I've completed the work on 2 dialogues which will appear very soon in the game. Along with 3 older ones they are already ready for preparation in the LT environment. I assume Humangus won't get bored integrating them...

All those who have the Sorren GDT Editor (sorry for the name) installed, can download the following files as well and thus play the dialogues:

Picture Pack 2 (75 KB)
Master Database (733 KB)

Just unzip the files and put them into the directory of the installation of Sorren GDT (the pictures are new, the master.mdb will replace an existing file).

To Humangus: Ready for preparation would be especially (these two will appear soon in the game, and you'll get the rooms soon which will link to them):

- Andulf Istherin
- Pinn Derkhan

Note on Pinn: The question on Tendrim Kahrlof is indeed already quest related. You have to read the letter first (see thread on "How the adventure could start") to get this one available. So just keep this in mind. More details on quest design will follow later.

Also already done are:

- Hieronmus Kupfdrubus
- King Thar

They live further up north, so they aren't that important yet, though they are done as well. All chars have pictures already as well BTW.

Fixed a few misspellings in the master.mdb and a keyword error in the Andulf Istherin dialogue when he's telling his stories. If you haven't started integrating any of these dialogues yet, Humangus, just download the file again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Will try to finish some of the rooms now so that a complete path is walk and integrateable.

OK Artimidor. I have the master database and I will get the scripts coded as soon as possible. You need just those two dialogues Andulf and Pinn? And spelling errors can be corrected even after the script has been written.

Just a question. Is there any way to be able to edit the entries? Not to change them of course but I want to be able to copy and paste the text directly from the dialogue editor. This will make things faster. Should I change something in the database? Thanks.

Yup, Andulf and Pinn are fine for now, they will be placed in rooms which are already in the making at the beginning of the game.

Hmmm... The editing thing at the master database is not possible at the moment, also you'd always have to press the "Edit" button, which also isn't ideal. Also renaming the database to Santharia.mdb is not to be recommended, cause you could mess up the whole thing accidentally.

Proposal: But I assume all you need is to have is to enter the treeview form with the keywords, click on a word and then copy from the textbox (and the same in the subform with the responses). This would only require me to lock the textbox instead of disabling it completely, then you wouldn't even need to be able to edit, but could mark the text and paste it in.

Would that be enough for you? I need to change the title pic anyway (and all other Sorren references) and the old version had small problems here and there which I've fixed in the meantime. So making a new EXE which covers this issue and makes life easier for you can't hurt:)   - I'll get to it now and will post the new EXE version soon.

Great! Copying and pasting is all I need. Waiting for the new exe.

By the way, I 've been working on the auto-scroll-pause thing which proved to be quite hard but I 'm in a good way. Now I can wrap lines manually on any bitmap image using any type of font. This simply means that if in the future we will need to add say a parchment background and show text on it it will be possible to draw text correctly on it. I also have to change the way options work since now I cannot just add a continue option in the middle of a series of other dialogue options so this must also change.

I 've seen the 'contract' you sent me. I have some additions. I will think about it a little more if you don't mind and email it to you.

Cool thing íf the Autoscroll works:D  Concerning the Autoscroll thingy: There's also a part in the Andulf dialogue as you'll see when he's telling stories you can choose from (story 1, 2, 3). Each of the stories represents a longer text. I've broken the stories up in 3 or 4 parts and gave the player the opportunity to say: "Continue" or "Thanks, I've enough of stories for now".  So you can perhaps make one larger text from the 3/4 story parts and let the Autoscroll handle it - and maybe somehow think of an exist option when reading longer texts (in case you set a flag somewhere that you can exit from reading it all, e.g. when reading books and listening to stories).

Fine with the contract. Good that you have additions to make things clear in advance hopefully:)

Files have been replaced again, but the question remains how long this will last. SMF support will have a look at the security problem.

It has been hacked. The third time in 3 days. I need to replace the changed files again (won't happen before evening) - and then see what the SMF support recommends as a strategy.
