Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. A lot of stories await in this week's update, something for everyone's taste! If you like adventurous stuff then check out "Otapii and the Cave" (Decipher), where we've just added the final part of the story. The younger readers will enjoy two new Bedtime stories like "How the Hob-Hound Came to Be" (Jenna) or "The Dreadful Orcen Mage and the Brave Boy" (Deklitch), while an eerie mystery reigns in "The Gift" (Artimidor), waiting to be uncovered. Aside from that we've got further illustrations, like the Packox (Jonael) and the Tripoint Polearm as well as the Aglan Slug (both Seeker). Valan introduces us to the Salóh Coast and Eldor has researched the Lesrin'mar Mixture (Eldor, pic Bard Judith), thus getting her very first entry on site - congratulations!

Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. Despite the holiday season a bunch of good stuff made it up on site this time: As you can see when looking at the pictures to the left, artist wonder Seeker has been busy again since the last update and finished illustrations of two plants, two beasts and a tribe for you - to view them check out the Orcristh Orcs, the Trinity Herb and the Zifel Plant and finally the Gossiper Bird and the Ancythrian Bladeserpent. Cool stuff all the way through! Also in this update are first major timeline details on the Avanian Faith (Artimidor, more to follow), the parts II and III of our Lectures on Magic (Coren), a new tavern game called Arvins Arrows (Deklitch) and Luca stops by at the Dev Board again after a while and brings us the Riding Kuro. Oh, and don't overlook Seth's fascinating mullog myth about Naule and the Ancestors' Song, which awaits in the mythology section! Also fully in progress is the re-design of the member pages which was long overdue. The new pages now feature prettier tables, in-page linking and integrated Dev Awards (Artimidor and Fox). Various pages have been updated by now already, the rest will follow with the next updates!

Coming Up. Jonael's Oxen Mount picture is to be expected to be put up next update with Dekitch's entry, then the Maces overview should finally make it, and maybe even a new chair concept for a change... That-Which-Devours is also waiting for you and a Crested Horse as well. For the readers another mixture of mystery, horror and ghost story is being worked on by Artimidor and we might be able to serve some stew to complement the menu...

Bestiary Updated entry on the Ancythrian Bladeserpent, adding illustration of this large and dangerous sea-snake (pic Seeker)
Updated Cows of Caelereth Overview, adding the Oxen Pack Mount description, picture included (Deklitch, pic Jonael)

Added entry on the Riding Kuro, used for fast travel over the harsh desert lands of southwestern Aeruillin (Luca the Thief)
Herbarium Updated entry on the Trinity Herb, adding illustration of this sacred plant dedicated to Eyasha (pic Seeker)
Updated entry on the Zifel Plant, adding illustration of this plant with magical properties (pic Seeker)
Library Added song "Rover Nancy's Carriage Bed", another song about this famous Butterfly Rovers member (Deklitch Hardin)
History Added great parts of the Timeline of the Avanian Faith, dealing with the elven interpretation on how the world was created through Avá's Dream. Timelines dealing with the Twelvern Faith and Stonecreed versions of the beginning of time will be added in the course as well. Note that all these timelines are summarized in a new History submenu titled "Mythical Timelines". Icons in front of the mythical events will eventually mark the belief associated with this date (Artimidor)
Magic Added part two and three of our "Lectures on Magic" in the series "Understanding Ximaxian Magic Through the Cár'áll". Part II deals with the issue of: "What makes up the Cár'áll?" while part III answers the question "What is Magic?" (Coren FrozenZephyr)
Misc. Added entry on the Arvins Arrows Game, a very popular taverns game, originating from ancient Kyrania (Deklitch Hardin)
Mythology Added entry on Naule and the Ancestors' Song, a mullog myth that concerns the silverwood bug hivelings which occasionally occur in the Silvermarshes (Seth Ghibta)

Also updated was the Orcish Tribes Overview of Nybelmar, which now features pictures of the Orcristh and the Chyrakisth Orcs. Also updated was the Orcish Tribes of Northern Savonia, where the Rhom-Oc orc pic was added (pic Seeker & Faugar)
Team Adjusted various member pages to a new design, which resembles the history table definitions and the in-page linking scheme which we are used to from regular Compendium entries. Also included are now Dev Award graphics and the respective laudations if a member has won one of those already. Converting all the member pages to a new design will take a while, so expect conversions to be done bit by bit within the next months. Examples of converted pages: Alysse the Likely, Artimidor, Bard Judith, Faugar, Miraran, Seeker, Rookie, Fox, Rayne etc. - to name just a few representativ ones (Artimidor & Fox)

Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. I'm happy to report that there's no shortage of illustrations this week! Thanks especially to the tremendous work of Seeker we've got two key places illustrated, namely the Manthrian Port of Ciosa, where we got a picture for the Starcharts Astrendum, and the Enclave of Alvang. Faugar contributed a Remusian Warsword, while a picture Sheil did a while ago was finally used to go with the Krean Arcane Arts entry - and last but not least Seeker celebrated Seth's membership inauguration with an impressive depiction of the Kyrattin bull, which features as one of the key characters in her Hunter and the Red King story. More wonderful tales await also with "The Bees' Gift" and the Gobbleswap Myth (both Shabakuk). As for tribes we have the Gondolwenmith Men of northwestern Nybelmar to offer (Coren) and the Sarvonian Aohu'o Brownies (Garret). And if you want to look into Ximaxian Magic, then you've got your chance by checking out the first installments of the lectures on Cár'all (Coren). Congrats go finally to Foraste Lydan for finishing the Grass Rippers entry, Foraste's first entry on site, and the same applies to Thodin, who researched the Mortalon Battle Axe for the Compendium.

Coming Up. Further illustrations fresh from Seeker's workshop are already in the making, among them the Ancythrian Blade Serpent, the Gossiper Bird, the Zifel and the Trinity herbs. If we're lucky, Jonael might also do the final touches on his oxen. More magic lectures are to be expected soon as well, maybe a spell, then we've got details on Maces, Hob-Hounds and what not, while a major rework on early myths and history stuff is currently in progress to hopefully produce results within the next months. Until next time then, hope you enjoy this week's update!

Our new member!

As already mentioned last update we've got another apprentice that needs to be heaved officially into Santharian membership ranks! We're talking about Seth Ghibta (also known as Letty Wilson in real-life) from Scotland - it's definitely time to improve our Scots quota, so we're taking care of that now. Seth has been around since more than half a year and has dedicated her entries mainly to Bestiary stuff, so by now we know a lot more about mollusks, newts and parasitic limpets. But not only that, Seth also helped with elaborating the Mullog Belief and its Origin Myth, discovered fascinating details on the Karnarma Tree - and has shown her creativity once more with her masterwork on the Hiveling Creature. And that the latter is a winner already shows in the fact that it already inspires further myths that will find their way on site soon!

The Forum feast celebrating the inauguration of our most recent member takes place in this thread on a sunny day in the castle courtyard in New-Santhala. As always: Free virtual drinks and cookies are included! So just join the fun and congratulate Seth to her achievement. See you there!
