It is not known when the Shendar come first to the Narfost Plain. As long as they can think back they visit it during the spring when the young aj‘nuvics are ready for bonding and looking for a mate. Meh'met is a very old small Shendar settlement as well, its founding date is unclear, but it is surely older than Thaehavos, the later Bardavos.
Thaehavos is besieged by a small contingent of elves emerging from the forests located in the north. Messengers coming from Thaehavos reach Strata begging for aid in their situation. Strata recognizes the threat of the elven forces and sends out an army in the direction of Thaehavos. The town is saved and the elves are forced to retreat to the Sharadon Forests by the combined armies of Thaehavos and Strata.
The Kingdom of Stratania is founded consisting of the city states of Strata, Thaehavos, Varcopas and the lands surrounding the cities. Uderza and Rahmat remain Shendar cities, while Thalambath decides to remain independent. The Tristin of Strata holds the power over the Stratanian kingdom. A council is formed and placed in Strata which forms the capital of the kingdom.
After the Founding of Dasai, the "City of Soldiers", the Narfost Plain is visited more often, some hunters try their luck, but not many return. The traderoute along the Sharadon Forest is then opened, in the beginning used mainly by the Ráhaz-Dáth Mercenaries to reach Thaehavos.
Offensive of Stratanian patriots against the Thalambathian government
Stratanian patriots attempt to overthrow the Thalambathian government. The rebels are easily defeated and flee to Thaehavos. In the following centuries several groups of patriots demand the restoration of Strata's most important part, the harbour, by acts of protest as well as violent actions. It is thought that the Tristin partially organized the resistance emanating from Marcogg.
Thaehavos declared Free Town and renamed to "Bardavos"
Bardavos, the former Thaehavos, with the ascension of Santhros the Wise to the Santharian throne is officially declared a "Free Town of Bards" and thus renamed to Bardavos.
