1. The Age of Silence (unknown to 5500 bS)
There are only sparse records from this one and, as its name actually suggests, they are more like myths than actual historical records. What is important is that only the elves are still mentioning those times, for the other races being something more like illo tempore.
1.1 Beginnings
Elves
?-15000 b.S The Era of Harmony
The Kayr are possibly part of the Astyrhim and part of those elves later on becoming woodelves. Nothing is known about that age and the little that is, is not much more than myth.
15000 b.S.-12000 b.S. The Era of Bartering
The Kaýr start to form an own faction of the elves. They see the concept of Fá'áv'cál'âr as the wrong way to reinstall the Dream. In their eyes Coór has already sown his dark seeds and the elves should thus keep pure by following what they've learnt under the Tree of Life. They wander off into regions far away from Fá'áv'cál'âr, seeking their own way to the truth of the Dream – calling themselves Taeánrhim.
12000 b.S.-10000 b.S. The Era of the Anvil
The dream of Fá'áv'cál'âr has ended. The races scatter over the lands and some of the elves flee to the Taeánrhim. While elves in other regions suffer under the pressure of the other, short aged races, the Emerald Woods grow into a second elven realm outside the Thaelon and reach a similar glory as Fá'áv'cál'âr, though never striving for anything as impertinent as claiming to unite the races.
1.2. The Dark War
1.2a The Arrival of Menemronn. Following a savage war raging on the rest of the world (which can be identified with the War of the Chosen from a Sarvonian perspective), a dark and powerful wizard arrives in Nybelmar. He is credited with the creation of the eastern volcanic mountains known today as Ehebion, or Eferán’ypheró (in the elvish tongue). He is also supposed to have caused, by magical means, the separation of Nybelmar from a larger landmass. [Note: Up to the first arrival of Sarvonians, all the Nybelmarian nations assumed that Nybelmar was the only continent still standing in the world.]
1.2.b The Unholy Alliance. Menemronn manages to enslave various tribes (humans, elves and orcs alike) and starts to wage war against anyone that was still resisting him. Much of the Nybelmarian forests are burned to the ground and soon all the continent is threatened to fall under his will. A lot of beasts that still roam this continent were created by this dark wizard and, most of all, he created the brutal Chyrakisth, half elves and half orcs, to serve as his unholy soldiers.
1.2.c The Shadow War. The Taeánrhim elves manage to rally their forces and they forge a new alliance with the few remaining human and dwarven tribes. They take the war to Eferán’ypheró and defeat the dark wizard. Following this victory the tribes scatter across the eastern continent, trying to rebuild their homes.
- The shape of Nybelmar had changed terribly. Where once vast forests were, now wide, barren hills arose. The movement of the continent had raised wavy hills into a nearly impassable mountain range within only a few centuries. The west of Nybelmar was utterly destroyed by the forces of the war as well.
After the war is won the Taeánrhim begin to rebuild the forests and the destroyed lands, they are betrayed by a human named Kyras the Dark and lose faith in all other races and tribes but the Korweynite humans who continue to fight the evil seeds of Coór.
1.3 The First Nations.
1.3.1. Elves:
8800 b.S. Neutral Taean appear
A faction of elves, finding themselves only wanting Peace in the war against Evil establish themselves separate from the Taeánrhim and refuse to fight in the war against Evil. Their Taeánrhim brothers shun them, and they find themselves pushed to the eastern end of the Emerald Woods.
7280 b.S. Pheránrhim establish the Autumn Woods realm
A tribe of elves, whose passion for life was awakened by the War of the Chosen, decides to explore the continent. Beyond the old burned lands they find the “Autumn Forest”, and thus the Elves who are born there take the name Pheránrhim. This action causes them to be looked down upon by the Taeánrhim.
1.3.2. Orcs:
No records. Up to the discovery of the black orcs in the far west, their race was actually quite forgotten. The Chyrakisth are thrown out of Ehebion (sometimes around 6000 bS) and from this point on they start to create their usual chaos throughout the lands.
1.3.3 Dwarves:
~9000 b.S.
The War of the Chosen is hard on the two Nybelmarian dwarven tribes and so the Toltrumerim tribe is vanquished. Of all the great cities that the dwarves have built, only Tyr Faerath is still standing when war ends. The elves take the dwarven Morongetyr stone from Ehebion (as Menemronn stole it from the dwarves) to their forest to protect it.
~8600 b.S.
The remaining Kiingerim are divided into three groups. Some travel to Tyr Faerath and the city grows rapidly. Others travel into the new wasteland Terruin Zsharath and become the nomadic Kavogerim. The third, and smallest, group travel north and settles on the hills of the northern parts of the Zharkanions. They become the Chaorim.
~6700 b.S.
The Kavogerim and Kiingerim make a pact about controlling the trade routes. The Kavogerim will protect caravans moving north and east through the dangerous wilderness and for that they would get a share of what is transported.
1.3.4. Humans:
West:
~unknown to 6000 bS: during the First Shadow War a lot of humans fled to the west. The legends told in the nowadays west Nybelmar, mention several human tribes (Note: The Aestera and the Lillivear are not part of this first immigration wave) of fierce nomadic horsemen escaping Menemronn’s armies to populate the lands between Therrein Nermarein, Desert Kaerath, and the Valley of Orcal.
~5700 bS: The Exodus of the Aestera and the Lillivear end as the tribes arrive on the southwestern peninsula and start to settle in its tropical rainforests. The Lillivear establish their civilization south of the great mountain range, west of Rháásthár (the middle of the three gigantic rivers dividing the peninsula into four regions) while the Aestera claim the lands east of the great river.
~5600 b.S: Ferocious battles between the Lillivear and the Aestera over Rháásthár (and thus, access to the western lands and southern jungles) exhaust both civilizations’ resources and weaken their border defenses.
A substantial wave of horsemen, after a disagreement with the main horde, floods south, settling all along the western slopes. For centuries to follow, they will send massive raids against the Lillivear from their western flanks. This tribe later takes on the name “Krár”.
The rest of the seven tribes, of which both the Aestera and the Lillivear were initially part of, arrive in the southwestern peninsula. The Qualaris and the Evalaris claim the northeastern woods, the Saroshar puts down strong roots on the coastal region southeast of these woods, the Viaquis rides all across the Aesteran realm to the forests of Daeinion Maneth, and the last tribe (the Arath) journeys west across Lillivear lands to colonize the westernmost shores of the isthmus. The Arath will in time fuse with the nomadic horsemen to form the main Krathrian tribe.
- 5500 b.S: After the unremitting invasions of the surrounding kingdoms the leaders of the Aestera and the Lillivear come to the mutual conclusion that neither of their beautiful realms can withstand the incursions without help. Thus, following the marriage of Kliám and Mseríá, the two leaders sign the Pact of the Silent Wind and with it the Twin Kingdom is born. In a matter of months, the combined armies of the two tribes manage to drive the intruders back to the edges of the Rhsáll River.
A group of Lillivear, under the leadership of Sálohár of the Bright, refuses to be part of the Krean and set forth west to bring into being a kingdom of knowledge, discovery and equality. They align themselves with the exiled tribes for protection in return for an annual tribute of provisions. These will later shape the first three Krath empires’ astute advisor ranks. They are referenced by contemporary historians as the Orihirim.
For unknown reasons, one of the horsemen tribes of the Nermarein plains rides north past the desert of Kaerath. Name or characteristics of the tribe are unknown.
