(1593-1640)

Daughter of the famous Empress Yrota Flameseer(1564-1620) Mother of Current Emrpress Kirvosa Flameseer

Born at sea in the Imperial flagship, Shadow Maiden, she spent her early childhood whithin the confines of the imperial palace, she was trained from a quite early age in the ways of the Imperial court(Mostly how not to get into trouble, how not to start wars that will get the gaurds coucil displeased with you, how to know when to shut up and be nice). She lived the perfect life of luxury until she reached the age of 15 at which time, her mother decided to send her on a diplomatic mission to the Goblin nation of orcal, where she stayed in the capital city untill her mothers tragic death, at which time shw was called from the city to claim the thrown.

Due to the surfacing of some diaries from her time spent in orcal it is often diserned that she had fallen in love with a goblinish milkmaid during her stay. Although so names are mentioned, and the diaries are incompleate and baddly damaged(not to mention writen with quite a bit of inprovised shorthand and poor penmanship) it is uncertain what the specifics of the relationship where, or if there had even been a relationship. Most scholars aggree that something ahppened however, due to the fact that Fyra Ruled somewhat halfhartedly, and although taking several bound consorts, never married. From one of these consorts, or possably an unknown lover, was parented her somewhat mischivis daughter Kirvosa.

Allthough her reign was in general blissfully uneventful, a great advantage as she was focusing most of her energy to rebuild the war shattered economy and aid the badly demoralized people. However several Several Important occurances did occur while she had the throne.

1621-Fryra Flameseer ascends to the throne
1623-foodriots near willow run, brought about by a sever drought, as well as higher military useage the privious years
1625-birth of her only daughter, kirvosa
1630-Assasination atempted by several of her persnal gaurds, high ranking officials within the gaurds cuncil are suspected to be involved.no conclusive evidence
1635-food imports become lessnessisary, but still prevelent, due to higher yeilds of domestic crops and livestock
1639-empress falls ill and dies

Her reign came to an end in the mid winter of the year 1639 due to a sever case of pnuemonia, resulting in her death and the ascention of her daughter to the throne.

What's a glblinish milkmaid???

By the way, it's spelt as 'throne', not 'thrown'. Thrown is to have flung something away ;)    Like your spelling :lol   Sorry, sorry, I couldn't help it....!

Is "goblinish" the right word or "goblish" for something belonging to a goblin?

BTW: How about some details what important things happened during the Empresses reign?

Can't be. There's always happening something during one's reign!!

When her Mom lead R'unor in a terrible war (the war?) you might assume that her daughter's reign was souneventful because she had to rebuild the country again (even without major destruction the economy should've been beaten up and many people died in the war, supply problems, high taxes, barren lands, many wounded), so she might stand out because she reestablished the R'unorian economy after that and was more peaceful towards R'unor's neighbors? (would fit to the conspiracy of her personal guards).

Something like that might be a good addition...

Thanx a bunch, oh and before I start in her mother we'll need to start work on that little war of ours.

The first description should be rather general as Nybelmar is not fleshed out, yet, so there shouldn't be too many local details.

I'm currently looking for ways how the Aca-Santerran navy might have fought against your flying beetle riders and airships and so on. Nasty little beetle.. :)
Some kind of projectile that sprays some kind of acid into the air wounding the bettles or something like that was my idea together with normal ballistas, catapults and heavy crossbows able to break the beetles armor.

But I hope we have some time left for details! ;)

okay... here is a list of the higher tech end weapons of r'unor.(and the interesting mounts) with a suggested countermeasure

Firelance machine
pray... theres only one working so it will be pretty rare for its deployment.

Lurker Riders
Nets might be good... try and aim for the rider not the beetle, poison gas if you can deploy it without whipeing yourselves out

Bleeding death plauge
Natural disease, mst R'unorians have some imunity and have been cultivating larg storehouses of rotting meat with the stuff, just burn any corpses and you'll be fine. DO NOT TOUCH THE DEAD.

Airships:
Although sometimes crewed with crossbowmen its nrmally just an observation and command vessle... sometimes larg explosive cannesters are loped over the side... if you can punture the baloon your home free.

Levelers:
they have very limited mobility and have to be dismanteled and reassembled at every point of use... the work similar to the clay pigion launches used for rifle pratice, exept much larger and with bladed disks. just catch them in transit and/or get them up close, be warned they useualy have pretty heafty gaurds.

thats the only stuff to far away from regular mideval capabilities. you probly have advantages in supplies and a good 10 to 1 ratio on warriors.

Good, feared that Airships and Riders might be somewhat too powerful.

Against the riders some kind of bolt that explodes and throws a cloud of burning oil perls into the enemy might be a good thing to fight off Lurkers (wounding them and or killing the rider).

For the rest the 10:1 ratio should be enough! ;)

I think the whole thing should be more some kind of island campaign. Only few land battles on Nybelmar itsself and perhaps nowhere near anybodies mainlands?

The rest might be discussed in another thread to keep on-topic! :)
