*grin* Behold the barbarian or he's gonna cut your heads off! A sword and a battle axe together can be quite dangerous for harmless forum visitors - and one never knows what a barbarian is up to...

BTW: For a start I could of course add a note on your team info page telling the public that you're selling pictures too. Is there a special link I could put there or any other text you'd wish me to put up? - I already planned about creating a menu called "Santharian galleries" where all the pictures of every single artist (sorted by artists name) can be viewed. This way visitors who are mainly interested in fantasy pictures won't have to search through the whole page to find them...

And of course I would also recommend to tell the people at your Elfwood page at your general description that you're selling pictures too or do commissions - in case you haven't done so already.

After seeing how realistic wolverine looks, and realizing how talented a person is working on Greybark/Ookpik...
Some ideas....
1. When I first thought of Brownies in general and Greybark in particular, for some reason the face of a friend of mine kept coming to mind...looking at the pictures of last Chinese New Year, I was fascinated by how angular his face was, and decided that that kind of angularness should be standard for Brownies. So here's the picture that inspired me, together with his family (some of them). He's the one in black on the left. http://www.geocities.com/mikonet/newstuff/eat.jpg
2. You know how Brownie eyes match their skin and hair(in this case a dark grey or silver)? I kinda think of the irises as being a bit bigger, with the white of the eye not really showing, with no distinct pupil, sort of like horses eyes.
3. He's not cold? maybe some more clothes? mouseskin isn't in short supply. Temperature in the main part of the vale gets hot but not too hot in summer, because of the shade of the trees, maybe a bit muggy; no more than light snow and frost normally in winter....roughly similar to Washington DC area, maybe?
4. the size thing....maybe a half to 2/3 the present size

Anyway just some ideas...hope I haven't added to the stress in your life too much :) Let me know what you think :)
Also, I'm curious...how big is the original?

Greybark,
Please take a look at this sketch I did at work (shhhhh...don't tell 'em) and let me know if this is close at all to what you had in mind. I would like to get this to look as close as possible to your vision of a Brownie, so please offer any suggestions that you want to and I can try to alter it again.

Thanks

Very close to what I was thinking. Great hairstyle too! :) Could we maybe get rid of the receeding hairline? Otherwise, I think we've got a winner! Thank you so much!
By the way, the reason I never said anything about the owl is that it was perfect from the start...no way that I can see to improve on it :)

Really great work, Dan - compliments from me too:)  I enjoyed the picture from the very first glance! The hearty laugh and the dark eyes somehow fit together perfectly - and the hairstyle of course is very Brownie-like too=)

Not much to do at work, huh? *hehehe*

BTW: I've edited your entry in order to make the picture-link work properly. Either you forgot a " somewhere or you didn't check the HTML-box at the Posting Options (don't know what exactly, as I tried several times to get it right). HTML only works properly if the HTML-box is checked, however you then cannot use any emoticons in the posting...

Greybark,
I am glad that this sketch is close to what you had in mind. Sorry about the receeding hair line, LOL, I didn't do it intentionally. I will send him to the hair club for Brownies before I do the final rendering.
Hey Art,
Is that what that little square box at the bottom of the post is for? I am embarassed to admit that I did not even see it there. Thanks for fixing it for me and I am glad that you liked the sketch also.

*Greybark runs off to Ye Olde Xerox Shoppe in the basement of Aragorn's Art Museum and Collectibles and runs off a few copies of the soon-to-be portrait to mail to his relatives*

Yup, that's what those checkboxes are there for, Dan:)  When you paste HTML code you should check the box, as well as the "Convert URL Links" when you post an URL - this will make the URL clickable, otherwise it is just plain text.

On the other hand you can also use the so-called EzCodes in case e.g. you currently don't remember the proper HTML-code for posting an image. With EzCodes you can do all things you can do with HTML (e.g. making text bold) - just click on the "Use Emoticons" link left of the comment-box when you're replying to something and you'll see what code you need. Of course the "Ezcodes"-checkbox should be checked then. By using the preview option and the edit option after posting you can always adjust unwanted results easily;)

And as ezBoard is constantly improving things I also can recommend the "Email me notification of all replies to this topic"-checkbox. And of course the "Include custom signature" (see pictures below) or "Include personal photo" (Artimidor drawing at the left) are also pretty neat... - How about a little self-portrait which could be used in this place, Aragorn? Probably with some receeding hair? *hahahaha*

*hehe* But doesn't it look cute? Well, I can only hope that Aragorn will find some time to finish Greybark and his owl during Christmas holidays. The Brownie is the only picture we're still lacking currently for the Races section. BTW: If added final details to the Orcs entry today, so this section seems to be quite complete (for now)...

Now moving to the Gods... Currently working on integrating Queprur...

I still need to give some depth to the Drasil. I have a couple more ideas for races floating around in my head, but I don't want to write anything about them until the idea is ready....
But they all have pictures! And it looks really good! If only Greybark could join them soon!

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