Factions of nomads from Vaenath surge south into lands that will one day be called Anpagan.
East:
~unknown to 5500 bS: In the aftermath of the First Shadow War, Korweyn the Great's brother, Nandros, will lead his people back to the Sohon Mountains. They will found the Kingdom of Kohendar - which will later become the First Korweynite Empire.
~unknown to 5000 bS: The followers of Kyras (one of the human heroes of the First Shadow War), settle in the Ehebion peninsula among the ruins of Menemronn's fortresses, together with the remaining Chyrakisth tribes. They start to name themselves "Lords of the Sickle" and will form the basis of the later Murmillion people.
- The third major human tribe that took part of the First Shadow War disappears and it is believed that they have actually fled to the eastern islands to become the later Santerrans.
2. The Age of Myths (5500 bS - 3200 bS)
Elves
5230 b.S. Founding of Fullwanooth
Pheránrhim and the Neutral Taean elves found Fullwanooth. They establish the town hoping that it will become a sanctuary for all exiles, and a neutral territory for all races. This prompts Taeánrhim warriors to leave the Emerald Woods with reckless abandon to fight the Shadow Realm, using Fulwanooth as a staging ground.
3800 b.S. Roots of the Ifer
A faction of Taeánrhim warriors begins to practice fire magic as a form of warfare. Their skills are great and enemies as well as allies fear them. This reaction by others causes them to flock to Fullwanooth in droves.
3200 b.S. The Great Unrest
As the Second Shadow Realm rises to full power, the Taeánrhim suffer from a loss of faith in their principles and various factions dispute over the true way to the One Goddess. A war breaks out and elf kills elf, in the name of Ava.
Fullwanooth is destroyed in the battle between the Taeánrhim and the Ifer'hem, the self-named magic-wielding exiles. The Ifer, after destruction of Fullwanooth, continue into the Emerald Woods and set a good portion of it ablaze.
Humans
West.
5400-5000 b.S: The Era of Dawn
This age, known as the (First) Era of Dawn in western Nybelmar, marks the birth of the first Krean Empire: Orero Kreankra (‘United under the light of dawn’), the emergence of the Orihirim as a sovereign tribe, and the rise of the Krar.
~5400 b.S: The now united Aestera and the Lillivear from the First Krean Empire and within the century control more than half the peninsula.
~5400 b.S: The Orihirim form their first Council of Light, a significant step towards the creation of Tar Oria.
~5200 b.S: The Krar choose their first Káróth under whom all the bands unite. The Karoth begins a long chain of raids against the Krean that will persist for three hundred years.
~5100 b.S: The First Krean Empire loses territory to the unrelenting Krar invasions.
5000-4700 b.S: The Age of Poison
In this age the Lillivear discover how to extract the venom of the wild animals and flora found within their forests. The meticulous evolution of the poison crafts for which the Krean will be renown starts.
~4900 b.S: The Krar raids are finally brought to a halt after all the clan chiefs are found dead in their command tents. The Krean use this assassination practice to keep Krar in line for another two hundred years. It is assumed that the Black Wardens and the first Krean spy network originated in this century.
~4700 b.S: Steered by Orero Kreankra, the Krar focus their raids on the Orihirim.
~4600 b.S: The Orihirim convince the Krar to protect their lands against the Krean. In return they supply the nomads leaders with antidotes against Lillivear poisons.
~4300 b.S: The First Krean Empire collapses and the Krean are forced to retreat deeper into their woods. More than a third of Orero Kreankra territory is lost.
~4200 b.S: With Orihirim counsel the Krar form their first kingdom, which soon develops into an early version of the Krath Empire.
~4000 BS:
*Krar influence with the assistance of the Orihirim state, Tar Oria, expands towards the farthest reaches of Lillivear territory in the west. Their threatening presence also looms over most of the Arath realm. Numerous skirmishes between the Krar and the Arath take place in this century, resulting in a constant expansion of the Krar kingdom.
* The first Qualaris Councils as 2-3 city alliances surface.
- 3900 BS:
* The Qualaris Councils of the previous century merge and evolve into larger alliances, each now comprising around 4-5 cities.
*3897: The Krar move their capitol south to lay siege to the last great bastion protecting the wealth of the Arath coastline.
*3846: The Arath capitol falls.
- 3800-3700 BS:
* This century is marked by the birth of the 1st “Krath” (from ‘Krar’ and ‘Arath’) Empire. In time the Arath within the newly formed empire once again gain control over ongoing trade and infiltrate government bodies. A new line of Arath rulers will triumph over the Krar dynasty.
- 3700-3600 BS:
* The Krath Empire under the new Arath dynasty extinguished the last flame of resistance against the regime. One by one all former Arath provinces are brought under Krath rule.
- 3700 BS:
* The first Queenship of Evaquis appears.
- 3600 BS:
* Towards the final decades of this century conflict breaks between the two tribes, resulting in the collapse of the 1st Krath Empire. The civil war ends with the definitive victory of the Arath. The defeated Krar retreat northeast up to the mountains. Several Arath kingdoms mushroom in former Krath soil.
* Further calescence between the Qualaris Councils produce three major kingdoms south of Evaquis territory in the north-eastern woods. Other than occasionally uniting against the bigger Evaquis state out of necessity, relations between these three Qualaris kingdoms are tense, often giving rise to minor wars.
- 3500 BS:
* In the south of the Peninsula, numerous Viaquis rajas battle each other for more power and land.
* A similar situation exists among the Arath in the west.
* The Krean are very quiet in terms of military prowess in this age, avoiding any major confrontations. They do not take sides in any of the wars breaking in the outside world, preferring instead to further their trade relations with the other tribes. Their neutrality enables them to engage in business with even opposing states – not very infrequently supplying sophisticated poisons to both sides at once. Between selling vials of poison to one side and then selling their respective antidotes to the other (and then reversing the process) the Krean economy blooms. As they continue to expand their trade-empire and gain more and more control over the trade networks of the Peninsula, Twin Kingdom begins to prosper beyond imagination – much to the envy of the other tribes.
- 3470 BS:
A great war begins between jealous Viaquis states, with their eyes set on the fabled weatlth of the Krean, and the Twin Kingdom. Despite their best efforts (& most lustrous coin) the Krean cannot exploit the lack of unity among the Viaquis. Unable to set one raja against another and collapse Viaquis war-efforts from within, open war becomes too taxing on the Krean treasury, which has to hire the armies of neighbouring states to defend the southern border. Not even prodigious Krean vaults can hold against the inexhaustible population of the Viaquis. Krean economy enters a deep depression after this war, taking more than the breadth of a century to recover. Many historians say the Viaquis gathered enough loot in this war to bring about their Golden Age three centuries later.
- 3400-3300 BS:
* Waves of Krar armies come down on the unsuspecting Arath with crushing force. With the Orihirim operating overtly instead of manipulating from behind the scenes as usual, a horrible genocide is averted. With cajoling and where sweet words fail with force (though never lethal), intermarriage is arranged between the two tribes to avoid similar catastrophes from surfacing over ethnic grounds ever again. A new people, the Krathaszar, are born out of this rigorous effort. The Orihirim retreat into their realm, leaving only a rank of advisors with the newly-“forged” empire (II. Krath).
This is the first time the Orihirim openly display their power, remarked by many among them as the loss of their innocence. Rumours of strange creatures of energy seen amidst Orihirim ranks circulate the western reaches of the Peninsula. Oddly, the reports seem to suggest that these creatures appear to orchestrate the whole movement rather than serving the “light ones”.
