and wisdom, the dwarven society is very egalitarian - cooks are as highly held as teachers, smiths as leaders, etc.   The level of skill and craftsmanship is more important to the Thergerim than the specific craft.  GTG - work in half-an-hour!

Let's give some answers just for your specific questions, Santhos:  I shall leave the actual translations as an exercise for you, or for me to complete later, as I'm assuming you would need this more for roleplay rather than scholastic research :)

Some general greetings:  Whether elder or younger, upper or lower, uses either, is, again, not highly important.  Generally the one to speak first is considered more respectful, so that does tend to be the more deferential role, or done by the one seeking attention/favour.

"Trum-Baroll with thee," "And thee", "And thine"  (a sort of generic 'how are you', 'God be with you', 'hello', or 'goodbye')

"Evens/Eve/Evenings be blest."  "Blesteve!"  "And thine."  (equivalent to our Terran 'Good day')

"Day find you slumbering!" "A good day-rest!"  "Soft pillows!"  "A solid daysleep!" are all wishes to rest well, like our 'Good night!' or 'sleep tight!'

"Work well," "Solid rock and safe tunnels," "Sound ground", and similar terms are employed when seeing someone depart for a workday.

"May your *** prosper," is often used to craftsmen, with the appropriate tool substituted.  The traditional version is of course, 'May your pick prosper', but nowadays it might be 'hammer', 'axe', 'knives' (for a cook), 'gold' (for a merchant), 'scrolls' (for a teacher),  and so on.   This has far too often given rise to plenty of smutty variants among the younger dwarves, which the older ones pretend to not hear until they grow out of it.

Siblings, children, and spouses may be greeted or farewelled with more specific, casual,  and affectionate terms:
"Healthy halls, brother!" "Hoy, husband mine!"  "Trum-Baroll holds thee, sis'ling!"  'Heyla, sweet'un..."  "Blest rest, m' honeycake?" and so on.   While these terms are technically more endearments than greetings,  such pet names are common among close-knit family and clan relationships.

Thank you very much. I'll do my best when it comes to translating (The translations that I make probably wont be very well done) but I will definitely use these on the RP side. Thanks again.
