I think we should discuss the climate on the whole northern part of not only Sarvomia, but including Cyllahoi. It may be different on the main land, but nevertheless, it affects all in some way, and we can't write different things.

I thought about a map about maritime currents. Could it be, that in summer  a warm current brings agreable temperatures to the north, and I mean with agreable still under zero. There would be still snow everywhere and covering all, but in some tiny spots (with hot springs f.e.), there could  a limited growth be possible.

So, could we say, that this warm current in summer (in winter it would be the oposite, cold currents bringing cold water to the south - and maybe rain to the deserts) opens the water between the main iceland coast and my Islands? And the region to Cyllahoi as well? It would be quite handy, if Curgan's fiercy Icetribes could not cross the ice all year round to get to my place ;)  And I need some more open sea to fish and get my food.

Any other ideas?

Oh without doubt, I thought that we had already decided that the strait would be opened in summer, and the constantly shifting ice would make it much to dangerous to cross during any other time of the year.  It only makes sense that there would be maritime currents, in fact it is rather necessary.  Summer, with the warmer currents would also bring different types of fish, wich could then bring about things such as a festival of such and such fish or crustacean that is in high abundance for one month of the summer.

How about different seasonal winds named after the continents. I realize these would be alot of work for anyone who wanted to do them but here are the winds I'm suggesting.

Akdor Winds
Blow south across Akdor they cool off Akdor western Sarvonia and Nybelmar

Nybelmar Winds
Blow north across Nybelmar they warm up Akdor western Sarvonia and Nybelmar

Aeruillin Winds
Blow north across Aeruillin they warm up Aeruillin, eastern Sarvonia and Cyhalloi

Cyhalloi Winds
Blow south across Aeruillin they cool off Aeruillin, eastern Sarvonia and Cyhalloi

Of course the Aeruillin Winds and the Cyhalloi Winds might also effect Yamalquain to but thats probably something that doesn't need to be brought up till developmant starts on that continent. If done right it could in part atleast explain why Yamalquain hasn't been discovered

That would be an idea, if we would not have such a lot of other winds, dark ones and good ones. I doubt, that the people itself would speak - with exceptions of course, speak of an nybelmar wind. We don't talk of an american wind either - only if Sahara winds carry sand to the  north - but it is not a regular expression.
