During my year or so long hiatus, I am aware that there were several sightings of me across Sarvonia. These are most likely true. However, I am also aware that there are rumors that say for several months I was at sighted at this establishment, oblivious to anyone urging me to return to the Compendium. I would like to say that this is not true I was not oblivious I was never at the establishment, and would like to ask everyone to stop  threatening to alert my father of how I am spending his money.
                        With love,

The Red Rose Bordello

Overview
Situated amidst the large city of New-Santhala, the Red Rose Brodello is a large manorlike building catering to a vast clientele. From simple craftsman who finish a well paying project to high class nobles, the Red Rose Bordello leaves its doors open and promises that one’s time there will be nothing but enjoyable and discreet.

Location of the Building
In the hustle and bustle of the massive city of New Santhala, it is easy to slip away from the normal routine of things. A good hooded cloak can allow even the most distinguished man to slip away from his manor and take a walk. Why, if he chose to, he could make his way to Cherring Cross, walk down the alley between the baker and the butcher, and find himself in the courtyard of the Red Rose Bordello. He could even see the flowing Thaehelvil River behind the building, but of course, his eyes would likely not be on the river.

Function of the Building
The Red Rose Bordello offers the finest company in all of Sarvonia. Its courtesans are not mere street rats, with watery eyes and jaded souls, who are seeking for a copper piece to buy a crust of bread. The ladies of the bordello are trained in the etiquette and follow every social protocol one could find at the most brilliant balls. Each of the courtesans goes by the title Lady, and it is considered highly inappropriate to not address them by this title, for the Red Rose Bordello is their estate, and one must always address the lady of the manor with her proper title.

For those not immediately wishing for company, the bottom floor offers other diversions. They can take a seat at the bar or one of the tables with silk tablecloths. A servant will arrival immediately, asking if they wish for a meal of roasted goat and mashed tuberroots, or perhaps a tankard of sweet mead. The bar is always open for those looking for liquid courage, and offers a variety of drinks sure to delight any connoisseur. Bottles of inexpensive wine line the bottom shelves, while the top is dominated by rare R’unorian Brandy and even Vhodka.

The head of the Red Rose is given the title Madame, and it is considered inappropriate to not address her using her title. The Madame is always a former courtesan, and along with knowing standard etiquette and procedures, she must also be able to read and write to handle the running of the Bordello. The Madame is assisted by one or two assistants, who, along with their regular duties, help her with the day to day running of the establishment. From these assistants, the Madame names her successor, who shall take over after the Madame has passed away. Along with running the Red Rose, the Madame is also in charge of the Thorns.

The job of the ladies can be quiet dangerous. The patrons of the establishment may grow to bold with the drinks from the bar, or may try to be too friendly with the ladies without the proper payment. To stop this, the Thorns of the Red Rose were created. They are the guards of the Red Rose, ensuring that the courtesans are safe from their clients, and stop any event that would disturb the other clients’ time at the Rose. All drunken brawls are stopped immediately by these men, and it is ill advised to ask a courtesan to scream ‘help’ behind closed doors, lest said door be kicked in by these men. Their fervent loyalty to the Red Rose is because of their upbringing. They are children of the courtesans, as infanticide is banned by all Madams. Both male and female children are used as servants and maids, serving food and drink or cleaning rooms, but after reaching adolescence, they are broken up by gender. The girls are taught how to act as proper ladies, while the boys are sent to a different training regime to serve as guards for the Rose.

Description
During its founding days, the first Madame, Silvia Rose, wanted her bordello to be different then its counterparts, so began to gather money from a variety of sources. The names of her patrons are unknown, so whether the investments came from anonymous nobles or criminals is not known to us at the Compendium. However ill-gotten the funding Madame Silvia gathered, she managed to collect enough to have a large two story stone building built in New-Santhala.  The more elaborate insides were built at a later date as the Rose’s profits began to increase.

The courtyard of the Red Rose Bordello is approximately twenty five peds by another twenty five, with two wings of the bordello forming the sides, while the main building forms one end, leaving the fourth side open. The courtyard is made of smoothed stones to make walking easier on ones feet, with roses carved into the stone to keep with the name. There are several benches dotting the sides for clients and their ladies to sit, but because they are visible to those on the outside of the bordello, this is rarely done.
The bordello is two stories tall, with the bottom floor serving as the main room. This is where the bar assorted dining tables are located. The bar is staffed by the Thorns, and the shelves are stocked with a large variety of drinks. Silk tablecloths cover the tables, giving the patrons who choose a meal the sense of being a noble. Soft couches also line the walls, allowing the ladies and men to sit over a glass of wine before moving.

The second floor of the Rose is reserved for business only. It is filled with rooms of differing sizes, some nothing more than a simple bed and a door while others are entire suites. It is not unknown, although uncommon, for some openly promiscuous nobles to throw large parties in the suite, some going on for several days. This is a rare thing however, for ones absence will be noted amongst ones’ peers, and the sheer cost for room, ladies, and food and drink is more than many care to spend.

