Hi, there seem to be various words that are double underlined and appear in blue ... these words then become links. I've noticed it in messages, some places in the hsout box and even in the 'Message Icon' Command when starting a new topic.

Does that possibly mean this forum has been hacked?

Also, when i was coming in here to mention about my busyness, I was asked to take time to answer a brief 30 second questionaire about santharia in order to win a gaming machine of some kind. Just thought you'd want to know.

Edit, when I checked this message again, I noticed that W I N and A N S W E R both become links (the blue and double underlining) and all the links are going to a slots site..

The site seems ok to me. You might have a virus/spyware on your PC Dek. I suggest a scan asap.

All fine here as well... Looks indeed as Azhira said that you might have some virus/spyware on your system, Dek... I'd give it a thorough check at any rate. You might try e.g. Malwarbytes (free version), which usually works very well!

It seems to have not worked. :(  I'm on my third scan. I've already removed a bunch of things that came up the other two times. But it seems to just keep finding more. This is no good.

Hmmm... Make sure to download the definition updates and run full scans. If you have Windows7 or XP you could also download Microsoft Security Essentials and give that a try - it's also free.

It appears that it was somehow tied in with Firefox.

I tried downloading that other software, and running that scan, but it had the same issues.

I then tried deleting browsing history and so forth in Firefox ... still the same issues.

In desperation I opened up Internet Explorer and I don't have those issues ... not a weird link thing anywhere ... so that might be what I need to do ... use internet explorer.  cry

Did you install a Firefox Add-on/Extension or something perchance, Dek? If so, check Tools-->AddOns --> Plugins. There make sure that Shockwave Flash is up to date. Or disable all these PlugIns to test if it has an effect. Also Tools-->AddOns --> Extensions has other stuff you might have added intentionally or not (some programs might install an extra ad toolbar or something). You can try deactivating those extensions as well. Or eventually try reinstalling.

I use Firefox exclusively and haven't seen this link issue.

Dek, your PC may be getting reinfected or the virus you have is too deep for malwarebytes to clean.
