This song is from the Kuglimz peoples and is a traditional song, sung at weddings and births to welcome the beloved into the family or the new baby into the community. At weddings, the song is traditionally sung by the fa'limus (bridegroom) and ewyn'limus (bride) to each other, sometimes together, sometimes separately, and sometimes alternating verses and singing the chorus together. When sung for a new baby, the parents usually sing it together when the child is formally welcomed into the community. It may be done with or without instrumental accompaniment.
