Okay. I had been using "General Santharian Discussions for other things like pixies, islands, dragons, etc., and would like some of them moved to more appropriate sections. (If possible) "Pixies," and "Pixie Language" should be put under races, "Island/Continent" under geography, and "Dragon Species" under either races or creatures. (Are dragons considered a race? They'll be in the bestiary, right. So they must be beasts. Intelligent beasts. But that's what humans are. Confused....      Best put them under beasts, then.)

Hmmm... My Bestiary book says that the dragon isn't a race, but a beast, and I guess due to the fact that dragons mainly keep to themselves, I wouldn't see them as a race. They are mythical beasts I'd say, so I'd say we leave them in the bestiary for now (where they are currently) until some scientists prove the contrary.

So THAT'S why I've been frantically unable to find any mention of the dragons under the Race section! But couldn't they be a race of mythical beasts?? They have their own tongue and all and there's hundreds of dragons, and they're smart and they even have their own cosmological beginning and they think so therefore they are...a race?? :lol

Hmmm... That's right, on the other hand. But shouldn't we discern somehow between dragons who can speak and those who can't, perhaps? What is a drake? What is a wyvern? Questions over questions...

Art is indeed right. We have the Smauglike dragons, who enjoy speech, intelligence (and a sense for riddles), on the other hand the giant worms that simply are: big animals.

So you might want to divide them in two parts, namely the intelligent version and the animal version, like humans are a race and apes not. I agree with that on Greybark, it talks, is intelligent, and thus a race.

It's a matter of approach, really. biologically - all beasts are races! and some of them are beasts ( even humans sometimes ;)  ) Maybe you'd like to restrict the 'races' section to humanoids only?

Well, as mentioned already elsewhere: The difference between races and beasts is: Are the creatures blessed with the spirit of Avá (according to elven lore)? Dragons are. At least most. Other creatures/animals were created by the Gods and serve mainly to maintain the circle of life.

Anyway, noticed how most of the terminology used is exclusively in terms of mankind as in people? Dragon bigotry! Dragon bigotry! Actually all sorts of non-human bigotry!!! Down with human imperialism! Rise up, my downtrodden mammal friends!! Find your true path as the inheritors of the World!!!!

...ahem, Ace Ventura hysterics aside :)  the last defination seems to fit the Great Dragon Debate as a Responsible and Tax-Paying Santharian race most satisfactorily imho.

of coarse that was untill the SIRS(santharian internal revenues Servive) started hireing dragons of there own, Big ones, now most of the dragons pay there taxes(although they always cheat on them)
