The sun was sinking into the gulf of Thermaicos the last day of Spring and painted Thessalonica with this bright red that inspires lovers and painters. This evening of 1977 I chose to come to life. I was born in Thessalonica, the capital of Macedonia in northern Greece. A city with a population of about 1.000.000. My parents come from a small village of 2.000 souls 45 km west of Thessalonica called Neohoropoulon. I spent these years between Thessalonica in working days and Neohoropoulon during weekends.

Primary School (1983-1989)

Went to primary school in Thessalonica. In the Fourth Grade we moved to Neohoropoulon and I came for the first time in touch with Tolkien’s work, namely with "The Hobbit". Then I realized my love for fantasy. In 1987 I got my first computer, an Amstrad CPC 6128 and 2 years later decided to get a PC, a state of the art 8086 at 8 MHz, with an EGA 16 colour card.

Gymnasium (1989-1992)

Time to go to the Gymnasium (the first 3 years of High School) in Neohoropoulon. Except for me having a great time, reading lots of books and deciding that being an alley beggar or a lawyer were the only things I could do well in life, nothing of real importance occurred.

Lyceum (1992-1995)

Attended the Lyceum (the last 3 years of High School) and moved back to Thessalonica. This period I read "The Lord of the Rings". Moreover, this period involved lots of reading for the final exams that would determine who goes to the University.

University & Practicum (1996-2001)

The existence of this unity proves that my reading actually paid off and I passed to the Law School of Thessalonica. These four years involve lot’s of fun, study and alcohol! And like every nice thing in life end very quickly. In 2000 I also found out a site in the internet that dealt with Tolkien’s heritage while I was trying to find a Tolkien desktop for my PC. There were some crazy people that wanted to create a world. I felt like home with their insanity and decided to stay. This site was Santharia. Meanwhile, I started my practicum as a trainee lawyer, which is a training stage before a law school graduate can participate in the exams for gaining the permission of practicing the profession of the lawer.

Military Service (2001-2003)

In Greece military service is obligatory for every male. So came my time to join the Hellenic Army. I took myself and went to Messologi (where lord Byron died), then to Crete (to the Reserve Infantry Officers School, as I was selected to be one), later on to a God forsaken outpost in the Rhodopi Mountains as the commander, then to the base of the regiment in Comotini, next to Athens to the Recruiters School and now to Thessalonica in the 6th Recruit Command, where I hope to stay till I ‘m through with my service. Quite a journey, eh?
