Biography

I pretty much don’t have a clue what to write here. Not a lot worth mentioning has happened so far in my life.

Ever since I can remember I’ve been going to school, gradually working my way up towards a degree and up to the current date I’m still busy with it. Until a few years ago I followed the regular schooling, learning all the basic stuff. I followed a direction which focussed on science and math, but still had to study the hardest for French and German. In October 2003 I started at the university of Ghent and up to today I’m studying to be an engineer in computer science.

Somewhere in 2004 I was searching for some info on tower shields when I stumbled across the entry on them at Santharia. As the Silmarillion was (and still is) one of my favourite books, I was interested in the site, but not having much time I just bookmarked it and disregarded the whole thing. Months later I was browsing though my bookmarks and I rediscovered the link to Santharia. At first I just browsed a bit, reading some things here and there. Looking at the RPG forum I was thinking ‘why not’ and here I am now.

Favourite Book

Various. It’s shame I don’t really have time to read much anymore. Some of my favourites are: 1984 (George Orwell), Silmarillion (J.R.R. Tolkien), Net Force series (Created by Tom Clancy and Steve Pieezenik, written by Steve Perry), The Running Man (Stephen King, written under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman), etc.

Also worth mentioning are various comics. Sin City and De Kronieken van de Zwarte Maan could be listed among my favourites, but there are several more. I’m especially fond of those that are drawn realistically.

My latest reading addiction is online comics.
Favourite Musician

It’s hard to name favourites, since there are so many things I like. 'Classical' music, Metal (pretty much all the variations), Reggae, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, Hip hop & rap (mostly the older stuff), Folk, Chansons, Punk (mostly the older stuff), some of the electronic stuff, etc.
Favourite Game

Various board games. On PC my favourite ones would be Duke Nukem 3D, Half Life I & II, GTA (all of them), Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War and Enemy Territory. I don’t have much time to play them anymore though. And of course, play-by-post role playing should be in here as well.
Hobbies

Play-by-post role playing & developing, volleyball, going out in general, sometimes gaming a bit (PC). I used to read a lot, but I don’t have much time for that anymore.