The east wing of the Red Rose is used to house the courtesans. The ladies of the Rose are not given much, two ladies usually share a room with a washing basin and a dresser for each. There is a small dining room where the ladies take their meals. Breakfast and lunch are the largest meals, as the ladies are expected to work most of the night. Their dinners are smaller fares as they must quickly finish their meals and be back in the main room. To ensure that the main room is never empty not all of the ladies are allowed to eat at the same time, they instead go in groups, allowing clients to always have company.

While the east wing of the bordello is used to house the ladies of the Rose, the west houses the Thorns. Their rooms are the same size, but instead house four to a room, allowing more room to be given for exercise and training. The training is not as martial as most people believe, as most of it is much like the ladies, where they are taught how to behave around nobles. Unlike the ladies’ however, rather than being taught to be charming, they are taught to hold their tongues and keep to themselves. However they are taught how to box, and the Thorns  that leave the bordello are known for being exceptional  at hand to hand company.

Ok, I've been summoned, so let's take a closer look here - Uri-Check ahead!

Overview
Situated amidst the large city of New-Santhala, the Red Rose Bordello is a large manorlike building catering to a vast clientele. From simple craftsmen who finish a well paying project to high class nobles, the Red Rose Bordello leaves its doors open and promises that one’s time there will be nothing but enjoyable and discreet.

(In general I would recommend to add a few more basic things here in the Overview, e.g. mentioning the founding date, the Thorns and e.g. the basic focus. It seems to me from what I read further down that this establishment is more something for the nobility, and that it lives by a certain code, even an inherent kind of morality as far as the children (=Thorns) are concerned. So it wouldn't be really something for the working class, even though you indicate this here. The problem is - I assume - that you cannot really have both - courtesans and street hookers for everyone. So I would adjust that more in this direction.)

Location of the Building
In the hustle and bustle of the massive city of New-Santhala, it is easy to slip away from the normal routine of things.

The Madame is assisted by one or two assistants, who, along with their regular duties, help her with the day to day running of the establishment. From these assistants, the Madame names her successor, who shall take over after the Madame has passed away (Or has retiredI assume... Or do they stay there until they turn 100 or so? :) ). Along with running the Red Rose, the Madame is also in charge of the Thorns.

The job of the ladies can be quite dangerous. The patrons of the establishment may grow too bold with the drinks from the bar, or may try to be too friendly with the ladies without the proper payment. Their fervent loyalty to the Red Rose is because of their upbringing. They are children of the courtesans, as infanticide is banned by all Madams. (I guess this needs to be elaborated a bit clearer. These children I assume are unwanted wants basically, children who were born due to contact with customers, right? Courtesans are not considered to have private lives outside their profession, have private lovers and families, right? This is not entirely clear here yet.) Both male and female children are used as servants and maids, serving food and drink or cleaning rooms, but after reaching adolescence, they are broken up by gender. The girls are taught how to act as proper ladies, while the boys are sent to a different training regime to serve as guards for the Rose.

Description.
During its founding days, the first Madame, Silvia Rose, wanted her bordello to be different than its counterparts, so she began to gather money from a variety of sources.

The courtyard is made of smoothed stones to make walking easier on one's feet, with roses carved into the stone to keep with the name. There are several benches dotting the sides for clients and their ladies to sit, but because they are visible to those on the outside of the bordello, this is rarely done.

The bordello is two stories tall, with the bottom floor serving as the main room. This is where the bar assorted dining tables (something's missing in this sentence) are located.

This is a rare thing however, for one's absence will be noted amongst ones’ peers, and the sheer cost for room, ladies, and food and drink is more than many care to spend.

(Well, you assume here that all nobles visit the bordello more or less in secrecy, while I wouldn't say that this has to be a general rule. There's the Santharian God of Lust, Love and Excess, Etherus, and there might be nobles, who don't know where to put all their money, and dedicate their life to Etherus, organizing parties even orgies in establishments like these. Such people would be commonly known as well, and if the establishment is more or less a respectful one - and this seems to be the case here - the better.

Additional note: Etherus would be seen more or less as patron of bordellos I assume, so he could be mentioned somewhere. E.g. by putting a statue in the entrance hall or something, maybe there might be even a chapel for the curtisans to be guided by him. Sounds maybe a bit strange, but it's different from Earthen practices, so why not give that idea a try to be more unique?)

(See, I'm also somewhat unsure here whether the courtesans are more professionals in the art of love or just serve a purpose and are more or less exploited. Well, there can be something from both in a way, but I'd recommend a certain standard at any rate. You also mention that Madame Silvia wanted her bordello to be different from others, so I think it also needs to be clearer in terms of the girls used. Can every girl willing to work in this profession also work in the Red Rose? Or is there a certain selection, which only the Red Rose offers? Are there special girls as well, e.g. from other continents, woth other complexions? Like sand sisters (Sor'Inyt) for example, more muscullar Serphelorians, etc. Would be interesting if the Red Rose stands out from all the other establishments by offering something special in this regard as well.)

Okeydokey, that's it for now! - An interesting new kind of entry, which we don't have in similar form yet on the site, so I appreciate the fresh idea :) Needs still a few clarifications here and there (see the things I pointed out), but the entry is well on it's way I'd say... Aura +1 for the fresh idea and getting it down on digital paper, Agran!