* The first and for a very very very long time the only Krean request to enter Tar Oria is denied. This is the drop that precipitates the Krean enmity toward the Orihirim and open the chasm between the two tribes that will outlast the millennia to come.
- 3300-3100 BS:
* These two centuries witnessed the Golden Age of Viaquis.
- 3300 BS:
* Krath expands eastward, claiming former Krean territory conquered by the Viaquis. The Empire has now reached the centre of the Peninsula, flanking the Krean to the north and the Viaquis to the south.
* The first Sharosar Empire, known for its severe social hierarchy, elaborate rituals and drawling architecture, emerges.
- 3300-3200 BS:
* War continues with the Viaquis. The Empire also engages in frequent skirmishes with its new neighbour, the Sharosar, in the east.
* With the Viaquis threat removed and Krath reopening the trade cannals, the Twin Kingdom once again prospers – this time surpassing even its former splendour. New economic allegiances with the Krath Empire, the three Qualaris kingdoms and the Evaquis are forged.
* Towards the end of the century, war breaks between the Evaquis and two of the Qualaris kingdoms. The central kingdom remains neutral, acting as a staging point for Krean commercial envoys.
- 3200 BS:
* 3230: After a prolonged time of impasses (which is by far worse for the expansionist Krathaszar) Krath is forced to join forces with the Viaquis to form III. Krath – or perhaps more accurately the II. Viaquis Empire. The superiourly disciplined armies of Sharosar were also a motivating factor for the Krathaszar.
* The southernmost raja does not accept the new Krath-Viaquis (henceforward “Krath”) coalescence and breaks away, declaring his independence as the true heir of Viaquis legacy (hereafter “Viaquis”).
- 3230-3200 BS:
* A war over the trade routes breaks between the Evaquis and the Twin Kingdom. The Krean want to move fast and put Evaquis out of action before their monopoly over trade in the Peninsula is compromised.
* Taking advantage of the situation, the three Qualaris kingdoms unite around the central one and declare their neutrality to avoid being caught between two giants.
* The strengthened Krath Empire, still intoxicated by its swelling numbers, wages war on two fronts: the Krean to the north and Sharosar to the east.
* The Nightshimmer Legions of the Krean (Twin Kingdom’s new weapon) engage Sharosar forces in battle to stop the flow of much-needed supplied to the Evaquis Queendom writhing under the Krean embargo. A bigger nuisance the Krean hope to weed out before it has a chance to take root is the beginning of sea-trade between Sharosar, Qualaris and Evaquis kingdoms, which might potentially short-circuit the extensive web of land-routes the Krean have been running
- 3200 BS:
* Sharosar is forced to cease its alliance with Evaquis to focus on what it considers to be the great menace posed by Krath assaults – just as the Krean had planned.
* Instead of crushing the defeated Evaquis state under devastating terms, the Krean present a very agreeable treaty promising them partnership in peninsular trade. Twin Kingdom hopes to achieve their unwavering allegiance in the darkness of the years to come. Indeed from this point in history onwards the Krean and the Evaquis become inseparable allies.
* A similar treaty is soon signed with the anxious Qualaris government.
* The III. Krath Empire has very few Orihirim counsellors compared to its predecessors. The Orihirim, disapproving of the Viaquis alliance (finding them too chaotic and undependable) withdraw all their advisors. They leave only the one that will later be known as “the White Advisor” for the Karoth’s personal counsel.
East
~5500 bS: On the southern coasts several tribes unite around the kingdom of Kohendar and form the First Korweyn Empire. In the same time a large wave of nomadic people moves in from the west, most of them settling on the southern peninsula which is now called Anpagan.
~5300 bS. An inscription carved on the rocks of the Bothon Mountains tells about a treaty between the Korweynites and the Pagans (meaning the nomads from the west that just settled southwest of Korweyn), establishing the Delren River as their mutual border.
~5000 bS. The Korweynites expand eastwards. The city of Kormendale ("The Stonebridge") is founded on the Raneshar river. The Korweynites start to settle on the lands between the Raneshar and the Sohon Mountains, assimilating the local populations. In the same time, Murmillions descend from their mountains for the first time and start to settle on the Moon Hills.
~5000 bS. The Second Shadow War begins. The Kaýr ask Korweyn the Young, a descendant of Korweyn the Great, to assist them against the supposedly growing threat posed by Murmillions. The Korweynites march east to wage war against what they perceive as remnants of Menemronn's armies. A task that will continue for generations.
~4800 bS. Invading human tribes from the north as well as war bands of Chyrakisth invade the Korweynite lands. The Korweynite army is turned into a professional one to deal with the barbarian hordes and expels them one by one, driving them back north of the Benderrath Mountains.
~4500 bS. The Shadow War grows more and more bloody and the Korweynites entrench their position along the Eypesh as their second secure border while the Murmillions cross the Jerrah and take any settlements on the east coast.
~4500 bS. The independent realm of Ontwana falls to Korweyn as the prince of Ontwana pledges loyalty to the Korweynite king.
~4400 bS. In dire need of more resources the Korweynites break their treaty with the Pagans and take their lands by force. Eventually the Pagans and their Korweynite conquerors will form a new people, the Anpagans.
~4300 bS. The Highdwarves of "Tyr Faerath" agree to pay tribute for military aid as the Chyrakisth to the north and the barbarians in the west puts them under constant pressure. The Korweynite troops will start to escort their caravans and build outposts along the trade routes.
~4000 bS. After winning several battles on the Eypesh plains, Murmillions lay siege to the city of Kosth, but they fail to conquer it. The Korweynites renew their alliance with the Kayr elves and so the Murmillions are forced to retreat. As a result the Korweynite emperor Gelgásh proclaims himself to be "Emperor of the Rising and of the Setting Sun", equal to the lesser Gods, servant of Calderón. Many golden statues all over the empire proclaim his fame and glory.
~4000 bS. The great Battle of Tas. On the plains of Tas a great battle is fought. The Murmillions are defeated and forced to withdraw on the positions as far east as the Jerrah river. The Korweynite emperor refers to this victory as "driving bandits out of their hideout". In the Korweynite tongue "Murma" means a hiding place. Gelgásh moves the capital of Korweyn from Illandrién to the bigger and more prosperous Kormendale. Illandrién gets deserted until it is only used to control traffic over the Sohon Mountains.
~4000-3500 bS. On the relative truce following the Battle of Tas a series of Korweynite emperors dedicate their lives to building huge statues and palaces. The former capital of Illandrien is turned into a necropolis for the emperors of Korweyn.
~3600 bS. The first Santerran ships arrive on the continent, but they will establish a foothold here only much later (roughly after a thousand years)
~3500 bS. Barbarians from the west invade the Korweynite lands again. Among them we can find the Kassite horsemen.
~3450 bS. The emperor Chilégg is aware of the lack of cavalry in the Korweynite army to fight the mostly mounted barbarians and hires the Kassites to fight them in exchange for grazing grounds on the plains of Korweyn.
~3450 bS. The Korweynites invade the Kaleman islands, lured by the fabled reaches said to be found there. They will find an unexpected resistance from the local tribes and are forced to pull out after 50 years.
