Kan'Thral is the main pixie extablishment. (Might want to review Island/Continent in General Santharian Discussions) It is actually very small on the map, but is actually quite large once you enter it. around the island there is a zone of gradual shrinking, and once you go through it, you are the size of a pixie. If another creauture wanted to come through, they would also change to the size of a pixie. (If they were sentient and human-like.) Pixies, Fairies, and Sprites do not change at all. As of this time, I am creating a map of Kan'Thral, and am working on symbols for towns of the different types of Pixies.

Also, I need a name for Pixies, Fairies, and Sprites colectively. Currently, they are all called Flits, but I'll continue calling them pixies until the idea catches on. But, "Flits" sounds like it's missing something, so an alteration of the name, or an addition would be gratefully accepted and reviewed to see if it fits. (Most likely a descriptive word with some race signifier tacked onto the end of it. Examples are fliers, crawlers, bluians, etc.;) )

Thanks for reviewing this!

Pixies, Fairies and Sprites could be summarized under the term "Fey Folk" if I'm not completely wrong here (one of my Bestiary books says so), this would be the general term.

Your description sounds like if the fairy isles should be somewhere near the Etherial Void (see Compendium entry) - a very magical place at the end(s) of the world.

I agree with the Etherial Void location. What about the North, up in Cyanolli?One of the isles could be theirs. This would also make the outside world bleak and frozen, while pixieland has a continual springtime :)

So people shrink when they go there? What about Brownies?

Relations between pixies and Brownies. I would think the Brownies would have no real problems with pixies, but perhaps the pixies would see the Brownies as unevolved and relatively unmagical?

Near Cyhalloi may be ok (NE), possible would also be near Nybelmar (far W) where it is not so cold. At least the Etherial Void is everywhere at the borders of the world.

*hehe* If Brownies also shrink they might indeed have a problem...

No. Brownies would not shrink. "Change to the size of a pixie."

Fey Folk. Now that sounds interesting. Perhaps a difference in the name a bit, switch a few sounds around. I'd need an easier name to call them by, becuase saying "Fey Folk" every time you mention pixies and sprites seems awfully primitive.(P.S. All of the names would have to be what other creatures call pixies, because it would be awfully hard to imitate a word like "Pixie" in a musical language. Also, pixies might have a hard time understanding other creatures. Maybe they can't tell the difference in pronunciation without practice. (Much the same as Japanese have trouble distinguishing "n" from "m.":) )

Second, "Flits" may be a derogatory term for pixies. I also like the idea of SOME pixies looking down on Brownies. Perhaps some Brownies also look down on fairies for their prejudice. Lovely, hippocritical.

This can work.....different people doing different things in a society, different people with different prejudices....more realistic.....

Maybe "Phy" or "Fy" or something like this? Sounds still mythical, I guess...

Phy sounds good, but what about plural form? Phyen? Possibly Phien for plural? That sounds good... Any other ideas?

phy=singular
phy=plural

or not, your choice just seem in a pointless advice stage right now.

Only problem is, Phy doesn't sound too much like plural. Of course it would work, but it doesn't seem to have the flow that Phien does. "A few Phy." ???

Your decision, Stormcrow:)  "Phien" - or perhaps "Phyen" with the stress on the 'e' - also sounds fine to me.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
