Out of curiousity, what is the current state of these Green Giants?

I mean are they considered real or mythical, that sort of thing.

The Gorbas (being the goblins) are considered to be very real.
Jonael was doing some work on them when last we saw him here.

I don't think the Gorbas are goblins. Are they not a species of giant found in south-western Nybelmar? If memory serves, around the Zhunite plains?

Yeah, they are an entirely own species, and from what I can see they are supposed to be quite real. There's nothing that suggests otherwise on site, though even their entry is quite fragmentary as of yet.

Given the current work of Vesk and Ishmaelion with the trolls ... could the Gorba somehow be another tribe of trolls, or in some way be linked to them?

According to the entry they descend from Humans and Orcs.  There's no mention of troll ancestry in the entry.  Since the original creator of the entry isn't around anymore its probably best to just stick with what is on site as opposed to attempting to get it changed.

Also, the Gorba's live in Nybelmar which I don't believe Vesk and Ish have considered yet in their troll entries.  To get the Gorba's changed you'd probably have to talk to Coren or drag Decipher, Mira, or Smith back here to find out what the plans laid out for the region are.  If I remember correctly they were posted somewhere on the boards a while back and were quite through.

Gorbras are very untrollish despite their similar size.

Also, there are no trolls on Nybelmar or Aeruillin.

Well, it looks like trolls are out of the question here. Also, due to the pic we've used recently the description of the entry doesn't fit a 100% anymore, because the original black/white drawing had more resemblance to orcs than the new one. That's why the text was altered, mentioning their very different looks from tribe to tribe.

So there are strong human influences there. In general I think that Gorbas might have had giants as ancestors, who then died out or now have the status of "mythical" - this perhaps could be altered eventually in the Gorba entry if acceptable.

Files have been replaced again, but the question remains how long this will last. SMF support will have a look at the security problem.