~3300 bS. The centuries of careless leadership break out into various riots all over the Korweynite lands (also a lot of heresies arise in the empire, supposedly being fed by Murmillions). The imperial army is dispatched to suppress any opposition. Taking advantage of this, the Murmillions strike again and overrun the fortress of Kelád at the northern end of the Jerrah. They turn it into a bridgehead for operations west of the Jerrah. This time their fury is ignited by an unprecedented religious fanatism, backed by the strong leadership of their new king, Sylas.
~3300 bS. The new emperor Makéln declares himself equal to Calderón. The outraged priesthood and any opposition to this heresy is put down by the sword. Instead of mounting all efforts in fighting the growing threat of Murmillions the emperor spends all the imperial funds on monuments and vast temples erected in his name. To gain more resources he lays heavy tributes onto the provinces.
~3250 bS. More uprisings in the west force the imperial legions to move away from the Eypesh plains, leaving the lands vulnerable to Murmillion raids.
- 3246 bS. The Korweynite prince Narvé is sentenced to death for high treason and flees into the west. Under his leadership the area around Anis-Anpagan revolts against the empire and will form the kingdom of Anis Anpagan. He actually dreams of restoring the old glory of Korweyn.
- 3205 bS After a seven years siege, the city of Cykosi falls to the Murmillion armies. Under the command of a new general, Theodunn Pheronn, they pass the whole east coast by sword and fire. They stop only five years later when they fail to cross the Eypesh delta (following a fierce naval battle).
- 3205-3200 bS. The northeastern Korweynite cities are "liberated" by the Murmillion King Sylas. Surprisingly or not, the local population indeed greets them as liberators. Makélm grows more and more paranoid and murders anyone who either questions him or amasses too much power. Several great generals die this way until Finnás, his brother, poisons him. However it is too late as many of the provinces are in open rebellion against the empire. He recalls all legions to Kormendale to face the Murmillions who prepare to cross the Eypesh river.
- 3199 bS. Theodunn and Sylas meet their armies in the Eypesh woods and cross the great river. With the few legions that answered his call, Finnás marches out of the capital seeking a decisive battle on the plains of Raneshar. A legendary battle is fought on the "Fields of Tears" and it is said that the Korweynite army was entirely decimated. Both Sylas and Finnás have lost their lives in that battle. Also the legends tell that the smallest daughter of Finnás was taken by a small group of Kassites and hidden in the elven forests. Later on, Tiara will claim to be her descendant on the founding of the Second Korweyn.
- 3198.bS. Theodunn Pheronn becomes the new king of Murmillions, ruling over a "Shadow Realm" (one of the names of the Ehebion Kingdom) extending from Ehebion and Moon Hills to the Raneshar River. One by one any last places of resistance are brutally suppressed and the First Empire of Korweyn becomes but only a memory. After almost two thousand years, the Second Shadow War finally ends.
- 3196 bS. A treaty is issued between the Kingdoms of Ehebion and Anis-Anpagan, signed by Theodunn and Narve. Basically they agree to part the whole known world in two: the western half for Anpagans, the eastern half for Murmillions. This treaty is considered to mark the beginning of the Dark Age of Nybelmar (an age that will last until the Year of Darkness).
Dwarves
~5300 b.S.
The Kiingerim strikes an agreement with the Korweynites. The deal is better for Korweynites than for Tyr Faerath, but the dwarves have little choice. The deal sets the dwarven town in control of the trade moving from east to west much more than before though.
~3200 b.S.
With the fall of the first Korweyn Empire the Kiingerim lose their grip on the trade from east to west. The paths north are still held open by the Kavogerim, but the economy of the two tribes suffers hard from this.
3. The Dark Age of Nybelmar
Elves
2800 b.S. Iferhem Civilization
The Iferhem, now recognized as a wholly different tribe from the Kayrrhem, begin a culture vaguely similar to the old culture that they left behind. The Iferhem still look very similar to their Taeanrhim brothers but, in fact, the Iferhem seem to be the exact opposite in nearly all aspects. As the Taeanrhim embrace Ava and Peace, the Iferhem embrace Co'or and destruction.
1883 b.S. Fullwanooth Rebuilt
The Pheranrhim finally rebuild Fullwanooth. They still hope to use it as a neutral ground for exiles, but are more set on establishing it as a controlled possession of the Autumn Woods rather than its own independent city.
1649 b.S. The Year of Darkness
The great Elven Empire of the Emerald Woods, after much struggle to keep together, falls apart. A new faction has arisen within the ranks of the Iferhem. Calling themselves the Co'orhem, they take the Year of Darkness as a Sign from Co'or that their time is at hand, and they practice genocide on the Iferhem. This event single-handedly brings about the end of the Iferhem as a tribe.
The eastern half of the Great Elven Empire becomes the Crystal Woods, inhabited by the now-dominant Co'orhem, the Western half populated by the Kayrrhem (the Taeánrhim name dies with the splitting of the forest.)
The Pheránrhim break all ties with the Kayrrhem, while Neutral Taean elves leave the woods altogether, and head east for Pallaeion Ullinoth. Their quick separation from the Kayrrhem give them the name Aelónrhim, and their neutral stance in nearly all matters give them the nickname "Lost Elves."
1648 b.S. Fullwanooth Destroyed Again
The re-established town of Fullwanooth is destroyed yet again, this time by the Chyrakisth. The Pheránrhim try hard to fight off the incoming attackers, but with the town so far from their supplies in the Autumn Woods and the twisted half-orcs bent on destruction, the Pheránrhim find it is a fruitless endeavor and surrender the town.
Humans
West
- 3200-3100 BS:
* As anticipated, Viaquis-Sharosar sea-trade begins. Seeing the very real threat of their trade empire crumbling into pieces materialize over the horizon, Krean attacks against Sharosar intensify. The Evaquis, afraid losing a finally promising future before it even has a chance to begin, put all their power behind the Krean. It should also be born in mind that the strictly egalitarian, female-ruled Evaquis society could never have sided with the Sharosar Empire.
* What began as free trade soon solidifies into an alliance against Krath between the Viaquis and Sharosar.
* 3190: Subdued by threats from their southern neighbour, Sharosar, the Qualaris maintain their neutrality, turning down the many invitations to join the Krean-Evaquis coalition. 3180: The alliance has no choice but to move their combined army into Qualaris soil. 3170: The thoroughly defeated Qualaris surrender.
* Unfortunately when the Evaquis are busy with the resistance in the western regions, Krath launches an attack and burrows all the way across Sharosar to conquer one of the south-eastern Qualaris provinces. The Empire’s new neighbour in the northeast is a traumatized Evaquis.
- 3170-3100 BS:
* Instead of attacking Evaquis and waiting for the Alliance to respond, Krath directly wages war against the Krean-Evaquis-Qualaris triangle on all three fronts.
* The new Sharosar-Viaquis military alliance seizes this opportunity to invade Krath territory.
* The Empire reiterates by fuelling the conflict between Sharosar & Evaquis, diverting the resources of both away from its fronts. Krath hopes to shatter the fragile alliances before they get a chance to consolidate.
- 3100 BS: The Orihirim Enlightenment
- 3000-2900 BS:
* After a disastrous attempt to share their new found knowledge and utopic ideals in order to unite the tribes and bring peace to the Peninsula, we can see the beginning of Orihirim seclusion. By the end of the century, the Orihirim will have completely isolated themselves from the outside world.
* Sharosar and Krath secretly strike a deal. According to this, Sharosar will invade Qualaris, effectively separating the Evaquis and the Krean. Krath will then march into the isolated Twin Kingdom, whose wealth would be equally shared between the two empires.
