This is going to be a very important reference point that will be updated regularly to allow everyone working on this area the best information possible.  I will first have up each seperate map that makes up Northern Sarvonia, and with each map will be the known information in the area, with links to the entries that have already been done so you can see those in more detail then the overviewing I will give here.  I hope this helps to really bring this all together and to allow everyone some the info that has been stuck in my head.

We can always use more beasts, plants and other misc things! If you have any ideas, please consult us!  :D

The Kuglimz Lands

**Note: Please consult Alysse the Likely before developing this area**

This is the most developed section of all of Northern Sarvonia.

Diorye'oleal:  The Diorye'oleal are the dark elves that live in the Hovel Frond Forest. They are known for being some of the strongest clerics of Coór in the world of Caelereth. They are sometimes known as "Frond Elves".

The Ash'mari: The Ash'mari ("Rabid Wolf Tribe") were once of the Kuglimz, but were in time corrupted and then subjugated to the Diorye'oleal. They have little will of their own, rather being used as the martial force of the dark elves. Their reputation as intelligent savages is well earned and they take pleasure in that reputation.

The Ashz'Oc: The orcish tribe known as the Ashz-Oc ("Noble Orcs") live in the southern hills and valleys of the Prominent Mountains in Northern Sarvonia. They're famous for their military strength and their skills in combat, but also for their strong steel and dyed clothes. Although most other races see orcs as hostile monsters, the Ashz-oc became known as honourable and worthy enemies despite many raids that were caused by clans from their lands.

Kuglimz: The Kuglimz are a group of ten different human tribes.  They are considered by some to be barbaric, and while they do fight amongst themselves quite a bit, they are not nearly as cruel as the Ash'mari.

Injerin: The Injerin are the most enlightened elves in Northern Sarvonia, and one of the few light elven tribes.  They are the only ones who truly have any knowledge or history about the area written down.

Losh'Oc: The orcish Losh-Oc ("The True Orcs") tribes live in the harsh hills of Oro north of the Tandalas, forming a loose federation of related clans and families. Therefore they are also referred to as the "Orcs of Oro". They see themselves as the only orcs that still follow the religious trails of the Old and the ones that will gain fame when the "world will fall apart" as it has been in the old times with the Fall of Fá'áv'cál'âr.

Kurakim: The Kurakim Dwarves (Thergerim name Kurakergerim or Kurakergerim) are the most important Thergerim clan of the three known to reside in Northern Sarvonia. Located in the recesses of the craggy, conifer-clad Prominent Mountains, they are undisputed masters at smithery, as with most dwarves, but even more notable for their masonry. Many of the great bridges, fortifications, and cities in the region were built by Kurakim masons and architects, sometimes in conjunction with human effort or elven magery.

The Shadow Elves: The Móh'rhím (Stýrash "Black Tribe"), or the "Shadow Elves", as they are also sometimes known, are one of the more mystifying elven tribes of Caelereth. Their realm is the noxious and odoriferous Water Marshes in  Northern Sarvonia where the Injčrá has hid her countenance from for many a millenia. These are the elves left over from the fall of Fa'ca'val'ar.  They are not dark elves, nor exactly wood or light elves.  They hide in the ruins of what was once a great empire.

The Arty'rhon: The Arthyrón elves have always been rather adventurous for elves. First they left the Injerín elves, and became known as the Folkmore Elves, for the area that they settled. Thus did they name themselves the Arthyrón. Since that time they have explored the rivers of North Eastern Sarvonia, and the Eastern Seas.

Imlith Dwarves The Imlith Dwarves, as they are commonly referred to by humans, live in Northern Sarvonia in the aptly-named Imlith Mountains. Amongst their own kind though they refer to themselves by the name "Susilgerim" (Thergerim  Susilgerim), which is believed to have been taken from "Susilthergetyr" (Susilthergetyr), literally "quiet clan", a curse the Rhom-Oc utter when they have been ambushed yet again.

The Meladrhim:  These elves are best described as a nomadic gathering of elves from both the Injerín and the Artyrhón tribes. While originally simply a gathering of descending elves from other tribes, they are now a distinctive bloodline, and so may finally deserve the title of tribe.

Main Areas

Lu'Weilima, meaning "Weilima's City" or "Weilima's Fortress" is the greatest of all Kuglim towns and is said to have been named after one of the three daughters of the Vir'tog Helvet. It can be found in the Celeste Lowlands of Northern Sarvonia in the land controlled by the Helvet'ine Kuglim ("Brave Helvet's Tribe"), perched upon the middle hill of a range of three hills known as Beinaz'mur or Three Sisters.

The Hovel Frond Forest is a dark rotting place that is home to the Diorye'oleal dark elves, the Ret'gar forest is an offshoot of it.

The Celeste Mountains are mostly dormant volcanoes that are rumoured to be home to a few Fire Dragons. A few of them are actually still active.

