Spell Effect. This
spell creates the magical virus "Kord's Fever of
Nightmares". This virus causes the victim to get a high, though not lethal,
fever with the fever dreams amplified- Thrashings are strong enough to break
bones or disconnect muscles. The dreams themselves can be lethal if the person
is in it deep enough and they die in it, then they may truly die.

Casting Procedure.
For this spell you must brew the virus in whatever quantity you wish and later
use this potion. These ingredients should be mixed in an appropriately sized
container and put over fire until it begins to boil quickly. Let it sit until
the somewhat unpleasant odor which should have been always present disappears.
Take it off the fire and let it cool until a scum appears on the surface. Once
this is done draw the rune in the scum then put it back on to boil for another
day.
When the potion is complete put it into some liquid that is to be ingested by
the target or targets. This should infect them with the virus which becomes
airborn after half-a-day, with symptoms showing after a full day.

Magical Formula.
Kái Ór Cuá
(Styrásh
"Kái Ór Cuá"),
meaning "powerful spark of seperation".
This formula intensely focuses the infection with the destructive powers of the
Ecuá. Very often also a rune is used: A circle with a horizontal line through
the middle.

Target. Anywhere from 1
to 25 people, with the potion being contained in something from the size of a
bowl to a large pot accordingly. After that the initial contamination of
whatever liquid doesn't really matter, as the virus will spread itself easily
through whatever populace. Best used in towns and cities for large scale
destruction.

Reagents. The potion
for it is made up with the following ingredients: 50%
Water, 20% Wolf Blood (any kind), 10%
Lythien, 9% Crushed Deer Teeth (any
kind), 7% Sulcho Musroom, 2% Crushed
Wizardleaf, 1% Powdered Tansia Bush
Seeds, 0.5% Puliquay Herb, 0.5%
Krakenweed.
Also Powdered Horse's Hoof (any kind) should be added. If this ingredient is
left out by some of the novices to this spell then the virus could become
intransmittable, weak, or simply not infect the target at all. Even those more
powerful at this spell usually add this ingredient to the potion, just to make
it stronger. It should be added after the rune in drawn, during the 24 hour
boiling period.

Range. Ingestion of
initial potion. After that, within one and a half
ped of infected person.
Three peds if the person
has a coughing or sneezing fit.

Casting Time.
About 1 and a half days in the brewing of the initial potion. 1 day for full
infection of target, whether ingesting intial potion or contaminated by previous
victim.

Duration. The fever
will last about two days unless the victim dies or is given the antidote. This
does not count the day it takes for symptoms to appear.

Counter Measures/Enhancing Measures.
The Antidote is made of: 40% Water, 30%
Ground Odea Moss, 10%
Crushed Yrom Leaves, 8%
Rose Petal Extract 6% Powdered
Cloewen Flowers, 6%
Loriv Berry Juice.
The antidote should be prepared the same way as the potion was, and can be
distributed the same way, though it is not transmittable. For the antidote to
work the same person who made the virus must make it, otherwise it will not do
anything.
The antidote is most effective when not dilluted in other liquids, however, and
also more effective if administered within the first day after ingestion of the
virus. It is hard to get the victim to swallow once in the throes of the fever.
Although injection is the best method during the two day period of the fever,
one should be careful of the thrashing of the victim.