* Krath betrays Sharosar when the Krean “join” the Earth League at the end of High Queen Lílýáshn Áérálvr’s reign. In return, the Krath Empire promises to eradicate the Vaiquis threat.
- 2970-2940 BS:
* When the last independent Viaquis raja is destroyed ten years later, the Krean agree to fully relinquish their sovereign rights. In the span of these 30 years (2970-2740) the “Earth League” formed between the Krathaszar, Krean & Viaquis transforms into the IV. Krath Empire, which now assumes the name “The Grand Empire of Earth”.
- 2940-2860 BS:
* Several dozen wars rage between Grand Krath and a Sharosar-Qualaris alliance.
- 2900 BS:
* 1st Evaquis expedition to Zhun takes place. To prevent Evaquis from having sole command over these uncharted rich lands to the north, Krath acquiesces to the Krean’s having autonomous colonies in Zhun.
- 2900-2600 BS:
* The Plains are a mosaic of Evaquis-Zhunite and Krean-Zhunite colonies. Contrary to Krath knowledge, the two Peninsular powers coexist peacefully. An underlying feeling of comradeship still exist between the Krean and the Evaquis.
- 2800 BS: The Krean Classical Age.
East
- 3194 bS Narve, the Anpagan King, makes his first move to bring the former western Korweynite provinces in his new kingdom. Fearing that the Murmillions might cross the Raneshar the local lords agree to pledge their loyalty to Anis-Anpagan. All across the southeast continent, both Anpagans and Murmillions, following the rumours that they might be protecting the Korweynite royal bloodline, hunt the Kassite tribes.
- 3190 bS Theodunn Pheronn dies and his place is taken by a queen, known as Alma. She will reorganize the now enlarged Ehebion Kingdom, parting it in several provinces given to the most influential Murmillion noble families. They will appoint the so-called "Legates" to rule these provinces - and in time these Legates will become more and more independent.
- 3177 bS Alma moves the Ehebion capital from Dasans to Lhindal. Huge amounts of loot and treasures start to pour down in Lhindal from the Korweynite lands.
- 3172 bS "Narve the Wise" dies and his place is taken by his eldest son. A new dynasty is born in Anis-Anpagan. In the next centuries they will consolidate their rule in the former western Korweyn. The provinces bordering the Raneshar River will never be completely subdued though.
~ 3100 bS The Anpagans try to take over the Kaleman Islands, but they will encounter the same stubborn resistance as the Korweynites. Using large bribes they do manage to establish a strong influence on many of the local warlords though.
- 2945 bS. A guild of self-styled mages appears within the Anpagan Aseyan clergy. They will be recognized as a separate organization and their popularity might be considered as a sign of things to come.
~ 2700 bS. The Anpagans meet the Santerrans on the Kaleman islands. Though they both claim to have peaceful relations with each other, in fact they are fiercely (and unfairly) competing to have access to the riches of these islands. Supporting various local warlords they often engage in small skirmishes and sea battles with each other.
~ 2600 bS The Anpagans land on the eastern coast of Zhun. They make the first contact with the Krean people and establish a trade agreement with them.
Dwarves
2800 b.S.
The Kiingerim are told that the elves have the Morongetyr and demand it back. The elves do not trust the dwarves to handle such a dangerous item and refuse. After some diplomacy the dwarves leave their city and march towards the forest. Refusing a war the elves finally agree to give the dwarves back their stone.

Oo. Ya. Koldie wasn't so big on elves.
I knew he had some ideas, but never totally fleshed them out for me- he only hinted at bigger things.
Anyway.
When you had mentioned the need for a solid Nybelmar Timeline, I started some work. Here's a smudge of work I did a few nights ago, not pertaining to specific tribes.
Originally a part of the Kayrrhem, the Iferhem found fire and chaos more pleasing- for in destruction, new life arises, always much stronger than before. So the Turn to fire and chaos was merely, to them a natural step. What nation does not desire more strength and power? A nation that no longer stands on its own feet.
The Iferhem still look very similar to their Kayrrhem brothers. In fact, the Ifer'hem seem to be the exact opposite in nearly all aspects. As the Kayrrhem embrace Ava and Peace, the Iferhem embrace Co'or and destruction.
The Fall of Iferhem and the Rise of Co'orhem can be easily traced, though few texts exist of such. As the City of Sevari Came to rise and the Population increased, the Iferhem had to begin contending with a new, far more Dangerous belief system- one that threatened to destroy itself and all around it.
there is also a timeline on the Kayrrhem entry, that could prove to be useful for Elven reference.
?-15000 b.S The Era of Harmony
The Kaýr are possibly part of the Astyrhim and part of those elves lateron becoming woodelves.
In their eyes Coór has already sewn his dark seeds and the elves should thus keep pure by following what they've learnt under the Tree of Life. The Kaýr wander off into regions far away from Fá'áv'cál'âr seeking their own way to the truth of the Dream.
12000 b.S.-10000 b.S. The Era of the Anvil
The dream of Fá'áv'cál'âr has ended. The races scatter over the lands and some of the elves flee to the Kaýr. While elves in other regions suffer under the pressure of the other, shortaged races of the Emerald Woods grow into a second elven realm outside the Thaelon reach a similar glory as Fá'áv'cál'âr though never striving for anything as impertinent as claiming to unite the races.
10000 b.S.- 9000 b.S. The War of the Chosen
The Emerald Woods that covered most parts of the western Menéchrónn are burnt and many elves die. The Kaýr lead together with the last three of the human tribes the last battle against Menemrónn, the greatest Chosen of Nybelmar. After the war is won the Kaýr begin to rebuild the forests and the destroyed lands, they're betrayed by Kyras the Dark and lose faith in all other races and tribes but the Korweynites who continue to fight the evil seeds of Coór like the Kaýr do.
~3600 b.S. The Great Unrest
Though the Second Shadow Realm falls the Kaýr suffer from a loss of faith in their principles and various factions dispute over the true way to the One Goddess. Later it is revealed that the Fireelves, a religious sect indeed became worshippers of Coór lured to his side by great deceivers of his. A war breaks out and elf kills elf. The great empire falls apart. The eastern half becomes the Crystal Woods, a deadly forest inhabited by the Coórrhem, the Nightelves.
since
since 2000 b.S. The second Reign of Korweyn
With the second Empire of Korweyn rising to old power several of the southern clans of the Kaýrrhem decide to join the empire to secure its well-being and keep it on the right path. The Kaýr, weakened by the war against the third Shadow Realm, slowly withdraw deep into the jungle and stay most of the time for themselves. The centralistic control over the woods slowly diminishes. Only the lack of organization among the Coórrhem prevents another war between elves.
This is the only Nybelmar Elf Tribe with any history- as stated so many times, Koldar had a plan, but didn't share it with anyone.
As I always wonder with old entries, can they be changed to better suit us? I mean, with so many gaps and unanswered questions, is it okay to manipulate our timeline to better fit our needs? Or is it set in stone?
Reading the Kayrrhem entry, some questions arose for me, questions I couldn't answer.
~If the Kayrrhem can trace roots to ASTYRHIM, does this mean at one time they were a part of the Sarvonian tribe? I would assume so, considering Nybelwar was magically seperated from some other landmass. Is that Landmass Sarvonia? It would make a lot of sense.
.
