THE DUNE MOUSE

The Dune Mouse

Image description:

"Dune Mouse" is the common name for the styrásh "Injèrcál'halthról". A Dune Mouse is not a true mouse, although a member of the rodent family. Dune Mice are 10 to 14 cm long with short silky hair. To keep their bodies off the burning sands they have long hind legs and feet, the soles of which are insulated with dense pads of fur. They also use these hind legs to leap away when agitated or frightened. Image drawn by Talia Sturmwind.
