Santiago

Pic of Santiago

was born in the sunny, noisy and quite night-life thriving city of Valencia, in a cold, quiet evening of November, 1973. A dreamy child I was, though still recoverable to proper living; that is, until I came across a certain book by someone named Tolkien. That event, and the subsequent discovering of a strange social ritual called roleplaying made a total freak of me. Lovecraft, peplum movies, and Conan comics didn't make things better, of course. The fact is that I always enjoyed drawing, so, having drawing in one hand, and fantasy in the other... you get the picture. I did some architecture studies, but that is shrouded in a deep mist of forgetfulness...

In early 2002 I became part of the Santharian Dream, where I concentrate on illustrating Compendium entries for Places, Races and People portraits. Examples of pictures I've done for Santharia can be found below at the Santharian Works table.

ou can commission work from Quellion/Santiago!

I'm doing artwork on commission, ranging from pencil sketches, pencil portraits, ink portraits to small or large digital pics. Check out my Homepage for pricing details or contact me directly if you're interested in my works!

The Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award for Craftsmanship and Skill
Quellion is another artist who joined the Santharian Dream early on, happy to offer his incredible artistic skills to all things that was developed in the Dream we shared. Most famous are of course his races and tribe pictures, which made the differences between the various people perfectly clear, and also contained numerous little extras which we could re-use multiple times in other entries. Aside from that Quellion helped out with drawing graphics for the Santharian mainframe, he did the whole Santhworld interface, and filled Bestiary and Herbarium with loads of breathtaking images which put other fantasy galleries to shame. And if you see a super-detailed picture in the Places section, done perfectly right down to the tiniest leaf and realized exactly according to the description on site, there's a good chance that it's one of Quellion's masterpieces. Cheers to one of the greatest Santharian artists who again and again helped the idea of the Dream by giving it a face, rich in colour, detail and scope. Quellion represents one of the essential columns of Santharia, and cannot be thanked enough for his dedication to the cause of the Dream. Congratulations from the team for this well deserved awarded!