~A major body of they Kayrrhem never joined to fa'av'ca'lar (I can't spell it right, forgive me.),But some elves ran to them when it fell. It also says they built some sort of Realm that grows large under Kayr rule. Are there any notes of it- ANYWHERE? This Realm could be the ancient roots of Fullwanooth.
~There are all these wars that I don't recognize. Are they different names of the same wars in Sarvonian texts? Or are these wars strictly Nybelmarian?
~Menemronn- The Greatest Chosen. This means there are others, yes? Where can we work in these "others?" I was thinking one of the Chosen could be a Kayr- an Astyrhim, perhaps. But there is a name that is very confusing- Kyras the Dark? Who is he? There's no entry on him.
There's some musings for you. I can do some more work and see if I can come up with a solid Elven Timeline- Not just for Kayr.
*edit* I want to also let you know that the dark-elves here in Nybelmar REALLY NEED an update, so as soon as we can nail this down, I'll do that. The Dark Elves are flexible so don't worry about contradicting them. Just keep the solid 3600 b.S. date and we'll be set.

Yes, you're right, we need to bring them all up and discuss them. There are a lot of things in this forum out of date, a lot of timelines and overviews that in time became obsolete. But that is because we are following a dynamic process
The link in question refers to some of Koldar's older drafts and sketches - it is important though, to see how the ideas came to be in the first place.
On the same logic, we can say that no Nybelmarian entry is "set in stone". They can all be updated and most of them should be updated (only if we think at the various histories presented in the tribes entries - sometimes even contradicting each other; actually they were meant to be more like guidelines anyway). So our first thought now should be to work out a coherent timeline while being careful not to forget to update an older entry when when it's the case. I mean we should try make this thread "official", at least for some good time.
Now about the more general historical questions.
The idea is that indeed Nybelmar was once part of a larger landmass that had Sarvonia in it as well. The thing is that we have to keep this as vague and "mythical" as possible - after all we're talking about times so ancient that we cannot speak of history anymore.
Unfortunately there aren't any mentions of such a great Kayr realm that could form the roots of a Fullwanooth realm. Not that I know of... From what I understood, Fullwanooth was a city of exiles coming from all directions. It's your area now, anyway
About Menemronn - check out his entry
(actually one Nybelmarian entry that can stand without an updated for a long time, I think). There you will see who was this Kyras fellow. Basically, when the Kayr searched for the remaining human tribes to oppose to Menemronn, they found only three: one led by Korweyn, one led by Enfastalos and one led by Kyras. After the defeat of Menemronn, Kyras will claim that the whole war was wrong and that Menemronn was actually a good guy. He will try to rebuild Menemronn's realm, which means of course treason in the eyes of all others. The Murmillions are actually the heirs of Kyras' deeds in Ehebion. And, of course, the fact that the Kayr found only three human tribes does not mean that they were the only humans left on Nybelmar (some of them were with Menemronn, while the rest were hiding in the far west)
The wars in question have nothing to deal with Sarvonia. Actually this part of history (from the war against Menemronn to the Year of Darkness and quite a little bit beyond) takes place in a total isolation - the Nybelmarians pretty much consider themselves to be living on the only landmass that exists in this world. The first Sarvonians will arrive in the Crimson Islands sometimes around 1000 bS - 500 bS. We'll have to check with the Sarvonian developers when we get to that part.
Menemronn might be identified as one of the Chosen, yet the War of the Chosen has little meaning for other than perhaps Kayr in Nybelmar (again, check the Menemronn entry for more details on this
). Uhm... and from what I recall we never mentioned his race. While I was developing the Murmillions I pictured him as human. Koldar was thinking of him as more of a demon, while he was developing the Korweynites.
About the other Nybelmarian wars. Well there should be plenty of local wars and such, but there are three major ones, called "Shadow Wars". The First Shadow War is the ancient war against Menemronn. Also Menemronn's realm in Nybelmar was called the First Shadow Realm. The Second Shadow War is the one that takes place mainly between Korweynites and Murmillions (it was caused by the Kayr actually). This war does not involve many nations but stands out through its huge lenght. Also it's called the Second Shadow War because the Murmillions were trying to pick up from where Menemronn left. The Murmillion kingdom, will also be called (by both them and the others, though with opposite meanings - see the Shadowcasting religion entry for details on this meanings) The Second Shadow Realm.
And there should be a Third Shadow War, with the afferent Third Shadow Realm, sometimes after the Year of Darkness. Koldar never specified exactly when and exactly what should happen. He only hinted that the Coor'rhem and Chyrakisth should be involved. My thoughts here is to make this war not as long as the Second but much larger. I'm thinking that we can begin with a series of local simultaneously conflicts that eventually "unify" in a coherent meaning for all. About when this should happen, I guess we should place it between the Year of Darkness and the year 0. We also already have some hints in this direction: the Chyrakisth entry mentions that a certain warlord takes over in the Year of Darkness ("with nasty consequences afterwards") and we have the Dark Plague mentioned in the Asbavaer and Asdamon entries (for the Venlaken and Anpagan guys). Also in this very same period we have the birth of the Second Korweyn (I'll have to finish Koldar's Tiara entry eventually). But these things are still far away, as we have a lot of work to do yet.
PS: uhm... as you can see, that history in the Kayr entry needs an update as well, Tiara will found the Second Korweyn a bit later (a few centuries after the Year of Darkness), and we should place the elven civil war during the Dark Age (this was something that we agreed some time ago - to make it more coherent; it wouldn't be right to make it a Dark Age just because the Korweynites lost the war). I liked what you wrote though, maybe you can make that a basis for a future short overview entry on the Nybelmarian elves? (don't do it though until you figure out what's with the elves of the Autumn forest and the Sarteran ones)
PS2: a long time ago I wrote the Arkhaeon Guild entry (a Murmillion organization), where I mentioned an earlier Fullwanooth and the fact that they contacted and even made an agreement with the fire elves. Maybe you'll look into that (no need to read it all, just skim on it, it's huge - I fear to think that I'll need to update it lol)
PS3: lol, and another short note. We don't have too many People entries for Nybelmar yet, but our idea was to make them all quite important. This means that they should be "snapshots of history", describing events, situations, details that do not fit into the general timeline. I wrote all my People entries having this in mind, and Koldar did that as well. Perhaps in a far future we can ask Arti to reorganize that section of the web-site a bit, to part it on continents and historical periods, rather than using the current alphabetical order.

What I have so far; I'm hoping to complete at least the 5800 -4800 b.S period:
Humans – West
- 5800 b.S: Several human tribes of fierce nomadic horsemen escaping Menemronn’s armies populate the lands between Therrein Nermarein, Desert Kaerath, and the Valley of Orcal.
- 5700 b.S: The Exodus of the Aestera and the Lillivear end as the tribes arrive on the southwestern peninsula and start to settle in its tropical rainforests. The Lillivear establish their civilization south of the great mountain range, west of Rháásthár (the middle of the three gigantic rivers dividing the peninsula into four regions) while the Aestera claim the lands east of the great river.
- 5600 b.S: Ferocious battles between the Lillivear and the Aestera over Rháásthár (and thus, access to the western lands and southern jungles) exhaust both civilizations’ resources and weaken their border defenses.
A substantial wave of horsemen, after a disagreement with the main horde, floods south, settling all along the western slopes. For centuries to follow, they will send massive raids against the Lillivear from their western flanks.