The Celeste Lowlands is the plain and hilly section that is the central section of this area and is home to the Kuglimz.

The Mountains of Oro are home to the Losh-Oc orcs who use this position to raid the Kuglimz in the plains. (Undeveloped)

The Shaded Forest is home to the Injerin and is filled with soaring cities and strong stone towns.

The Prominent Mountains are the tallest Mountains in all of Northern Sarvonia. The taller Weastern section are home to the Kurakim in their deep halls. The Eastern foothills are home to the Ashz-Oc.

The Waters Marshes is the dark homes of the Shadow elves, it is the once proud area known as Fa'av'cal'ar. (Undeveloped)

The Peninsula of Kr'uul is a desolate landscape made that way by the ancient blighting magics of Eckra the Cruel. The dominating feature is Tak'dinal. (Undeveloped)

Eight Winds Bay and the islands it contains is the home of the Arty'rhon and the Bay is due to the Battle of the Winds. (Undeveloped)

Imlith Mountains are the home to the Imlith Dwarves and contains only four large peaks with several foothills and is considered the Northern divide of this region. (Undeveloped)

The Kanapan Lands

Tribes

Kanapans: This is the main tribe in the area and covers most of the map.  They are divided into several different kingdoms and most are ruled by a theocracy.  They are very different from any other human inhabitants of Northern Sarvonia, this is due to an extreme difference in climate.

The Ak'váth'rhím: The Ak'váth'rhím elves are isolated (Kanapan Peninsula wastelands) and their dislike for other races and elves is some what forth coming, as it has been many centuries since any of the other races or their own has been seen. Ak'váth'rhím  believe that they are the only living things left of Caelereth. Waiting for the day when they are greeted again by Avá and then rewarded for their beauty. (These need to be edited and re-done)

Rhom'Oc The term Rhom-Oc covers all orcish tribes living in the vast Heath of Wilderon. Most of these orcs live in small family communities scattered over the plains and got known due to their close relationship with wargs with which they hunt the huge herds of reindeers that wander these harsh regions. Usually the Rhom-Oc avoid direct contact with other races except for occasional raids on villages and caravans for which they are feared for and where they use the vastness of the Heaths to escape from anyone who might pursue them.

Places

The Kanapan Peninsula is defined by cliffs of the Isthrius Strait and the Vindel Mountains which help keep it isolated from the world around it.  The small land between the mountains and Chapel Lake is called the Aldridge Swamp which is nigh impassible past Aldridge falls.

Stone Fields of Peat was once an inland sea that during the cataclysm that isolated the Kanapan Peninsula made the lake suddenly not only dry but turn into stone.  This whole area is desolate of vegetation of any kind.  Only rock trolls and twisted rat brownies are known to roam here.

Peat Hillands...(Undeveloped)

Heath of Wilderon are a vast area filled with low laying brush that seperates the Stone Fields of Peat from the more fertile lands to the West. (Undeveloped)

Barsalon is a small independent trading town that survives only because both the orcs and dark elves use it for supply.  It lies hard against Loft Mountain which also makes it hard to attack. (Undeveloped)

The Peninsula of Iol

**Note: Please consult Minóki Kíuru before developing this area**

Tribes

The Ice Tribes: The Ice Tribes are a collection of twelve human tribes living a hard life in the north western edge of the Sarvonian continent. They usually lead a nomadic life and live in a state of constant warfare. They have not developed a sense of solidarity for each other, although the ice tribes have a vestigial sense of their “national” identity. The natural boundaries that separated have left the field open for many local variations in their ethics and way of life.

Himiko

Search Link: See Person's Entry
Details:
The Himiko are counted to the icetribes, but they show not only a very different social structure, but appearance as well. So it is assumed, that their common heritage lies far in the past. They are a nomadic tribe and inhabit the Himiko Lands or "Wicker Islands", how they are called by the people of Southern Santharia.

A Start only!

Places

Icelands Coast is the coldest, most inhospitable area in all of Northern Sarvonia.  It is inhabited by several different tribes.  The more southern ones have more of a foundation, while the most Northerly ones live their life roaming the glaciers trying to survive as they can.

Wastes of Despair

Search Link: See map
Details:
There is rarely a name more fitting to a landscape than the „Wastes of Despair“ to that region south of the Icelands Coast in the  north-east of the Northern Sarvonian continent. Though the soil is fertile in places and plants are fighting to survive it is a „badland“ par excellence. The volcanic activities the whole region is famous for is here the cause for geysers, springs with hot erupting water, which might have acid properties on top. Poisonous vapours  creeping out of the finest crevice  make breathing very hard if not impossible. In-between salt pans give way to treacherous quicksand. But that is not all a traveller weary of life can find there. Depressions are often not only filled with hot or murky water, but with a mixture of oils and other fluids dangerous to any living being.
This would not cause any problems to the people living in the surrounding areas if in this deserted lands would not lie riches of unimaginable dimensions. Through the centuries precious stones and minerals have enticed  many adventurers to risk their live for the chance to get rich fast.

