Hello! Thank you to the developers for your hard work. I played many of the games, Nepris was especially interesting. But I was never able to open the cupboard with the bird code. At some point I just gave up, sadly. It would have been nice to see the ending. With some of the games I made Let's Plays/ Let's Reads on Youtube. I hope that's OK.

Hello there, Ferra!
Yeah, I've noticed you putting up your Let's Play/Read series on YouTube - very much appreciated! I guess we should add links at our main Santhworld page to these videos, so that people can get a taste of the whole thing by just watching. Great to see you making them! Now Nepris would be still great to have with all the fights, magic and stuff, but that would be a veeeery long video...
Anyway, speaking about Nepris: If you're stuck you can always ask around at the Forum (see link at main Santhworld page) to get hints in order to solve a puzzle. Methinks you're already pretty far - and it would be a pity if you stop there. A bunch of surprises lie still ahead!

Hello and thank you for the reply. I'll try the forums next time!
I'm glad that you liked the LPs. Not sure if they are much of a help. Personally I like listening to LPs more than watching them. So I made those videos for people to listen to. Since they are quite story-driven I hope they don't spoiler the gaming experience too much. Then again there are many different endings, so that's one incentive to play the games "yourself".

Hello Art, I hope you are doing well. It looks as tho the world is still thriving. I was a little saddened when I tried to log on and it said my user name did not exist. I know its been awhile but I do pop in from time to time to see how the world is doing. Can you help me out with this?

I happened upon this site very unexpectedly. It's nostalgic, though I have never seen this place. I am about to look through the lore. I have been wanting to develop a new generic system for table top role playing. Table top is making a huge resurgence.
On top of all of that, It would be wonderful for this site to reignite as it were.

Hi Art and everyone. This is Capher. The old dragon is still alive and well. I see the site is also alive and seems to be moving along. I am not sure how many will remember me but I know Art will. I probably gave him more headaches and fits than he would care to remember when I was writing on here. I also enjoyed the Role Playing area tremendously I had great times with some players Like Talia and others that I cannot recall right now. I wonder if some of the older developers and role playing members are still around? Anyway, Art I applaud you and your team for still keeping the Dream alive. I will drop in again sometime my friends The old dragon is still keeping an eye on this world!

Frankly, this website doesn't seem as active as it may have once been. Verily, it interests me to see how many people have, contributed(even slightly), and gone. Therefore, then, I ask: Is this website very active? Or is it kind of a shadow of what it once was? I mean no offense in asking this, and I am appreciative of much of the site, regardless.
Artimidor Friday, 26 June 2015 05:44
Hello John!
Well, yep, the site isn't as active as it once had been. Actually it's pretty inactive to be precise... Indeed there was lots of activity in the olden days, so to see a list of former contributors I recommend to check the Team menu. Several reasons for that development: For example that various key members took time off to tend to their private lives (which is understandable), that search engines punish sites with frame design (as they are not compatible for portables and changing a 4000+ pages site means a heavy workload) and that a huge site like this cannot be maintained by just a few people (there's a practical limit on how much a webmaster can do). Well, this is all due to the circumstance that Santharia has always been a non-profit, spare time project, and the fact that it thrived for about 15 years is quite remarkable at any rate, I'd say. So yeah, give it some slack... The situation is unlikely to change however, but nevertheless: There's at least enough content to keep a couple of role players and fantasy enthusiasts happy out there methinks. So enjoy while it's there!

Hello! I am new to this website and I would love to contribute! But I need an answer before I can contribute, can anyone post lore entries or anything that would add to the world, or do you have to make a huge account application?
Artimidor Friday, 8 May 2015 17:25
Hello there, Dick!
Well, you don't need to make a "huge account application", basically you should register at the Dev Forum and post in the Joining Request section. Maybe put an idea or two you have already and we then can discuss there where you might fit in and how to progress from there etc.

I edit the newsletter of a local chapter of the Chicago Recorder Society, and happened upon your description of the Krumhorn Beast online. I would like permission to reprint the image of the Krumhorn beast and quote from your web page in our newsletter. We distribute about 120 copies for free; we are a not-for-profit, and don't sell anything, including advertising in our newsletter.
Thank you
Mark

Hello there, Mark!
Yep, I've just asked the artist who drew the picture, and it's perfectly fine to use it for your purposes Apparently a "crumhorn" is also a musical instrument - fascinating. Anyway, go ahead, maybe put something next to it like "Image drawn by Bradly Van Camp, used with friendly permission from www.santharia.com". - That said: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
