Just wanted to show you how the close-ups of Nyermersys look like (including street-names and such). Here's a picture of the old city Koldar mailed me:



It's perfect, Koldar, so I don't have anything to say about things which should be changed. It will still last a while till I will put up the first close-up to the site as I'll have to work on a final layout/concept of presenting the whole map during the next week (Nyermersys CoA required too for final adjustments). As for now I'll integrate the overall map of Nyermersys, but stay tuned for updates.

I also had the idea a while ago to set up some sort of role playing game in the streets of Nyermersys whenever we have finished the whole map, so this would perhaps be a possibility. Mayhaps in combination with Gean's inn? But first things first. Stay tuned.

Before I forget to mention that I like the closeup muchly (read Cool, wow, fantastic, incredible etc) as well besides the big map, the tavern will be located in Strata for some particular reasons I won't mention before there's some real text to show.

Ah, I see. Well, I just wanted to mention that we perhaps can use the town map somewhere for RPGing too like other RPG sites do, which construct RPGs around buildings and places.

Koldar, do you have anything in mind for Nermersys as far as rpg goes?  Or it's current state of politics, rivalries, guilds, etc.?  Whatever you have could you e-mail it to me at Drogo_@hotmail.com  I would like to discuss with you setting it up as a rpg area, and different possibilites for it.

Well, in general it was my idea to set up something for the RPG in Nyermersys, and it's not more than the idea currently. Would all need some deeper thoughts...

Here's what I altready told Drogo about it:

The defenses don't strike smugglers who would just open ways via the mainroutes of trade by persuading Guards to look the other way and so on.
The harbor and the southern gates are the most used.  Sewers would most possibly end in the harbor.

Military: hmmm.. I wouldn't try to get between Queprur's Hightemple and the Citywall. It's a hillside and having the templeguards in the back wouldn't help much. The High Temple is a fortress on its very own...
I finished the central districts today, so summing up:
-The Fortress of Ah'tamaen holds the northern bridgehead housing possibly about 1000-2000 men from the Order of the Fallen.
-The Castle and the Old City sit on the top of plateau and is the oldest part of Nyermersys. Its walls and Bastions grew bigger and bigger over time. Another 600-1000 men.
-The Southern City is the youngest part and in its central the Townguard holds its garrison (Let's say 300 men). The walls here were devastated in the thirs Sarvonian War and are still the weakest. The Southern Wall is the only one with an open field in its front (the others sit along hillsides). That would be the logical point to break in.

In the whole Nyermersys was built to be a Fortress, the southern part is only an addition and expendable (the Old City would be the refugee camp and sitting on a hill hard to attack. The castle would be last resort. Several districts were divided between each other by even more walls, so I would say military an attack against Nyermersys would be no fun.
