I heard rumours that a group of compendiumists were gathering in Vardynn for some much needed research. So naturally I had to join in.   Such a beautiful location.  Perfect atmosphere for inward thought  and collaborating with colleagues.

Aerelian Lake-  Which of the lakes do you think this fits best?

I think I was speechless for a full ten minutes after seeing this gorgeous piece! Oh, Seeker, it's lovely! The brilliance of the spring sky, the puffs of clouds, and the whole celestial scene reflected in the calm and tranquil lake waters. And are those cerubells growing along the banks? It's wonderful! You are truly gifted; you have taken words and transformed them into a beautiful visual display. I'm awed, Seeker!

And I don't want to taint guesses with my own speculations, but I will say the picture is quite a gem!

Thank you, Seeker! I am always amazed at your remarkable talents.  heart

So richly saturated, beautifully balanced, and tranquil....I think I may need to steal this for my new screen saver....

Am I seeing things, or is there a mocking fat-cheeked wind spirit in the central cloud, puffing breezes towards the tower?  :)

I don't know enough to say which lake the picture should represent, but it does look very nice.   thumbup

 clap clap2 clap

Breathtaking picture, no doubt about that, Seeker! Aura +1 for this marvelous display of serenity, rich in colours, clear water and beautiful vegetation. A wonderful surprise for Rayne and the Vardýnn project, where we now have a great landmark picture! Images of Santharian landmarks are of course are fantastic, especially in combination with detailed maps, so that we really get into what Santharians call their home! Can't get enough of those, especially not of such beautiful ones! grin Would indeed make a great wallpaper - but I don't know how large the original version is. But could be converted to a great one for sure.

Small issue: The lines of the building to the right don't look exactly straight, so that maybe could be fixed a wee bit, but that's about all there is to "complain" about.

Oh, and I see that wind spirit as well, here:

Actually the guy in the picture looks sleepier with his eye halfway closed... lol

Hey guys thanks for those wonderful and detailed compliments and critiques.  The comments really keep me going.   I also loved how it turned out.  Each time I draw I am trying to learn something new and get better.  Will fix that building, no problem.

And yep Rayne those are cerubell flowers.  I wasn't going to put them in but I figured you would appreciate that little touch.

And yes how did that Wind Spirit sneak into my picture.  It must have been floating by while I was painting. Tricksy spirit just wanted to get captured on canvas.

Oh and by the way Art.  The original is quite large.  Just let me know what size is suitable for a screensaver.

Seeker, you are thoughtful in the most artistic of ways! I adore them. Perhaps this picture or parts of it might be added to the Cerubell entry? They are so perfectly represented!

Thank you, again, Seeker!  heart You are fantastic!

Naturally, an amazing picture Seeker. I'm usually not one for 'pleasant' pictures, preferring something dark and gritty to appease my creative darkside, but this is amazing. It looks far better than the real scenery around here. It also reminds me of what I've missed in my absence.  cry

And to me the wind spirit looks like a hamster... rolleyes

Next weekend is update time already, so let's see if we can can conclude this one...

Seeker, maybe you can straighten some uneven lines at the building to the left and then send me a version of the picture with, say, a maximum of 1680 pixels width (or otherwise as large as you have it). The maximum wallpaper sizes we have on the site are still 1024x768, which nowadays seems a bit outdated, as most people have already way larger screens... Geez, how time flies! Anyway, we can't cover all shapes and sizes for all wallpapers, but at least a few with new ones we put up, so send me what you've got and I'll see to make them into wallpapers for a couple of screen resolutions!

P.S. Using part of the picture for the cerubell entry of course is also a nice bonus :) Will be done as well!

Many thanks - looks wonderful in the large version as well, even more so actually! Looks very real, with a lot of depth and very vivid colours, really a picture to dream away!  thumbup

Glad you like it.  I am currently working on another ambitious picture.  A view of Milkengrad.   shocked

Wow... A view on Milkengrad sounds really ambitious, Seeker - but great to hear! grin I love it when large cities or landscapes (like Ciosa, the Ria, Elving, Osthemangar, Aerelian lakes etc.) get a face and really give you an idea of the epic scope of these places! Everything that adds to that is very welcome! thumbup

@Rayne: Back to Seeker's original question before you got speechless... Which one of the lakes should we say that the picture represents? Rhélean is said to be the most beautiful, and the picture leaves nothing to be desired, but this lake seems larger and isn't "surrounded" by Rhélean methinks. So: Any suggestions in this regard? Should we go for Aelignós?