The rest of the seven tribes, of which both the Aestera and the Lillivear were initially part of, arrive in the southwestern peninsula. Two tribes claim the northwestern woods, one puts down strong roots on the coastal region southeast of these woods, one rides all across the Aesteran realm to the forests of Daeinion Maneth, and the last tribe journeys west across Lillivear lands to colonize the westernmost shores of the isthmus. This last tribe will in time fuse with the nomadic horsemen to form the main Krathrian race.
- 5500 b.S: After the unremitting invasions of the surrounding kingdoms the leaders of the Aestera and the Lillivear come to the mutual conclusion that neither of their beautiful realms can withstand the incursions without help. Thus, following the marriage of Kliám and Mseríá, the Pact of the Silent Wind is signed by the two leaders and with it the Twin Kingdom is born. In a matter of months, the combined armies of the two tribes manage to drive the intruders back to the edges of the Rhsáll River (later known as the Rháásthár).
A group of Lillivear, under the leadership of Sálohár of the Bright, refuses to be part of the Krean and set forth west to bring into being a kingdom of knowledge, discovery and equality (later forming the continent’s first working meritocracy). They align themselves with the exiled tribes for protection in return for an annual tribute of provisions. These will later shape the first three Krath empires’ astute advisor ranks.
For unknown reasons, one of the horsemen tribes of the Nermarein plains rides north past the desert of Kaerath.
Factions of nomads from Vaenath surge south into lands that will one day be called Anpagan.

Coren, I've integrated your additions, take a look and see if you're ok with them. About that last entry with that kingdom separated from Krean: name it
But obviously you need to add more things so I'll wait. Also it won't hurt to name that peninsula as well...

The Kaýr wander off into regions far away from Fá'áv'cál'âr seeking their own way to the truth of the Dream, calling themselves the Taeánrhim.
12000 b.S.-10000 b.S. The Era of the Anvil
The dream of Fá'áv'cál'âr has ended. The races scatter over the lands and some of the elves flee to the Taeánrhim. While elves in other regions suffer under the pressure of the other, shortaged races of the Emerald Woods grow into a second elven realm outside the Thaelon reach a similar glory as Fá'áv'cál'âr though never striving for anything as impertinent as claiming to unite the races.
10000b.S.- 9000 b.S. The War of the Chosen
The Emerald Woods that covered most parts of the western Menéchrónn are burnt and many elves die. The Taeánrhim lead together with the last three of the human tribes the last battle against Menemrónn, the greatest Chosen of Nybelmar.
Menemrónn had enslaved man and elf alike to fight his wars, and the beginning of Dark Elves on Nybelmar appear here. After the war is won the Taeánrhim begin to rebuild the forests and the destroyed lands, they are betrayed by Kyras the Dark and lose faith in all other races and tribes but the Korweynites who continue to fight the evil seeds of Coór like the Taeánrhim do.
8800 b.S. Neutral Taean appear
A faction of elves, finding themselves only wanting Peace in the war against Evil establish themselves seperate from the Taeánrhim and refuse to fight in the war against Evil. They are shunned by their Taeánrhim brothers, and they find themselves pushed to the eastern end of the Emerald Woods.
7280 b.S. Pheránrhim establish Autumn woods
A tribe of elves, whose passion for life was awakened by the War of the Chosen decide to explore the continent. Beyond the old burned lands they find the Autumn forest, and Elves who are born here take the name Pheránrhim. This action causes them to be looked down upon by the Taeánrhim.
5230 b.S. Founding of Fullwanooth
Pheránrhim and and the Neutral Taean elves found Fullwanooth. They Establish it in hopes it becomes a sanctuary for all exiles, and neutral territory for all races. This prompts Taeánrhim warriors to leave the Emerald Woods with reckless abandon to fight the Shadow Realm, using Fulwanooth as a staging ground.
3800 b.S. Roots of the Ifer
A faction of Taeánrhim warriors begin to practice fire magic as a form of warfare. Their skills are great and they are feared by enemies as well as allies.
2800 b.S. Iferhem Civilization
The Iferhem, now recognized as a wholly different tribe from the Kayrrhem, begin a culture vaguely similar to the old culture they left behind. The Iferhem still look very similar to their Taeanrhim brothers. In fact, the Ifer'hem seem to be the exact opposite in nearly all aspects. As the Taeanrhim embrace Ava and Peace, the Iferhem embrace Co'or and destruction.
1883 b.S. Fullwanooth Rebuilt
Fullwanooth is finally rebuilt by the Pheranrhim.
A new faction has arisen within the ranks of the Ifer'hem. Calling themselves the Co'orhem, they take the Year of Darkness as a Sign from Co'or that their time is at hand, and they practice genocide on the Ifer'hem. This event single-handedly brings about the end of the Ifer'hem as a tribe.
The eastern half of the Great Elven Empire becomes the Crystal Woods, inhabited by the now-dominant Co'orhem, the Western half populated by the Kayrrhem (the Taeánrhim name dies with the splitting of the forest.)
The Pheránrhim break all ties with the Kayrrhem, while Neutral Taean elves leave the woods alltogether, and head east for Pallaeion Ullinoth. Their quick seperation from the Kayrrhem give them the name Aelónrhim, and their neutral stance in nearly all matters give them the nickname "Lost Elves."
1648 b.S. Fullwanooth Destroyed
The re-established town of Fullwanooth is destroyed yet again, this time by the Chyrakisth. The Pheranrhim try hard to fight off the incoming attackers, but with the town so far from their supplies in the Autumn woods and the twisted half-orcs bent on destruction, the Pheranrhim find it is a fruitless endeavor and surrender the town.
1450 b.S. Second Empire of Korweyn is Born
With the second Empire of Korweyn rising to old power,
A faction of the Kayrrhem leave the Emerald Woods to reside in the Empire Of Korweyn. They are accepted into the Empire as Refugees, and are the roots of the Urnárhim.
1280 b.S. The founding of Sevari
A new city-state is erected. Named Sevari, it becomes the heart of the Crystalwoods. Some say it is a twisted and crude imitation of Fullwanooth.

No, Smith, I'm not okay with them. Not at all actually. I would be really glad if you inserted my additions as they are (of course arranging the time periods over the related eras).
I need this detail there as a base what I will post later this week. These early times are vital to understand how the history and civilizations of the west were shaped. Following from the roots, people should be able to see how each people evolved.
Also, you confused the two major 'tribe sources'. (i guess I should name them to prevent further misunderstanding). The nomadic tribes I mentioned under 5800 b.S. (which you put under ???- 6000b.S) are horsemen TOTALLY UNRELATED to the Krean. The seven tribes (the "race" in Terran terms) Aestera and Lillivear were part of DID NOT migrate west AT THE SAME TIME, and certainly not that early. The Lillivear (under the leadership of their prophetess) were the first to escape Menemronn's laying waste to the east (they were followed by the Aestera appoximately two years later). The rest of the tribes (at least some of the influential ones) did not want to abandon their lands (some believed this meant fighting Menemronn while others were willing to join him if it would save their realm). Because of this difference of opinions, actually, the Lillivear and the Aestera sort of started to see themselves apart from the main 'race'. Similarly the other tribes regarded them as the bad eggs in the basket, so to say. All this is essential in understanding TK's stance in its foreign politics and the social hierarchy (& how each segment reacts with the others) of the Krath empire.
Also, neither the Aestera nor the Lillivear were ever "nomads".
