THE AERELIAN LAKES

Theme Description: The Aerelian Lakes, located in the Vardýnn Province of Santharia, are made up of six separate lakes: Saléstra, Aelignós, Evhodín, Melágria, Rhélean, and Codáth. Nestled just south of the Aurora Fields, the lakes are famous for their sapphire-blue colouration, but for the villagers that depend on them and their resources for survival, they serve as more than just a beautiful view: the lakes provide water and food, as well as a temperate climate with gentle seasons that facilitates fertile growth in the nearby Aurorian Hills.

THE ASHZ-OC ORCS ("NOBLE ORCS")

Theme Description: The orcish tribe known as the Ashz-Oc ("Noble Orcs") live in the southern hills and valleys of the Prominent Mountains in Northern Sarvonia. They're famous for their military strength and their skills in combat, but also for their strong steel and dyed clothes. Although most other races see orcs as hostile monsters, the Ashz-oc became known as honourable and worthy enemies despite many raids that were caused by clans from their lands. Most of them are not interested in conquering more lands, but defending what they believe is rightfully their home since they crossed the mountains.

THE BAYCH GROVE

Theme Description: Baych Trees are fairly common trees in Santharia. East of the Mithral Mountains, near Nepris, one of the oldest baych tree groves can be found. In the memory of the villagers of Nepris, this grove of baych trees has always existed. The grey boles stand tall, mighty, but nevertheless slender. High above a canopy of pale styruine-green leaves allows a little sunlight to penetrate and to send single rays of light to the ground. The whole ground is covered with a thick layer of silken moss, as are the stones, large and small. Here and there patches of a luminescent moss are growing in darker areas under boulders and thick roots. This is the last detail to give you the feeling of being transferred into another world; it is silent in here, all noise and stress seem to vanish into the soft moss.

THE YLFFERHIM ELVES

Theme Description: The Ylfferhim are a small and isolated group of elves that dwell in the Quallian Forest. Decended from - as they believe - the Astyrhim, they are actually very closely related to the Quaelhoirhim at the nearby Zeiphyrian Forests and relations between the two tribes are close, if sometimes a little strained. The Ylfferhim prize peace above all things and play a very little part in Sarvonian history. The autonomous government remains entirely neutral on almost all issues. Only currently are these elves starting to make contact with the outside world. The little animal the elf is looking at is a forest twotail.

THE ARRYI FLOWER

Theme Description: The Arryi, or Purple Lantern can be found in arid to half arid landscapes, as e.g. the Aj’nuvic Grounds. It is known to survive under freezing conditions and it is considered a good omen to see the Arryi in winter, the purple flowers appearing like stars in the white nothingness.

THE FALSEROCK LIZARD

Theme Description: The Falserock-Lizard or Draard‘le is, though only a small animal of up to three handspans size and only found in abundance in some parts of the Ráhaz-Dáth, possibly the most hotly discussed beast of its size. Many of the known animal and especially versified lizard researcher state that it is just a small lizard, despite its wings, whereas the famous researchers Aini Siuu and Lutius Strongleg and with them most common people say that one must be blind to not to see, that it is a miniature dragon. There are arguments for both sides and obviously more research is needed to clarify the true nature of this beast.

THE KRRROA'HAXPATTL MONSTER
Theme Description: The Krrroa'haxpattl is one of the most feared beasts of the Northern seas of Caelereth, but one of the most fascinating and strange at the same time. It is often described as a gargantuan, black mass with no fixed form with a forest of tentacles. Actually it is not very ferocious, except in certain circumstances. It is not its enormous size which frightens the people, but it is said that looking at it causes horror in the bravest man or woman, though this can not be explained with its sheer appearance alone.

THE TEARFROST FLOWER

Theme Description: Extreme cold and powerful gusts of mountain blizzards do not harm this beautiful plant, which grows in the hostile environment in the far North. Ihea Miwone, the well-known snow drake researcher, discovered these wondrous plants during her journey to the island of Kalta'Goor. Snow white coloured stalks and multi-hued blooms of blue and purple pedals are reach out to the frosty sky. Once a year, the flower produces a "fruit", which is a tiny crystalline bulb that resembles a tear, hence the plant's name.
