Appearance. Althz'onn is the name used in the Celeste areas as a general term for all plants that grow an edible bean. As a general term, there are several different types, though only one is actively cultivated to any extent.

• Onn (Bean)
  This is a member of the Alth’sieu family. The bean itself is about three finger lengths high on average, and a finger width in girth. Several of the Sieu grow from a common root, and have long cylindrical shapes that end in a dull point. The bean is somewhat hard to the touch, and the coloring is a light green, though with cooking it softens and the coloring darkens. If sliced in half one would notice a channel that runs through the meaty part of the bean. This meatier part is slightly lighter in coloring then the outside of the bean. The channel is used to carry nutrients throughout the bean, also contained in the channel are soft dark yellow seeds.

• Onn’miev (White Bean)
  This is another of the stalk bean plants. The actual bean is small and circular in design with a white coloration. It is thought to only be associated with the bean family due to its starchy makeup. The bean is often mistaken for a small berry due to its shape and the stalk off of which it can be found. This stalk can grow to be a full ped in height. The leaves are spade shaped and cluster around each bean so as to nearly hide it.

• Onn’garg (Red Bean)
  An edible bean that actually grows underground. Thought of as more of a nuisance than a food source by the local farmers, as this kidney shaped red bean grows on a thick underground network of roots. The main center of the roots are thick and hard, while as the network expands the roots soon beome thin and soft.

Territory. These three bean plants are found throughout the Celeste lowlands and the nearby plains. It is thought that they must also reside in other areas of the world, though they would most certainly have different names, but this supposition couldn't be confirmed so far.

Usages. The Seiu is actually cultivated by the Gerak Kuglim as a food source. It is then used in stews and other dishes to complement the usual meat dish. The Seiu’miev are interestingly enough a favorite food source of the large ulgaroth. The Seiu’garg have no use, or at least the people of this region do not use them for anything.