The Town of Barsalon
Referenced by: Talia Sturmwind
Reserved for: Talia Sturmwind
Search Link: See here, east of the Heath of Wilderon, west and closer to the Wastes of Despair
Details:
There are not many towns of this size who are proud of their thieves, murderers and cut-throats. Barsalon with its (30k-60k???) inhabitantsis a city which boasts with its negative reputation. It is feared by every merchant who is forced to travel to it, to use it as station to fill up his resources. But due to its central location in the northeast of Northern Sarvonia and out of historical reasons there is no way to avoid it when business leads you from the Kanapan peninsula to the Icetribes‘ lands, nor is there a way for merchants and their goods to get past it when coming from the west, the Kuglimz territory or even farther from the south, from Santharia. The Stormcloaks never succeeded to build a major dependance in Saeroth. The difficult water currents were blamed for it, but rumours tell that it was the intervention of Barsalon.  But it is not only the trade which lets this town thrive in an inhospitable surrounding. It is the gate to the Wastes of Despair which lie in the east, a region as dangerous and hostile as one can imagine, but with the promise to give away vast riches to those who dare to enter.

Wicker Islands
Referenced by: Minóki Kíuru (Talia)
Reserved for: Minóki Kíuru
Search Link: See Person's Entry of Minóki Kíuru
Details:
The Wicker Islands are an archipelago  around the Three Islands's Bay east of the Icelands' Coast. They are covered with deep snow all the year round. Only in summer the ice between the islands opens and hunting by boat is possible.
In winter the sea between the Wicker Islands and the Icelands Coast is frozen, in spring it opens and allows ships to pass. (---> Remusiat!)

Gathorn Mountains are the known home of the Ice Trolls.  Some are found in the Peninsula of Iol, but this is thier main stronghold. (Undeveloped)

Peninsula of Iol
itself is full of many small villages of tribes that live off the seals and other furred creatures of the area, their small size is due to a lack of resources in the area. (Undeveloped)

Forest of Cantamar is a place considered taboo by the human tribes of the peninsula.  It was once home to a powerful kingdom of light elves.  It rivaled Fa'av'cal'ar in its glory. (Undeveloped)

The Peninsula of Caael'heroth

**Note: Please consult Azhira Elrosse before developing this area**

Tribes

The Kaaer'dár'shín Half-Orcs: The Kaaer'dár'shín is a tribe of half-orcs (technically humans with various degrees of orcen bloodlines). This tribe was originally a part of the Kuglimz tribe and broke off from the main Kuglimz before the Third Sarvonian war of 298 b.S. This large group of Kuglimz, comprised of criminals and exiles, migrated to the north western Sarvonian region of Caael'heroth in the Themed'lon Forest, northwest of the Imlith Mountains along the southwest coast of the Gulf of Oh'Cant'aelwyn.

The Osther-Oc: The  orcish Osther-Oc tribes inhabit the  Northern Sarvonian region of of Caael'heroth and have played a key role in any military conflict fought by the dark elven cities of the north for centuries. The Osther-Oc are  mainly warlords and mercenaries who offer their services to the elven towns for supply, weapons and gold.

Dark Dwarves: (Undeveloped)

Black Gnomes: In Development Discussion

Dark Elves: (Undeveloped)

Other Races/Tribes: Giants/Trolls (Under Development)

Places

Themed'lon Forests: Known throughout the North as the home of the Kaaer’dár’shín half-orcs, the Themed'lon Forests are a territory rich in flora and fauna and steeped in ancient myth. The two forests are composed of two large regions of heavily wooded areas located in the southeastern part of the Northern Sarvonian peninsula of Caael'heroth. These woods are home to the Kaaer’dár’shín tribe and provide the half-orcs with a home, a hunting ground, and a center of worship. The woods' name stems from the Styrásh term "Themanhe'lón" lit. "Fortified Wood"), as it was home in ancient times for the Folkmore elves. Over time, the name was later shortened to "Themed'lon".

The Colony of Eph'denn: The Kaaer'dár'shín Colony of Eph'denn is a large half-orc settlement located north of the Themed'lon Forest in the peninsula of Caael'heroth in Northern Sarvonia. It once served as a military settlement and a labour camp long ago during the Third Sarvonian War. The  Kaaer'dár'shín revolutionist Temejin Tartar led a violent uprising in 1020 a.S. that finally defeated the orc occupation. Today, the fort is now the second largest half-orc settlement, second only to the main colony of Torik itself.

Dark Winds Portal of Osthemangar: A massive tower rumored to have been built by the Dark Dwarves and Black Gnomes as a gateway for the dark armies to invade Sarvonia during the Third Sarvonian War. (Undeveloped)
