The philosophical musings of the now extinct Tiquaitan men are regarded amongst the most profound and enlightening concepts discussed by any civilisation, modern or archaic. Most of what we know of the Tiquaitan men (and particularly of their famous philosophy and poetry) comes from archives of the Tarshiinite priesthood, much of the Old Republic’s wisdom being seized by them after the fall. Perhaps to give a better understanding of the nature of Tiquaitan philosophy, one of Decipher Ziron’s acquaintances within the Tarshiinite priesthood has managed to procure a copy of Monk Sasarta’s renowned essay summarising the works of the four classical greats of Tiquaitan philosophy.
 

One of the many popular tales of adventure written by the celebrated Savant of Literature Umorii Sasarta, a man who amongst other things besides his writings created various musical instruments from coral and fathered the eventual polymath Monk Sasarta. 'Otapii and the Cave' follows one of the many adventures of Sasarta's recurring hero Otapii, a man with varying backgrounds depending on which of the stories is being read. As is typical of many of the Otapii tales, in 'Otapii and the Cave' our protagonist seeks out treasure, only to eventually bite off more than he can chew.
 

The following text is attributed to the journal of Ishalude Aramashal, one of Mistress Landaria Celene's 'Disciples of the Blood', her personal retinue of bodyguards. It details the only occasion in history wherein a Marmarran Witch Queen has been challenged to a duel by a member of the militant 'Red Sisters' organisation. Considered to be the most important event in validating the strength of the Order in all history, the clash between the Red Sisters' elusive brand of Blood Magic and the archetypeal Marmarran art of Eludian Sorcery demonstrating that the Red Sisters are most definetely a force to be reckoned with.
 

This account details ‘Selios the Champion’, the first Cyran champion of the Zhunite Games who eventually rose to be most praised Archon in the history of Cyras, and his rival Nakratos, a Karakanite athlete turned military captain. Claiming to be the greatest athlete in all of Zhun and the long-standing 'Titan of Karakan', Nakratos was shamed by his defeat at the hands of Selios, an amateur and underdog, in the Trials of Strength at the Zhunite Games, an event which the Karakanites had won consistently for forty years. As customary for successful athletes, both Selios and Nakratos were instated to their respected militaries and were made captains. Bitter and vengeful, Nakratos sent his company against Selios, knowing that to avoid bloodshed he would invoke the ‘Right of Champions’- a Zhunite military tradition whereby a battle between two forces could be averted if both commanders agreed to a fight to the death.
 

As a member of the Venraius Kogianate, the Enkyklopediac and Compendiumist Decipher Ziron is a part of a very complex family. This book charts the journey of one such complex relative, his nephew Aristo Ziron, over Western Nybelmar and eventually to Sarvonia, encountering a number of trials and tribulations along the way.
 

Decipher Ziron, and his bodyguard Mila Metariel, arrive in Marmarra after receiving a letter from his nephew Aristo. Meeting the Venraius Housemaster, Karias, he endeavours to purchase the freedom of his Nephew.
 

The party of three Marmarrans continues their journey towards the Zhunite Desert. A secretive Ziron, Aristo appears to guard his past ferociously, before one member of the party becomes the target of a mysterious individual.
