Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. This mini-update we bring you only one addition to the Dream, yet something entirely new we haven't tried before: A Santhworld module in form of a fan project for Thief III by Eidos Interactive, which allows us to include screenshots of the game to get an interesting story across. Yep, actually the module we realized called "Uninvited" is a short story, something you could call a suspenseful mystery, horror, ghost thingy that doesn't take much longer than half an hour to complete. It has a unique plot, is fully illustrated, features lots of music and sound effects and a hopefully convincing atmosphere - well, have a look yourself by entering Santhworld and typing START UNINVITED, preferably with the lights turned down first and the volume up...

Lots of people contributed for this little project indirectly, so here's a list on who was involved: Artimidor (story & realization), Bard Judith, Vladeptus and the T2X Audio Team (music) - the latter providing three incredibly atmospheric pieces, many thanks for those. Furthermore we have used pictures of Bard Judith, Seeker, Quellion and Enayla and sound effects from Soundsnap.com. Screenshots were implemented with friendly permission mainly from three Thief III missions, namely "Bad Feeling" (Serge), "The Bridge" (str8g8) and "The Hotel" (Savar). - So what are you waiting for? There's an errie secret to be discovered down there in that house in Voldar...

Update Statement. After some update turbulence in the past weeks we're happy to get a decent one this time under our belt - especially thanks to the tremendous help with site updating by Mira, Altario and Garret, who premiered with preparing a bunch of entries this time, making life a bit easier for the dear webmaster! Great job, everyone! - So what have we got this time? A creepy picture of a Bone Tree for example, the first contribution of Seeker, our most recent art contributer - welcome on board! Or a marvelous entry on the Forest of Contamar, along with illustration (Miés'efér, pic Bard Judith). New musical pieces you can be downloaded at the Eyelian or the Eyelian Music entry (Gean Firefeet), or even on our newly added Parodies page (Alysse). A new Western Nybelmar tribe awaits with the Tiquaitan Men (Decipher), while the Tehuriden Clan (Mira) makes its appearance as well. Smee gets more Manthrian stuff done with his entry on the Village of SImsy, Seth has the Kanarma Tree Myth for us in store plus details on Mullog Belief, Shabakuk delights us with the Never-Sit-Still Mushroom and Rookie opens up a new book containing Brownie Myths, while Grunok explains further details of the Serphelorian Language - to name just a few things. Coming Up. After a development break and commenting round of a few weeks we have at least caught up with a few things, so that we can continue with regular development now. Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. Another turbulent real-life week took its toll again on this week's site update, which once had to be considerably reduced the second time in a row. Nevertheless we've got a massive entry in this week, the Nightshade Carnival, a cooperative work led by Bard Judith with participation also by Alysse and Val O'Neil. And Gean Firefeet makes sure that the whole thing has its proper music as well! We also welcome Shabakuk in Santharia, as he has delivered his very first work for the site, the Gossiper Bird - let's hope a lot more similar stuff is still to come! Updates were also made regarding the corrections of various mistakes on the site, new Styrásh vocabulary was added, the architect Renatus Venseslao Vitalis dhil Arke-Akirask Ambroleschi (now say that three times in a row!) makes his appearance in the Krath Empire entry - and we have a tree that produces chocolate milk, the Khomilchfruit Tree (Decipher) and a not entirely harmless plant, the Forget-Me-Nut (Tharoc). Hmmm... Guess I've lost my train of thought. Now where was I? Ah, yes...

Coming Up. We currently have stopped development of new stuff and try to work through various things that have been posted on the Forum, yet need final comments and touches to get them up on the site. And as we're talking about quite a lot of entries, the development stop for new contributions is likely to continue for quite a while. Make sure therefore to comment on other people's work, so that we can get back to regular business as soon as possible!

Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. Due to real life issues (like un unneeded cold of the webmaster) this week's update is only a miniature version, nevertheless we've got at least a view things together which weren't that complicated to integrate or were already pretty much done during the last weeks. So you can check out at least illustrations from our Santharian artists, like a tribe picture of a Serphelorian Warden (Quellion), an portrait of our local bard and dwarven mistress Judith of Bardavos - or have a look at the famous Choan of Orc (Bard Judith). Drawing work was also done on the Santhworld game environment, where Quellion helped revising the interface, so that everything has a much more detailed look now - and we've got brand new interface buttons!

Coming Up. I've heard there's a carnival in town, so we'd better check that one out next time... Niski's masterwork on the Rimmerins Ring is also now on the finishing line and should be completed any minute, the entry on the Tehuriden clan might give insights where Mira's hailing from, Decipher has a Mastergeneral of Marmarra to offer, and the beautiful Forest of Contamar also awaits integration. See you next update, which will hopefully take place pretty soon!

Bestiary Updated entry on the Domestic Pig, adding illustration of this popular animal found mostly among humans (pic Quellion)
Herbarium Added entry on the Pfepper Grass, an unspectacular, yet well loved plant, as it makes a great spice to add to food (Talia Sturmwind)
entry on the Roori Vine, a tough, stringy weed found deep underground the oil-filled lakes underneath the Western Bay in northern Nybelmar (Rookie Brownbark)
Library Updated the historical account on "Orcen Dueling", adding illustration of the legendary Choan of Orc (pic Bard Judith)
People Updated entry on Judith of Bardavos, adding illustration of the famous Masterbard (pic Faugar)
Races/Tribes Updated entry on the Serphelorian Humans ("Wardens"), adding illustration of a typical female Warden (pic Quellion)
Website Added toolbar menu for Santhworld, allowing players now to easily access basic game functions like displaying the inventory or the score, saving or restoring a game state etc. via a simple mouseclick. The buttons display tooltip texts upon mouseover and also change depending on the context they are displayed in. Additional function updates are in the works. Furthermore the Santhworld interface was updated considerably in terms of graphic quality, and parts of the interface were completely redrawn to harbour the improved menu system (pics Quellion, coding Grinch & Artimidor)
Updated the "Mysteries of Nepris" module of
Santhworld, expanding the aboveground world with more than dwo dozens of extra rooms and two quests centered around the Prosperous Farmhouse and the Derkhan family. Also expanded was the Nepris module section, so that it now features maps of the Prosperous Farmhouse area, an updated Quests Overview with the proper scores, which now also work in the game - type score to monitor your progress and get a rank assessment! (Artimidor, pics Bard Judith, Faugar and Quellion, music by Gean Firefeet)
