Caldain and Ereth!
A bit fonder of Ereth myself...
and the classic Aerichan.

What about "Calereth"? To have  "reth", "cal" and Vir "the Birthdaygirl" esse's Ereth together? ;)

Like Ereth, too. Could be short version of Calereth...

my prob with Caelroth is the stated similarity to that peninsula.

Quick response to Koldar: You're thinking of Astaroth. Azeroth, admittedly, does sound very inspired by her/him/whatever sex It is as it wishes, though.

Caldain.. Chaldean... I like this one.
Arichen... Aer'ai'chan... why do all the good-sounding combinations have to be taken?

Kromana... nope, more barbarian-ish.

Veniar... Nice arctic-sounding kingdom, but no.

Denaru... just doesn't work.

Chanai. Two syllables, nicely elven-based... but it doesn't have the same ring at all.

Ereth I dislike.

Vápnorthe... this one I love. Problem is that, like Veniar, it sounds more arctic. Wonder why?

Koldar's proposal sounds interesting "Calereth", but having an "ae" would look better, so I thought about "Caelereth". On the other hand this one syllable removes a bit from this straight-forward 2-syllable impression. How about changing the ending for example to something like...

Caelreth, Caelrath, Caelrash

(just found out that the Wing Commander guys must have had similar thought when creating the war-race of the Kilrah space cats...;) )

Caelrath is nice... but not entirely sure where that comes from. And is this going to Change the world?
*thinks*
I personally just think it'd be safer to name it Aerichan. But I'm a... weirdo, I guess.

In German it is written in a variation that way, I guess. We have no "th" or stuff, you know...

I think we should narrow the direction we're heading. E.g. should we say "Cal" or "Cael" should be in it as reference to elvish "land"?

Yup, I think "Cael" could be a derivation of "Cal", still meaning "land" in a way.

Uhmmm... Caleraeth  and your pronounciation cal-ray-eth don't fit together, or? Seem to have forgotten/misplaced something here, Viresse.

BTW: We can also think of shortening Aér'aí'chán to Aerchán or something at the same time we replace the Sorren name so that people can write and pronounce it easier. Aér'aí'chán could still be used as an archaic form e.g. in the Cárpa'dosía.

Caleraeth could be pronounced   "KAL - er - rayth"

very euphonious, although losing that two-syllable strength.

Caelrathe would give us     "KAL- wrath"  or   "KAL- rayth"

both of which I like quite a bit.

And hey, let's have fun with the C and A sounds!  Calcaith / Calrath / Caelraythe / Calcaythe as other possible variants?

Hmmm... decision is difficult... However, we need to have the name until this Saturday. Update will be next Monday, because I will turn the whole site structure upside down during the week already and then change the name at all pages, which means the whole site will be uploaded completely anew. Can last several hours till up to a day. During this time you won't be able to access the site.

So in short: The uploading of the next site update depends on deciding about the name. Now how we're going to find the final name?

Can we e.g. decide that we want to have a "Cal" or "Cael" part?

Oh, BTW: Another name I personally liked very much as it has a lot of expression was "Lorderon". This ending would also be possible to combine so that we'd have

Caeleron or Calaeron

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
