geez Arti, sorry I asked... I'll email you or something what I had in mind for the storyline of the story, see whether it's faesible or not... if not there is no point me writing the story and having "No cant use it, its crap" thrown back at me.
*sigh* looks like this is a lost cause though...

No such thing should happen. All you have to do is this.

You need a lot more of actual writing experience here, which shows e.g. at works of Dalá, Wren, Lucirina etc.

Read their entries and you will get a better feel of what to do. :)

Aylix, you did ask for feedback.  That is the purpose of having a writing forum (and moderators) in the first place.

Writing ability comes in all levels, and it is never pleasant to have to tell someone that their contribution needs work, or needs editing, or doesn't 'measure up'.  But the word 'crap' wasn't used - and both Art and Winlok were more tactful than you might have found me, had I had the time to go over your story paragraph by paragraph.

Writing is never wasted. But not all writing is good writing, or readable writing, or even writing that needs to be shared with others.   If you take feedback and editing and learn from it, and study what other successful writers and published authors have done, you WILL learn, and you will improve, each time you drag something up from the depths of your creativity.   Every time you put down a sentence, and then examine it and think about why you chose those words and those expressions - every time you visualize a character and make him or her come to life in simple black and white letters - every time a line of dialog touches a reader and makes them believe....

The Dream has standards, guidelines, formats, and moderators for a reason - to ensure that we have original, high-quality work in every medium that is submitted.

I've had pictures turned down - and every artwork is a little piece of me - so I know that it feels like a personal rejection when your creative offering is judged and found wanting.  But with each effort the creative muscle is flexed and strengthened.  Keep on writing, even if you don't submit it anywhere.  Keep on drawing, sketching, trying new mediums, pushing your limits. Keep on dreaming - and learning how to make your dreams come true.

Regards from the bard,
Judith

I guess we also should consider the idea of establishing some sort of "Santharian Council of Elders" for certain decisons. I'm not God, Mr. Big Dictator or someone who knows everything better than the rest and just says "this is fine" and "this is not fine enough yet". At certain webdesign decisions it is important to make them fast and efficiently (though probably not to everyone's liking), but sometimes I guess decisions we do together would be good to have.

Aylix, your story seems to be more pertaining to your own character. One could place your story anywhere, in any RPG, and it would be perfectly fine there. Santharian stories, those up on the site, are firmly sown into the material of the dream. You couldn't take Katya Dragon seeker or Last of the Axhái or Like the WInd and throw them into any RPG. People would wonder about this Voldar city and the Thaelon Forest, about the things mentioned. I know for sure that my story would confuse all kinds of people, asking who in God's name Seyella is, about the animals and plants I mention throughout.

My suggestion is to hold back on your story a while. Do some development work in the area of plants and animals, perferably things you can integrate into your story to make it better. Get yourself familiar with the World this takes place in before you try to make a story for it.

Just my opinion. I wish you good luck.

The magic on you is only magic and will vanish as soon as you are free, but the enchantment of error that you put on me I must wear forever in your eyes. Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