Each time I use a paragraph under a caption (say 5500b.S), I am writing about a different region and/or civilization in the west. Sort of sweeping my half of the continent from southwest to northeast.

@Coren: Sorry, that was what I understood from your timeline. Ok, I'll leave it like this until you come up with the revised additions. I have some suggestions though: Part them using "events" criteria - "this means: ~xxxxbS: something happens with the tribe Y" As the eventual reader of this timeline presumably doesn't know anything else about Nybelmar, we should make things as clear as possible (so, if there is more than just one migratory wave from east to west, people fleeing from Menemronn's armies, do clearly state it - adding names would be of a great help in this respect). Then use the chronology: if there are events happening in the same time but on different places, put them one after another - even if they have the same date. Check the history section of the site, where the Sarvonian chronology is, we should use a similar model here. Ok, and two other notes: as the myth about Menemronn goes, we only have three human tribes fighting in the First Shadow War, the rest of humans are supposed to be driven off their lands by the dark wizard (that's why the Kayr find only three human heroes leading three human tribes in the Sohon Mountains => they assume that all the other humans were wiped out or enslaved). Also, I used vague territorial references to describe where those tribes fled, as we are talking about really really ancient times - maybe the lands didn't even look the way they do now, so it's better to indicate just an area instead of exact borderlines.
@Viresse: The timeline that we are striving to fix now will be the official one (actually the first official one - as until now we only had some cross-references), so whatever we'll decide here it's going to affect or not the older entries - if yes, than we'll have to update them. The Kayr timeline above looks fine except a few inconsistencies: the 3600 bS date should be probably changed in 3200 bS date - when the Second Shadow Realm rises to full power (it is more coherent this way with the fact that the elves are starting to lose their faith). The Second Shadow Realm falls during the Year of Darkness and the Second Korweyn Empire is created around 1450 bS (considering Koldar's latest drafts for Tiara Uewenil - and I'm using those to finish that entry). Ok so you did find a basis
now it's time for you to take it further

That 3600 was taken directly from the Kayr entry, so I can't accept full responsibility for that. I'll alter it as fit.
Which reminds me. The Elves have a Civil War, that has been moved to the Dark Ages- when is that? Any more information on that? I know the ONE particular war that spawned the Ifer'hem. Is THAT the WAR you've spoken of Moving?
*edit* upon reading, the 3200 move of the Great Unrest MAKES IT THE ELVEN CIVIL WAR OF THE DARK AGE
derr. I am way dumb.
*note* The Giant Elven Realm spoke of earlier, I have realized IS the Taeanrhim Emerald Woods.Okay. Now only to Elvishly name it.
I have been having second thoughts about the EmberTree concept. It seems that there is no real basis for it. Like...AT ALL. And it's my creation- made specifically fr the Ifer'hem, so I'll remove it. That will make the change from Ifer to Co'or more spread out and natural.
*note- I did remove it.*
I also need to contine on with the timeline- things must contine on. Like- Fullwanooth! I need to slam that in somewhere. Where in time would be the best place to start the city of Exiles?
If i recall reading correctly, the Kayr Founded it, but am having some difficulty trying to decide when. Is there any records of it at any point in time? I Read it being mentioned in the Arkhaeon Guild Entry, so It's gotta be a decently established town by then. But I have also heard hat it's been destroyed a few times. *shrugs*
*note*
Reading the entries on the Murmillions made me drop my jaw in awe. Those are an AMAZINGLY well-designed tribe.

Well, browsing through the Murmillion entries I see that there are two main issues on which we would need some coordination [btw: 'takes a deep bow' - thank you for your appreciation
].
One of them is about the first version of Fullwanooth. Looking at the dates a bit, I'd say that we can have the city to be built around 3600 bS - 3800 bS. Maybe even earlier if you like. In this version we would have the Murmillion expedition mentioned in the Arkhaeon entry and the founding of an Arkhaeon branch in Fullwanooth. Then we thought that it would be interesting to have the town destroyed and rebuilt several times. Perhaps a first destruction might occur during the elven unrest (civil war, or how will you decide to call it). A second destruction might be caused by the Chyrakisth, let's say during or a little after the Year of Darkness...
The second issue is about the fact that I mentioned in the Arkhaeon entry that at some point a Coor'hem becomes somehow their Guild Leader. I wonder if you are ok with that.
Now for the other problems. The Dark Age of Nybelmar is supposed to last from 3200 bS to the Year of Darkness (or Atonement in the Sarvonian lore). From what I understood from Koldar, I thought that there was such a great unrest/civil war planned for the elves, at the end of which they split into the factions/breeds that we have now. Though indeed, I see that the Ifer'hem seem to have appeared earlier. Which is ok actually. I mean perhaps we can have a first unrest that results in the birth of Ifer'hem - and we can place that earlier than the Dark Age, maybe around 3600 bS - 3800 bS, to make it fit with the first founding of Fullwanooth and with the fact that at some point the elves are leaving the Korweynites to fight the Shadow Realm pretty much on their own. Then we can have that really big unrest during the Dark Age, causing the birth of Coor'hem and perhaps the other two elven tribes existing now in Nybelmar (the elves of the Autumn Forest and the ones from Sarthera - on which I know absolutely nothing, except for where they are suppose to live). Hmmm... I don't know, what do you say? Maybe you'll come up with a more detailed and coherent history here...

Is it alright if we keep the Sartheran elves there before 3000b.S? (perhaps as a 'branch' of Kayr that does not really regard itself 'seperate'?) I have it mentioned in some of my drafts for the western continent - also it doesn't make sense for Krath not expanding further north if a strong kingdom (especially of elves) is not there to restrain them

Well, actually there are the Chyrakisth and the Benderrath barbarians - and if the barbarians might not be enough, the Chyrakisth surely are
Anyway, I'm ok with any version about those Sartheran guys, so it depends on what Vir decides for them.

Oo. I love the idea of One Tribe being broken into different tribes. I think this is why I like the Iferhem so much- the evolution of Elves.
I like where the birth of the Iferhem is. And i REALLY like the concept with the second unrest creating the Co'orhem.
I really wanted to make the gap larger between the rise and fall of the Ifer'hem. I personally think that unless a mass genocide occurs, the evolution of one tribe into another ( especially with such a long-lived race!) would take more than the 800 or so years I'd given them. That's like, 2-3 generations, hardly enough time to evolve into a different tribe.
So- Yes.No problem.
And I'm noticing there are three more elven tribes, yes?
Fabulous. I'll analyze the map and try and concieve when exactly a good point a tribe could begin in these mentioned forests.
One could be an Old Kayr faction that did not wish for war- those could be those elves in the "weird" part of the continent, that I've heard of.
*NOTE* These elves would most likely be the Sartheran elves- real pushovers.
The other could be a faction that has broken away from the Kayr- more human in their ways, and the most familiar elves on Nybelmar.
*NOTE* These elves will probably be the Autumn Elves- which means they possess Fullwanooth. Awesome.
Of course, these are concepts. I'll have to find some notes about them ( are there any?) to make more solid ideas.
And the Korewyn Elves. Okay. No problem. I can establish that sooo easy.
Oh, and I am PERFECTLY happy with a Co'orhem being a head of the Sect- it will more rightfully root these elves into the world, and if I'm reading correctly about this sect, a great base into which their lore gains Elven inspiration. Though, would it be better if an Iferhem was such, as the records say of the fire-elves being a benefactor?
