Merrrf... well I got to take things easy unfortunatly.. the expenses of next years will be quite a strain of my already undermined economy ( what economy? wake up and smell the unemployment Luci!!! *sigh* )

Maybe I´ll meet up for the 10 year aniversary if we organize a reunion then
Unless some rich Santharian would pay for the trip.

Err there's one flaw in this.

That's sooo goning to require me to get on a plane. And I HATE planes!

And for anyone with a remote interest, I'm in Belgium 7th -10th of November (I think). But I suspect the only person within 100 miles of that is Fauger, and he's not in the country at the time.....

Lucirina: Well, first it would be good to have an estimation on how much flights there and back again (from Canada then I assume) would cost, then we'll see what could be done about it.

Wren: Well, if you don't like flying, you can still cross the channel via hovercraft e.g. and continue by train;)  If you manage to get to Belgium, I'm sure you could get to Germany as well;)

Wren - you still have the tunnel as option, remember? so you dont really have to go with an airplane. You could come with Fred (I know we all would like to meet this guy you love so dearly ;)  ) or even take a bus. OR a ferry (did I spell it correctly?)

you are sure about that 7th -10th? Im coming back the 8th novemeber. Where in Belgium if I may ask? and are you going to fly there?

Germany for me is a hop skip and a jump away.  Could probably drive there in about 20 minutes. :biggrin
(well you know the autobahn, anyone driving under 200 KPH is sleeping) :rollin

Okay, was just kidding.  But Germany isn't that far away from here.

And where do you live, Thuja?

Anyway, Landshut is definitely not too far from here. By train it'd take less than six hours I think. I have an aunt who lives near Munich, so I traveled near there before.

Wow, I feel so out of the loop.  I really must go and live in Europe for some time.  Visiting was great, but I think that I would get a much better experiance living there.

Also, so many of our members seem to be from there.  Perhaps Europeans are more imaginative?  Or maybe they are more fantasy oriented?  Hmmm....

BTW: I propose we'll make an own thread later dealing with who can come to the meeting and afford it etc., so that we can start planning.

However, this thread was meant for the 5th Anniversary, which is already very soon, and we're still seeking ideas in this respect.

For example I plan to put up some sort of "Did you know?" page, where interesting small tidbits of perhaps unknown Santharian information can be put. E.g. Did you know when and where the name "Santharia" first entered the mind of your webmaster? What was the original concept of the world? If you have something interesting and/or funny to share, I'd be happy to collect some things in this respect. Pics, poems, stories, whatever are also very welcome!

I don't know about having much to add to the tidbit section, but I am working on something for the Ode to Santharia, How I found My Way, Oh I Love This Place, etc.

Sounds fine, Silfer & Drogo:)

BTW: Also had the chance to talk with Dalá on ICQ today now that she's done with her exams - and she also looks forward to come to the 2005 meeting... She's already starting to save some money for the big medieval party;)

*pokes*

Yeah, we need some things planned more clearly... I could imagine that Talia for example could give a short account on how she found the site and what kept her here - she has a nice story to tell:)   How about it, Talia?

And Drogo surely also has a story to tell being the one who disappeared and reappeared the most often...

Maybe if someone would like to do a nostagic look back you canould think back on what entries you did at the beginning, and how things progressed from there etc. Just a litltle something from various member's point of view would be funny.

Maybe someone could also give a short account of the Level Ecstasy thread to show what strange things can happen here at the Forums, simply to get over the "Goblin Milkmaid" level...

There's just a bit of imagination required! :hammer

"Yes, ye,s now do be patient mr. Federkiel! I am working on many things, some of those you mentioned. Of course, they are all my POV, so nothing is taken." Looking annoyed, I return to my corner, sheltered form eyes and ears. ;)

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
