THE
MERFOLK
The Merfolk are located along most coastal shores
of Santharia, but are most commonly found in the strait between
the R'unorian
Isles and the
mainland. They prefer resting and preening in the shallower warm waters but often
venture out into the deeps to hunt and play. They are sentient creatures, although
not high in intelligence. They are humanoid above the
waist, merging into a strong fish-tail below. Merfolk
are said to come in male (mermen) female (mermaids) and neuter genders (mer)
although only the females appear in public; that is, above water in view of
other races.

THE
PSYRPENT
LIZARDS
Psyrpents are a lizard race, mainly living in the northwestern parts of
Sarvonia. They are said to stem from a wizard's experiment, in which they
were created as servants to the mage, who are themselves capable of casting
magic. From a prototype, called the Protosyrpent, the Psyrpent race has
developed in the course of time with free different breeds
who form a society of their own.

THE
ULVUR
SHAPESHIFTERS
The Ulvur (the same word is
used for both singular and plural forms) are an ancient and mysterious race.
Their existence is doubted by many and mostly mentioned in legends and fairytales
at the most northern tribes of the ice continent of
Cyhalloi, such as
the Cyhallrhim elves or the
Kasumarii. Most information concerning this
mythical race therefore is gathered through ancient tomes recounting legends of
the far north and of narrations of travellers who claim to have met these
men-beasts themselves.
The Ulvur are part men and part
wolf, and originated from and along with
wolves, which they hold in highest kinship. They are shapeshifters and have
three different forms, from man-like to
wolf-like with a special battle form
between these two extremes, the man-wolf. Ulvur are said to live in large packs based in great citites deep within the frozen woods of
Cyhalloi, and in each pack there is a leader who rules with the counciling of
the other pack members.
