EFRANDIS. Magical blade once wielded by its creator, Tris. A powerful wizard, Tris was the maker of many magical weapons, many of which were sold. Some of those are still wielded by descendants of the original owners. It has three blades, said to be used by those with great strength to flip opponent’s weapons out of their hands. It is perfectly sharp and impossible to dull or break without a very powerful magic force and very powerful suppression runes. One set of runes reveals the sword’s name, but in an older rune style than currently exists. The other runes on it, whether on the surface or written on one of the many layers while being forged, give the sword special powers. These can only be used by one who is able to use them and has the sword by rightful means. The sword is currently held by one of Tris’ few descendants, Elm Treeseeker. It is said that whoever holds the sword will be unvanquishable by strength alone, and that only a magically aided individual may conquer its power. These words were carved upon the mithril out of which the sword was carved, and inhabit every fragment of its essence. Also, if somehow the sword was overcome and was broken, a person would only need to visit the ground where the sword had been forged for it to be renewed. Almost every Santharian has heard of the legendary sword, and those few who haven’t are wither illiterate or very ignorant.

Here it is. The rough draft on Efrandis, the legendary sword forged by the Runemaster Tris.

Ideas please!

Three blades? How does this work?

But in general I like this concept far more than the _currently_ nuclear- bomb-fury-swords. It's more mystical so to speak.
But always watch out that there's some balance in this weapons as magical weapons often sound illogically or a way too strong in context with the normal ones. You  just think, how can this thing be the soley one when it is that good!

At least I think that way... ;)

Very good to have some more artifacts so that we can set up the desired artifacts section sooner or later. As you say that it's a draft only, perhaps you can still add a few more details here and there? I always recommend to add places and historical events to things and persons, e.g. you could try to go in more detail where the wizard comes from, why he made the weapon, and how the blade e.g. influenced history etc.

I've been trying to write an entry about Tris, but have developed a bit of writer's block. And, all of these weapons can be stopped by normal ones, but they are a bit more powerful than others. Efrandir is a bit more normal, though. (There's only one of each of the Fury Swords, and I added a response to tone them down a bit. Even I admit that I got quite carried away with them.) Still, magic-users should be more powerful than non-magic users, all other things being equal.

There is an idea that most people could be able to use magic in small amounts, but mages are the ones with very strong power. This would make the Fury Swords even more blockable.

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.
