>>I always kinda thought there were many examples of this....ya know, finding dozens of new species in Rain Forests per day....all you would need is for the weed to spread like grass does, and it would naturally stay pretty limited. <<

Grass is very common, I'd say. :)
And you find new species in the Rain Forests everyday because e.g. the Amazonas in one of the few spots on Earth that are not fully explored (on foot) and Rain Forests are one of the most dense ecosystem a scientis can imagine. So I don't think you can say that the new species are very limited in their territory.

Nevertheless, another explanation could be that when this weed is so interesting you would try to cultivate in other areas, too, to increase the production. If the whole uniqueness is because of the materials you use (for your pottery) you have to find a completely new source of this materials to open a new industry somewhere else.

As I said, it just suits better to me!

Well I knew about the dinosaurs, but I didn't know about the grass. So I guess my IQ is at least 50% eh? :lol

Really? Can't be! Weren't a lot of dinosaurs herb eaters? I guess it is very unlikely that there was no grass... (Unless Arti is really stupid...)

BTW: What exactly is this thing you used as your personal pic, Winlok?

NO art grasses are a fairly recent evolutionary pathway

most dinosaurians were herbivirous, yes, and larg in population

however there were many things they could eat.

ferns
tree leaves
shrugs
moss..

and in the late creatasios(misspelled) even a few flowering plants.

see art you are stupid... either that or to used to having things be as they are now.

(had to harras art for my last post for over a week)

:lol

Indeed, as far as I know there was no grass before the endo of the dinosaurs. They mainly ate ferns.

Oh, c'mon, Art isn't stupid....exactly... ;)  No no, he's not stupid, he's really quite smart, I mean, look at his pic in the Team section, isn't that a portrait of an earnest intelligent almost human being??

My personal pic, is a circle that I warped out, and splashed water on it. I've taken it out, one day I will find a picture.

The sig I'm not to crazy about either, it reminds me of a

textified-candycane. <----is that even a word? :lol

Well, on the Arti page you can find a pic of a bunny in shining armor, so I'm not sure if Arti is really human...

And yup: Come on, Winlok - you are more than a button or a textified-candycane (whatever that exactly is...)!

Winlok, the background to the messed up candy cane signature should not be black, but clear. That way it won't look funny on a blue background. If you have Photoshop, it's fairly easy. I should get a photo and signature, though... Will probably work on it soon.

Image was here.

HOW COME IT DIDN'T WORK??? I did correct it???

You need to do a transparent GIF, Stormcrow!

I did, or at least it looked transparent in photoshop... I'll try again. I guess I do have to use a gif, not a jpeg. Correcting...

I don't understand. I keep correcting it, and it looks perfect in Photoshop, even when I add a new layer that's black. But then when I save it as a gif, it looks really wierd. Fuzzy around the edges.

YES! FINALLY! I wonder why it wasn't working. Oh well.

Thanks Stormcrow. I was putting the background as black, because this website is black. In the future, I will make a much better one, and give it an invisible background. So it will show up on all the ezboards, and other forums as well.

Files have been replaced again, but the question remains how long this will last. SMF support will have a look at the security problem.

It has been hacked. The third time in 3 days. I need to replace the changed files again (won't happen before evening) - and then see what the SMF support recommends as a strategy.

Arti, could you maybe take a look at the RPG board? I got a message from my anti-virus program and now I can't access the column on the right with the list of current threads and the shoutbox. Thankies :)
